I love this place. We have been here numerous times, me and my friend's favorite spots to eat. We went for there Dias de los muertos Party, it was perfect . The seating was a little off especially because I had a reservation. The Manager is awesome he always tries to accommodate us. One of my go to dishes here , the short rib burrito !!!! We tried the loaded yuca , this was also pretty good. I also tried their Halloween inspired drinks, The Green Lantern. Perfect balance of sweet and sour. The Cadillac margarita is also a nice choice. The staff is very welcoming and awesome to work with. They always have the best party events, so check them out if you haven't yet. A plus is that they have complimentary valet thurs - sat.

Love the vibes here. It gives off simple date night, but intimate. Catching up with old friends, and classy. Winding down for happy hour, but a for sure spot. The waitress was nice and friendly. Food came fast.

Our server Toni was nice and welcoming. She made sure we were taken care of, it was a party of 10+. The loaded yuca was the best for a starter. My fave was the rib eye burrito. The serving was big I couldn't finish it all! It was sooo tasty! Can't wait to come back

Quemar is an Upscale, Fine Dining Cocina. Great Ambiance and decor. Nice lounge area. Plan to come and enjoy good food, company, and entertainment. Ibhad the oysters. They were fresh as if they were just harvested from the ocean. The fish tacos were very tasty. The ARRACHERA (BEEF SKIRT) were over the top. Nice flavors with the medium-rare cook i requested. Host and servers were great. Quemar is not just god food and time, it is truly a Vibe. You want to check this place out if you are in the area.

Private event in the "Tranquilo Lounge" (right side of establishment). Cozy, spacious spot for group of 30 people to chill and converse over apps and very good artisan adult bevs from the bar in that space. My Estilo viejo was an innovative take on a Smokey old fashion (5/5 stars). It was rivaled in overall quality and experience by the Puesta del sol, like a sweet spicy strawberry/jalepeno margarita. I heard the tacos were good -- they were gone as soon as they dropped -- but I can attest the wings were large, juicy, and flavorful. A few HDTVs were showing ESPN channels which was cool.

Arroz Con Pollo

Service was amazing. I love that on the weekend they have a dj around 9-12. Great vibes and good music. It's a great spot for a ladies night or a date night. Very cute ambiance. The guacamole and the queso dip are amazing! The arroz con pollo was pretty good. I would get it again. My friend had it too and said it could've had a little more flavorful. We all enjoyed the drinks as well. They are know for their tequila.

I came to Quemar with some girlfriends for a birthday dinner over the weekend, and it was fantastic. When you walk in, it's such a vibe. To the right there is a separate bar area, which later on had a DJ. The restaurant is so spacious, with a large bar and plenty of seating for large parties. We all started with a some cocktails. A few of us went for the cold brew martini, one got a strawberry margarita and another friend had the Paloma. I loved that the espresso martini wasn't creamy! 9/10. Majority of their menu is small plates and tapas, which is honestly great when it's a large group of girls who are indecisive! We ordered the chips and salsa with the salsa roja (not too mild, not too spicy). From there, we ordered the charred Brussels sprouts that are topped with ancho sweet potato purée, maple-dijon vinaigrette, pepitas and goat cheese. SO good. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Brussels. We then ordered some oysters, which were served with lime and a cilantro oil. I'm not a huge oyster fan, but the girls enjoyed. Now for my favorite - the fish tacos. They are topped with burnt orange & chile slaw, baja sauce and salsa roja. There's a little kick to them but they were phenomenal. A close second was the carne asada tacos, topped with ancho-coffee rub, chile crema, avocado-cucumber relish and pickled onions. Quemar definitely is a spot for flavor. Every bite of every dish was so flavorful, it would be hard to find something you don't enjoy. The service was 10/10. Any questions we had were asked which such detail. I look forward to returning!

The first thing that i like about this place is the Valet parking is FREE. The place dont need reservation BUT i highly recommended to get 1. We call to get reservation they said we can go walk in but when we get there they told us we can go outside dining but only until 8pm coz the place is reserved or go to bar section.. so we ended at bar instead of booth its okay its only me and my husband. The place is gorgeous, love the design you can see the grill kitchen its open and theres also a table infront. You can see them grilling the food which is awesome. Our server/ bartender is amazing very attentive just forgot to ask her name. The appetizer tuna guacamole is a must have.. 1 of the few tuna appetizer that I will rate 10/10. The tacos ill rate 7 its just that ive taste better from tijuana. The grilled fish is 9/10. Fish taste really fresh and the sauce with almonds is delicious. The adult drink is 100/10. If you like sweet drinks like me this come with alcohol and Nutella. And the cake is 9/10 almost finished before I take the picture. Over 5star.

What an AMAZING experience. We had a reservation but the place was super packed. We spent about 20 minutes in the bar section drinking tequila shots! Our server Johnathan was awesome. Super friendly and great attitude. I actually want to hang out with this guy! The restaurant it self was pretty loud with all the chatter but not too bad. The tequila helped. The food was crazy good. The menu was smaller than I expected but plenty of food to keep the table occupied. If you want a great meal and a great time, come check it out. 5 Stars to Johnathan!!!

Very cool trendy vibe, great service and delicious food! We appreciated being able to make reservation online, although still had to wait 20 mins for our table when we arrived. Drinks were interesting, although quite pricey. The food was beautiful and tasty, but portions were very small and you had to buy everything separately - $55 steak did not come with any sides. Valet parking is also a nice touch, as well as music and a lounge with a dance floor.

Visited this amazing place with my beautiful daughter for the first time but definitely not my last. We attended a wine tasting which I highly recommend. Unlike other tastings, this one serves different small plates that complement the wines that are being offered. There were a series of three different types of wines and we were served three amazing mini meals you can say. What really sealed it for me was the fact they remembered my daughter from a previous visit and remembered that she was vegetarian. Immediately they asked her if that was still the case and asked about my preferences. The chef went above and beyond and created three different mini meals for us that were similar to what they were serving everyone else but in a vegetarian style. Truth be told, our spur of the moment meals looked better and tasted amazing. The staff members were superb and everyone was friendly and very attentive. We lacked for nothing the entire time we were there. Do yourselves and your pallets a favor and head over to Quemar.

Mexico City vibes less than ten minutes from Virginia Beach. Appetizers were delicious. Ceviche was fish based only- covered by avocado and onions. Loaded Yuca Frita was def our favorite. Must order. Chicken Tiga was ordered with add on of mushroom. Cheese was a bit strong but was tasty and well cooked. Waiter was sweet and paid attention to detail. Great ambiance. Great Date Night Recommendation.

Euni B.

Great place for date night. Small lounge plus restaurant. Great menu with shareables and drinks. Waiter was very informative. Unsure why there is valet when the car is parked literally across from the restaurant. The loaded yuca fries are my favorite! I ordered another plate!

Food was horrible. Their fish taco was the worst we ever had. The skirt steak was chewy like rubber. Everything over salted and seasoned.

The only way to get in is on special occasions so inquire within or on the Sly Fox website. The staff were so wonderful and kind really catering to our every need. We started with Infused water and mimosas. The Raspberry mimosa was sweet and bubbly with the perfect amount of raspberry sorbet. The food was beautifully displayed in a buffet style. Such a great variety. Fresh fruit of all kinds, french toast, waffles and chicken, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage , scrabbled eggs, quiche, house potatoes, deviled eggs, and a charcuterie board . On the sweet side they had mini cinnamon rolls, danish, brownies, cookies and cupcakes with the galentine theme. They had chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries with pretty pink food grade glitter. Plenty to choose from and plenty to eat. We loved it. In order to get into the speakeasy it is tickets only. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time either in person or over the phone. It is a cozy, comfy space to dine and have drinks in a relaxed classy beautifully decorated establishment. The interior design emanates speakeasy. Every detail of design was carefully curated with the utmost intention. Staff was fantastic. Even though it was a brunch buffet, staff were attentive, friendly and frequently checked on all tables to address any needs or questions. The lovely staff were genuinely happy to take photos for us without any prompting. The flow of the buffet was perfect, and the food presentation was delightfully charming! There was a photo back drop available and the decor was so festive, and classy yet simple. The decor wasn't over the top , it was just the right amount of decorations to add pizzazz and celebrate with festive spirit. We all had a very enjoyable time celebrating Galentine's day! It was a wonderful event in an equally wonderful space. The music was on point, as well as the volume level. It was loud enough to enjoy the music, yet low enough that you could hold a conversation without screaming to hear each other. It was very peaceful and even if you don't choose a booth, the tables on the opposite side of the bar do provide some privacy due to the small partitions. The variety of food offered was just right (not overwhelmingly too many options and not too little options) and the food was tasty. It was an excellent first impression that left me excited to await what other fun events they will hold in the future.
