Had a reservation for an anniversary dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, drinks and dessert. The ambience feels more date night or girls night, in my opinion. The Paloma was great! Such a cute freaking place. We couldn't get a reservation so we sat in the lounge area which was really cozy with velvet couches, velvet chairs and a big round table in the middle. Honestly I'd rather eat in the lounge next time. We ordered a bunch of drinks. I got cava while everyone else ordered fancy drinks. And then we got empanadas and tacos for food. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly. The décor throughout the restaurant was amazing too. Even in the bathroom, they had fancy wallpaper and a lit candle. It was nice. Honestly, I don't know how I would even rate this place because I just have mix feelings for it. Made reservations for our anniversary and I was pretty excited to come here. Friends have told us about this place and it's all over social media; I needed to know what was so good about it. What I don't understand is the valet parking. You're telling me that someone has to park our truck 5 FEET from the entrance?? When we asked the gentlemen if there was a place for us to park if we didnt do valet, he told us it was going to be across the street, further down. The parking lot had so much space, I think valet parking is just unnecessary. Our reservation was at 6pm and we were quickly seated. The place itself was very nice & romantic. Our waiter was super nice, would check up on us and made sure our glasses were never empty. My husband got their ribeye 24oz and that was about $50-$55. It did NOT come with any sides and if you wanted to add some, it was additional $6. He got the mashed potatoes and I kid you not, it was like one heaping spoon. I'm just surprised that their steaks doesnt come with any side and that it cost extra for adding some. Luckily, the steak and mashed potatoes were really good. I got the carne asada sandwich, I saw someone from the other table get a sandwich and it came with fries so I was hoping mine would too. spoiler: it didn't. it was just a carne asada sub sandwich, sitting on a small plate and that was $16-$18. Honestly, I was so sad & still hungry. The only good thing was that the sandwich was pretty good, I just wish it came with more. The service was so fast that we were finished by 6:30. 30 minutes at dinner!!! that's insane. We have never been in and out of a restaurant so quick. We got back to the car and we were like, "that's it?" No complaints on that, we just couldn't believe how quick service was, very impressive. Food was a 8/10, service was definitely a 10/10. Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone,so with that being said let's go!!.. My wife and I came here because we were invited to a family's member birthday celebration dinner, we arrived and quickly realized that parking was limited ( I also had an ideal from reading a review prior to our arrival ) but anyway valet was the only option at that point unless you get here early and ride around looking for a parking spot then you may be in luck but that wasn't the case for us!. We walked in and immediately was greeted by two lady hostesses,we told them we were here for a dinner party and one of them escorted us to the back of the restaurant where the party was reserved in a private room which was accessible to the outdoors if you wanted to go outside for any reason. The waitress greeted us and explained the specials on the menu for that evening. She was straight to the point and efficient even with the music playing and the large number of people that showed up for the birthday dinner party.( she accommodated us quite well with the extra people that showed up!. She took our appetizer and drink orders then came back and took our main course orders!. My wife ordered the Chicken Al Pastor tacos and I ordered the Double Smash Burger that comes with yuca fries,my wife enjoyed her meal, I enjoyed mine but the only drawback was the meat to bread ratio didn't match, it was too much bread or not enough meat so I ended up eating around the burger leaving the excess bread on the plate. The Yuca fries were ok but were not hot enough for my likings.The burger was seasoned well too if I may add. But overall the experience,the service and the ambiance was top notch!. I went on a Wednesday night, it's very nice inside, chill vibe and comfortable atmosphere. What I didn't like was the food. We ordered guacamole, oysters, airline chicken and short rib burrito. The guacamole was off..It was missing something, my friend said maybe jalapeños. The oysters were ok, nothing spectacular about them. The airline chicken included street corn and a salsa. I expected the street corn to be on a cob but it was not, the salsa was more like a purée and the chicken was dry. My friend wasn't very impressed with the burrito. My second time at Quemar on a Saturday night of Valentine's Day weekend. My party of 8 had a reservation at 7:30pm but due to a hectic and super busy night we were not seated until close to 8:30pm. Appertizers were offered to my party for the inconvenience. We ordered the oysters which were melt in your mouth amazing. Yuca fries, brussel sprouts, nachos dip and empanadas were ok. For my main course I had the Chicken Supreme. It was dry and bland. You'll need to add a lot of Chimichurri for flavor. The atmosphere is nice therefore my friends and I gave it a try but food is less to be desired. read more

I drive past this place every day and have never stopped. So glad I went to the 1st Thursday Ladies Night. You walk in and you can feel the vibe and ambience right away. The place is beautiful inside. We sat in the lounge area on comfy couches and chairs. They have really cute seating areas and it's all low light. Great place for a romantic date night. I ordered from the happy hour menu. They have several different types of margaritas, I had the cucumber and then a jalapeno and then I had them combined. All delicious with a Tajin rim. We ordered the guacamole and it was delicious and fresh. We also ordered the Totopos which is pretty much nachos and they were also delicious but the chips weren't super crunchy like our nachos because they have enchilada sauce on them. We had wonderful service by Lydia. It is a little pricy and not somewhere you would go every week but definitely worth a stop for happy hour or a nice dinner date. They had valet parking so be prepared with some cash. Anthony took good care of my Jeep and was very nice. Even the bathroom was nicely decorated and very clean. Meh. I'm kinda bummed. Came here reading all of the rave reviews and I was super excited to try to menu! A friend and I started with the Queso. It was flavorful, but kinda small, also the cheese was so stuck to the cast iron skillet it was really hard to eat :/. I give that a 2 out of 5 stars. Then we ordered the potatoes (the side - not sure of the name) those were amazing! 5/5 on the potatoes. I had the fish tacos, which I enjoyed. However the corn tortilla was super soggy. It took away from the flavor of the fish because I had to eat the tacos with a fork. 3/5. Then my friend had the carne asada tacos. She said they were super fatty and she kept having to grab fat out of her mouth. She finished them because we were hungry but also she kept having to remove fat. 2/5. The drinks and service were really good though. I don't think I'd come back though, over $100 for our meal when I felt like the food wasn't close to what I was expecting. Quemar is now my go-to for a classy night out on Thursdays. The ambiance is great, ideal for date night or girls night out, and the service is second to none. The food is definitely my favorite! I've tried several things and not once have been disappointed, even though the ceviche and carne asada tacos are my favorites. Thursday has drink specials for $5 and they are not skimpy on the flavor and alcohol, so can't beat it, but the other drinks sound yummy too. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the atmosphere itself is nice. If you are going here for solely drinks then it's okay. However, the food was not it. If you're looking for authentic food this place is not the place to eat. Additionally there's a "transaction fee" when I asked the manager about it he said it's illegal to put convenience fee so instead they put transaction. To me that just sounds you worked around the wording. Overall disappointed I chose this place for my birthday dinner. Not to mention the group gratuity is added in after the hidden fees and not just the subtotal for what you ordered. read more
