The acoustics of the building did make for an overly loud dinner as other diner's voices were amplified. Service was prompt and was especially mindful of my special needs due to medical issues. The menu was either à la carte or Italian style with a one price choice of an appetizer/side, pasta, entree & dessert. We chose the 4 course menu. Caviar on house made potato chips & a charcuterie board were also available à la carte. For my first course I chose the ROASTED BEETS with goat cheese, orange supremes, shaved fennel, yuzu vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious. My son chose RAW OYSTERS, laughing king oysters, with cherry mignonette. My Pasta course was CACIO E PEPE spaghettoni, tellicherry black pepper, pecorino-romano & parmigiano-reggiano. I had been searching for a similar pasta since one of my favorite restaurants served a similar family recipe. With the house made pasta, it didn't disappoint. My son chose LINGUINE & CLAMS, eastern shore little neck clams, white wine, garlic, crushed red pepper, & parmigiano. As an entree we both chose LOCAL FLOUNDER with forbidden rice, grilled asparagus, mussel broth-saffron beurre blanc. The flounder filet was tender & flaky, reinforcing my reasoning that eating healthy would allow a dessert. My choice was SORBETTI. raspberry & grapefruit-honeysuckle. Only coffee had begun our day. We did begin with Oysters when we learned that they were Lynnhaven. The special taste & salinity of them is like no other. The Mother's Day Brunch menu featured 4 items. My son chose well. I didn't. His choice was the Soft-Shell Crab Benedict with Poached egg, crispy soft-shelled crab, Cajun hollandaise & home fries. Having been on an eating healthy and light regiment, I chose the Spinach and Mushroom Omelette with Cheddar Cheese & home fries. It was the first menu choice in 40 years that wasn't quality.
