10/10! We visited Hampton Social while vacationing with our Virginia Beach family in Ft Lauderdale. To say we were excited to learn there was one in Virginia Beach was an understatement. The coastal vibes greet you as soon as you step in, almost like being whisked away to the Hamptons (so they really live up to their name in the decor department). We had a party of 10 with reservations and we were quickly seated. Lynn, our server, was amazing. Her knowledge of the menu and drinks was impressive. It was even more impressive after learning this location had only been open for three months. Mango lychee martini... one of the best lychee martinis I've ever had and I consider myself a connoisseur of them! I had the Crab roll with Parmesan truffle fries (upgrade). I can't even describe how packed the buttery roll was with sweet crab meat! Others at the table remarked about their shrimp and lobster rolls. I ended my dining experience with the Starlet espresso martini...another hit. Everyone was pleased with what they had for their meals, drinks and desserts as well as the experience which was highlighted by Lynn who asked to be part of our family because of our vibe. read more

The food was absolutely incredible, and honestly, that's what saved this experience for us. The drinks were also great, when we finally got them. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. It took over 45 minutes to get our drinks, and when they arrived, they completely forgot my girlfriend's drink to the order. Our food order was also incorrect. Our waitress seemed very frazzled while taking our order and mentioned that the bar was behind, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried to be patient. But after waiting 45+ minutes and then having a second incorrect drink sent out, our patience was pretty much gone. At that point, it wasn't just a minor mistake. It became frustrating and really impacted the experience. I spent $140 on my meal and drinks alone, and at that price point, you expect the food and the service to be great. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, but service is a huge part of dining out, especially when you're spending that kind of money. The food was truly exceptional, but unfortunately, the service did not match it. As much as I loved the food, I honestly don't know if I would come back after this experience. It's disappointing because the food had the potential to make this a five-star experience, but the service really fell short. read more

i may be the outlier here, but that's fine. i wanted to like the hampton social, but ... i was not impressed. at all. i will say one of the best things about this spot was the actual restaurant itself. i liked the nautical theme and we were seated right nice to wave park, which was a nice touch. i started off by ordering the guava mezcal. it was refreshing for sure, not sure if they put any actual tequila in the drink, but .... i digress. i started off with the truffle parmesan fries. they were pretty good. they did not hold back on the truffle .... or parmesan. and for my main, i went with the truffle lobster melt & bisque. the tomato bisque was very tasty. but the lobster melt .... it didn't move. and for $34 for a sandwich, i just felt as if something was missing. can't put my finger on it. i ended my night with the donut drops and an espresso martini. the espresso martini was mediocre. but the donut drops were probably the best thing i ate the entire night. and that says a lot. i just feel for the amount of money i spent, i should've been wow'd by my dining experience, by it was definitely lackluster. read more

Celebrated my sister's birthday with friends and it was fantastic! All the food we ordered was delicious! My one complaint is that there wasn't a whole lot of lobster meat in my lobster melt. But the quality and taste was mouth watering! The bisque was tasty as well! I ordered the truffle parmesan fries and holy moly they are delicious! My sister ordered the crab and shrimp bruschetta which was good but I 100% hands down would order the truffle parmesan fries again! Our table had the double wagyu smash burger and white truffle mac with chicken added. Everything looked beautiful and good sized portions. For drinks we all decided on non-alcoholic drinks: mango and strawberry lemonade which my friend said they were both good but the mango was his favorite. Another friend had the mermaid mist and he enjoyed his as well. My sister had the violet hour and had a similar impression. I asked if they could do a non- alcoholic espresso martini and it was yummy but dang it cost $13. Haha We were all full, but I noticed a table ordered the giant sundae tower and it came out with a sparkling birthday candle. However, if it's your birthday they give you a complimentary cup of vanilla ice cream with fizzy cotton candy on top and sparkling birthday candle which was a super nice touch! Our server was very kind and patient and was willing to take pics of us and our food came out in a timely manner. A manager also came by to check on us and took more pics of us. Staff were very friendly and kind! The hostesses were very sweet and accommodating. I forgot to ask for seating with a view of the wave garden when I made reservations. When I asked after checking in she offered us a booth or high top seating. They have two floors and plenty of seating. They have an outdoor deck dining area on the first and second floor but that was closed due to construction. The first floor wraps around and there's even more seating indoors in the back area. They also have live music. I highly recommend making reservations. But it seemed to become extremely busy closer between 5-6pm on a Sunday. They do offer happy hour but it's only Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm with certain bites at $9 and certain cocktails $9. I recommend signing up for their rewards because you get $15 off when you receive a certain amount of points but you cannot use it on the same visit you sign up. This space is really chic and nicely decorated. The bar is a focal point and it was incredibly busy. They have a happy hour daily and I think this is why the bar was so busy. Happy hour is only at the bar, not tables. The service was attentive. My drink was good, although a little light on the alcohol. The food was fresh and tasty. The salad greens were especially fresh and good. Only draw back is this place can get a little pricey. read more

I came to this establishment a couple weeks ago before a concert. It is pretty much right up the street from the dome, definitely walking distance so it's super convenient if you're attending a concert there. I started not to go to this restaurant because it had just opened a week or two prior and most times I try to give restaurants time to get the kinks out, however I had a good experience. I did not have any reservations and it was a good amount of people there however my friend and I were able to sit at the bar and we were serviced fairly quickly. The restaurant is also not 100% open, so there was plenty more seating available for when they do decide to open completely. There was someone singing so I do believe that they have live music I'm just not sure how often but I'm sure they have a schedule posted somewhere. The food was amazing I didn't eat anything too heavy but they did have a pretty decent menu. Given the area that the restaurant is in of course please don't expect it's really cheap. The menu items are fairly pricey so just be prepared for that overall I will definitely be back. read more

Came in on opening night and had such a great first experience. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt warm and welcoming. We were greeted by the friendly staff and even treated to a complimentary glass of rosé to kick things off, which was such a nice touch. With live music playing and a lively crowd, the whole vibe instantly reminded me of home back on Long Island. More upscale, energetic, and the beach decor and LI towns painted on the walls!! Our waitress was phenomenal and made the experience even better with her recommendations. I ordered the Starlet Espresso Martini, made with vodka, coffee liqueur, cinnamon demerara, and cold brew, and it was everything I wanted! It was smooth, balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. My friend had the Mango Lychee Martini with vodka, lychee, mango, black tea, lemon, and basil, and it was light, refreshing, and packed with flavor. To start, we shared the Honey Glazed Brussels Sprouts and the Crab & Shrimp Bruschetta. Both were unreal. The Brussels were perfectly crispy and paired so well with the whipped goat cheese and warm chili honey, while the bruschetta was loaded with seafood and had the perfect crunch from the ciabatta. For dinner, I had the Creamy Spicy Vodka Pasta with shrimp, and it was absolutely incredible! So rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat. My friend ordered the Blackened Sea Bass with coconut rice, broccolini, mango salsa, and spicy mango purée, and it was just as impressive. We wanted dessert, but we were way too full. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were very friendly. I had oysters, a lobster sandwich, and chicken pasta, and everything was absolutely delicious. Katie, our server, was outstanding! She was very friendly, upbeat, and helpful!! The ambiance was casual and coastal, beautifully appointed in the style of the Hamptons, appropriately so! It was very nautical and relaxed. It had a nice bar area, high-top tables, standard tables, and cozy booths. They had lively music playing in the background and views of the Wave Garden! We ordered mocktails! I had the Violet Hour, the nonalcoholic espresso martini, the Mermaid Mist, and the Strawberry-Mango lemonade! We ordered truffle Mac and cheese with grilled chicken and one with crispy chicken, the Waygu burger with chips, and truffle lobster melt with tomato bisque. We also had the Crab and shrimp bruschetta appetizer and the truffle Parmesan fries. To finish it off, I had a birthday sundae sprinkled with cotton candy fizzies topped with a torch candle! We had such a great time and the food was so savory and rich, full of big flavor!! Katie took lots of photos of us! She made our dining experience top-notch!! My 3 friends and I went to dinner here on Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. The service was slow, which it was busy so that isn't at fault to the server. However, after our second round of drinks came out the server came over with another one of my friends drinks and said "I must have rang this in twice on accident but you can have it!". The bill comes, which she doesn't let us see the itemized receipt before running our card. We asked for the itemized receipt and she was hesitant, and said she'd "try to pull it up". She printed one out and gave it to us, and disappeared for over 10 minutes because the check she gave us was for a different table. She finally came back around and we let her know it wasn't ours and told her our check number. She pulled it up, once again printed it and disappeared. The drink she "accidentally rang in" and gave to us was on the bill. Also, I ordered a drink off the menu that was $16, and asked for an ingredient to be removed, but on the bill it was rang in for $18? I have an allergy, and don't feel I should be charged MORE for getting LESS. She also told us she only gets 6% of the service charge that is added, when the menu clearly states the 18% charge gets split amongst all FOH staff, insinuating she wanted a bigger or additional tip from us. To top it off, every other table that had a birthday had a dessert with a big sparkler on it, and we got a scoop of ice cream with one small candle that came out at basically the same time as our entrees. The ambiance of the place is great, food and drinks were good but slightly pricey. The prime rib dip my fiancée got was actually raw and chewy, which wasn't stated on the menu. But the sketchiness of the server made me question coming back! If we weren't being diligent, we would've spent $22 MORE than we should have. She was very nice, but going out to eat is a luxury and it's disappointing when people try to take advantage of customers, and that's exactly what it felt like. read more

Had dinner with my wife here tonight. She had been here before, it was my first time. The place is pretty nice. Our server Danae was very knowledgeable and really helpful. I had the Seafood Gnocchi and she had the Waygu smash burger and she said it was excellent. The Gnocchi was very tasty. If there was a complaint and it was a little one, it would be that the gnocchi was a little uneven. It didn't stop me from eating it all. The taste was excellent. It had the right amount of heat. Danae asked how the meal was and I explained about the gnocchi. She was very apologetic and said she would mention it to the chef. Again, I informed her that I still thought it was really good. She left to process our bill and the Service manager came back and told us that he had removed the cost of the gnocchi from our bill. His name is Danny and he too was very nice. I told him that wasn't necessary, especially since I ate the entire entree. This is a place I will return to often. The staff was excellent and food was delicious. First visit! Dinner for two! We had a wonderful experience! We walked in to a beautifully designed establishment from the neutral decorative ceiling tiles to the soft royal blue seating! Then we were blessed with the sweetest waitress, Destinee! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us to making some really delicious choices! We started with cocktails and chose the mango lychee martini and the spicy habanero margarita. Then moved to the crab and shrimp bruschetta for the appetizer and even though it was only 4 pieces, it was so worth it! Proportioning it to exactly what we didn't know we needed. Even though we were torn by all the wonderful choices, Destinee was our secret ingredient! She recommended the blackened seabass and lobster roll. We also added a side of mashed potatoes and the Mac n cheese bc we were extra hungry! My boyfriend and I split all! So good! The mango salsa and puree with my mango lychee martini was a perfect mix! The lobster roll had a hefty portion of lobster and we were both pleasantly full! Because of our wonderful experience we decided to bring the rest of the family and book a table for 15 this Saturday! I asked for a low top table and was denied because of the size of my party. Fair enough but the high chairs don't provide enough support for someone with poor circulation in their legs or back problems. We ordered the raw bar trio and the lobster roll manhattan style. The menu described the roll as warm and buttery and it was neither. It was flavorless and the bread it came in was greasy and overly garlicky. The potato chips were not noteworthy. The raw bar trio was "okay." The best part of the meal was the crab and shrimp bruschetta and the side of broccolini, both recommended by our server who was great. The lighting borders on too low, if you get seated near the bar, which is where all the two-party tables are you not be able to hear the other person without repeating yourself. Best suited for bigger parties of 4+ people so you get seated somewhere where there's light and you can hear the person in front of you. read more
