Bring cash for the valet parking. The gentleman was friendly and took great care of my vehicle. We were warmly greeted by the host and sat promptly. Leslie was our server and took amazing care of us. The main dining room had soft lighting and was beautifully decorated (Christmas decorations were a lovely touch). I had the welted Bibb salad, when I say I haven't tasted anything like it, I mean it. It was the most delicious salad I've ever had, light and refreshing. For my main course, I had the Yucatán Medley. It had mussels, clams, and shrimp soaked in a chili lime sauce. All the seafood was perfectly cooked and the sauce was phenomenal. It is a bit pricey. I would love to come back but my bank account will not allow it in this economy. With that being said, I would only recommend if you are very well off. I had an unforgettable experience.

Best food we've had in VA beach and we've hit some nice spots. The corn is amazing which I think comes with most entrees. We will definitely be coming back here next year. Service was awesome, our waiter was decisive in the help he gave with our decisions. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Vinet since we were traveling with family from Charlottesville. Beautiful spot!

Food: pretty high end food with nice seafood dishes like mussels, branzino, and seafood pasta. The mussels were cleaned nicely with no grit and had a nice flavorful broth. The branzino was also excellent with a delicious sauce and crispy skin. The seafood pasta on the other hand was as flavorful as an oil based sauce could be with fresh seafood, the only downside was that the olives in the dish were not pitted. The duck was expertly cooked as well, with the brown butter corn standing out as the highlight of the dish. Both desserts were also expertly executed and all around the meal was delicious. Service: valet was excellent and the service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Ambiance: felt like we were sitting at the nicest restaurant in VA Beach. Was honestly shocked this place existed and would go back for a nice occasion.

Very nice dinner with excellent food, service, and ambiance. Started the meal with nice selection of cocktails. Our table split a soft shell crab appetizer. For dinner I got the blackened mahi mahi that was very good. Others got grilled tuna, fried shrimp, and fried scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The acorn squash was very good. Nice selection of vegetables with the meal. Good wine selection.

Started with the grilled shrimp and the clam. For dinner we had the shrimp n grits, crab cakes and NY strip. All was good but the dinner service was slow as the place was super packed for Saturday dinner. The grilled shrimp was great but the clams were just ok.

I've probably driven past this restaurant 200 times and really had no idea it was here. It is much nicer and classier inside than it appears from the exterior and the road. My in-laws love it and have dined here a few times to rave reviews, so, for their 56th wedding anniversary I third-wheeled it to dinner there with them while my fiancee was out of town. We had a great dinner. We had a 7pm reservation and were quickly sat at a nice table in the corner with a comfy booth for my in-laws. Our server was very good - making recommendations and easily answering our menu questions. In the end, we chose several items so we could all share. We started with their house-made mozzarella salad with fresh basil and tomato swimming in olive oil and topped with fresh black pepper. We also got a house salad which I absolutely loved - it had sunflower seeds, bleu cheese, and a delicious light vinaigrette dressing on fresh greens. House bread and butter was warm and good - we asked for more. For entrees we chose: deviled crab cakes, fried oysters, and the salmon. All came with their veggie of the day - a large half of baked acorn squash with butter and brown sugar inside and a side of red potatoes. All were very good. The menu boasts soft-shell crab and many other fresh fish and fresh catch items as well as steaks and chicken to satisfy most anyone. We ended the meal with fresh-brewed coffee and a warm delicious walnut brownie a la mode with fresh warm fudge sauce. Very, very good. Parking is valet, they have a small outdoor patio with probably 8 tables or so outside and a small party room for private events. Decor inside is very classy and I actually loved the seating at the bar area as well. Will def. come back for a date night with my fiancee! Huge dessert menu (I took a photo) so I'll need to check that out too! Ha.

Loved. Loved. LOVE!!! This is probably my new favorite date night restaurant. We came in on a very busy Saturday evening. We had reservations for a party of 8 but when we got there our table wasn't ready yet and we still had to wait about 20mins for our table. Once our table was ready we got seated at a big table in the back. Our server got our drink orders of cocktails and 2 bottles of wine. We then ordered our apps and we got salad, mussels and a lot of others. Everything that came out was delicious. The mussels were really good. We then ordered the entrees and they had some specials too. I ordered one of the specials they had which was a whole fried branzino, pretty much all the entrees come with a baked squash with brown sugar it was sooo good. The fried fish was pretty big and was delicious. For dessert we all ordered something different. We got the carrot cake (my hubs fave) I'm not a huge fan of carrot cake because I don't like raisins but this carrot cake was really good. It was a huge slice and moist. Went perfect with my coffee. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Lots of tables, dim lighting for dinner and the music was on point, I had to ask what they play and it was actually a Spotify playlist. Our server was soooo awesome. He always checked up on us and he was super friendly. Made the whole experience and evening a awesome. When it was time to go the valet guy must have seen us coming because he already had all our vehicles pulled up and lined up ready to go. Talk about service! Can't believe we haven't been here before this. I can't wait to go back here again and we've been recommending this restaurant to all our friends.

Coastal Grill is the place to go for a nice dinner, away from the oceanfront for a special occasion or if your wallet is bigger than mine you can eat there more often. This was definitely a special treat. Simply decorated and beachy but not too much. Classy. White table clothes. Quiet. I went with a friend and we sat at the bar. They do have valet parking so bring cash. We had wonderful service from Ryan and Windsor. Very attentive and made great recommendations. We drank some wine and ate the delicious bread with homemade butter. We decided on the tuna bites and my friend got the pan fried trout and I got the mussels. One thing they told us is you can turn an entree into an appetizer and an appetizer into an entree. I love that!!!! Honestly I did not love the tuna bites. I found them bland and so was the sauce. My mussels were delicious, especially with the broth. The portion was HUGE! I think I got every mussel in the sea. My friends trout was absolutely amazing!!! There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu that I will have to go back. Definitely a 1st class experience.

The best duck entree I have ever eaten.

Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations from the start. Our reservation was at 5:45 PM, and after nearly two hours, we left at 7:30 PM without ever receiving our entrees, and some of our drinks never arrived either. What made matters more frustrating was the lack of communication. Our server came back 3 times to tell us they were out of ingredients for drinks we had ordered, but never offered alternatives or clarified what was available, leaving us stuck and repeatedly restarting the process. We were never checked on and he only came by to tell us our food wasn't ready or they couldn't make what we ordered. To make matters worse, several tables seated around us, many with larger parties were fully served, finished their meals, and left while we were still waiting. It was incredibly discouraging and made us feel completely overlooked. Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating, poorly managed, and not at all what we expected. We will not be returning.

I think this time was even better! We arrived around 230 on a Saturday, lucky for us happy hour started at 3 and we had a 30 minute wait for 6 people. Literally perfect timing because no one was waiting before us and about 10-20 minutes later the waiting area became packed for that 3 o clock happy hour. Side note: happy hour is from 3-7, 7 days a week! The service was phenomenal, the whole staff was so nice and accommodating. While we waited for our table, we were able to order a cocktail from one of the waitresses. We also had a baby with a stroller and they made sure we had plenty of room once we were seated at our table. The food was amazing, I'm a fan of cooked oyster but i decided to be a little spontaneous and try them raw. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and clean tasting these oysters were. It reminded me of eating sashimi. My wife and father in law had the lobster rolls, they both loved them! My son had the double cheeseburger from the happy hour menu, literally cannot beat this deal. $6 double cheeseburger with fries on the boardwalk is unimaginable lol. I had the Nashville hot chicken, which was good but maybe could've used a little more flavor. But the quality of the sandwich as a whole was spot on. I really don't have any complaints, this was the highlight of our day. My in laws live in Wisconsin but they travel a bunch and they said that these oysters were some of the best they had ever had. They would never see 1$ oysters where they live, so I'm glad we were able to come here and create this memory together. If you've ever debated whether taking the trip to the strip is worth it, it is! Definitely check this place out!

It happened to be Restaurant Week, which made us a little nervous, but it ended up being totally fine. The dining room never felt overly crowded, the noise level was comfortable, and having the Restaurant Week prix fixe, drink specials, and regular menu all available gave us plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. One small note: the plastic logo cups served with the water decanter felt a little out of place. They were a bit sharp on the lips and didn't quite match the rest of the dining experience. Minor detail, but noticeable. The drinks, however, were excellent. On our server's recommendation, my husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I had the Salted Caramel Martini. Both were seasonal specials and both were fantastic. When we asked about the scotch eggs, our server explained they're normally a brunch-only item. We were a little disappointed (and may have made a few pouty faces while explaining we'd come specifically for them for his birthday), but we quickly let it go, it obviously wasn't her fault. What we didn't realize was that she went back and told the kitchen manager that it was his birthday and that we'd made the trip just for those scotch eggs. Since the kitchen wasn't slammed, they decided to make them anyway and surprised us with an order. We were honestly floored. My husband was thrilled. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. And the scotch eggs were exactly what he'd been hoping for! They were crispy on the outside with a rich, savory center. For entrées, his Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy with the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. My Haystack Burger was stacked and delicious, though the BBQ sauce was strong enough to overshadow the pickled green tomato a bit. The fries were fantastic - crispy, battered, and perfect from first bite to last. Our server checked in at all the right times and kept drinks refilled without us needing to ask. The fact that she went out of her way to do something special during one of the busiest weeks on a restaurant's calendar says a lot about both her and the restaurant. Rustic Spoon is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual date night as it does for a birthday dinner or a night out with friends.

Most places turn you away and tell you to deal with Uber but as a reviewer I also love to review customer service. The manager took ownership of the issue and let me know I could pick up the pancakes. When I get there, he was waiting at the front door for me, had my food hot and ready, and added something a little extra for the mistake. My wife loves this place and I understand why. I trained bank associates on customer service and soft skills and if I could've recorded this interaction, it would've been the best training one could offer. Pictures of animals, stuffed birds and deer heads on the walls, Leather couch and chairs around a fireplace, and warm wood paneling and low lighting. Very comfortable. Our waitress was awesome in every respect. She asked the right questions, made great wine recommendations. Her timing was perfect, very quick and efficient, and very personable. She was wonderful. We started with sharing the four Reuben Egg Rolls with Russian dressing appetizer. Crispy flaky crust with delicious Reuben meat inside dipping into enjoyable Russian dressing. We ordered salads and our waitress asked small or large. Once she explained the difference, small Wedge for me and a small Pickled Beet Salad. Both were excellence. For comparison, the large salads are a meal unto themselves. My wife decided on the Wild Mushroom Risotto for her entrée. A very generous bowl of rice, wild mushrooms, and peas in a creamy garlic sauce. She loved it. My wife could only eat half of it; the rest came home in a doggy bag. I had the pan roasted venison loin. Dark and like the name, "hunt" decorated. When you enter there are overstuffed leather sofas in front of a fireplace. Tons of photos of animals as well as taxidermy animals. Everything relating to hunting. The place was rather loud with a few large parties. To the point that my guest and I couldn't even hear each other. Once they left, it was nice and quiet, unfortunately, we were about to leave as well. I was told it's best to make a reservation, so I did through open table but I don't think it was needed at the time of our off-peak visit (3.16.2026). Service was great. The waiter kept returning to see if we needed anything and how the food was. It was our first time trying the Oysters Rockefeller ($18 for 6) which is Half Shell Oysters stuffed with a creamy spinach and applewood smoked bacon which were good. At this time, I had nothing to compare them to, but 2 days later, I had them at The Atlantic on Pacific and those were SO MUCH BETTER! A lot cheaper too during happy hour. I had the Filet Mignon ($49) - Garlic and Herb whipped Potatoes, Roasted Broccolini, Tarnished Truth Steak Sauce and Sauteed Mushrooms (I'm allergic to Mushrooms so I had them on the side for my guest to enjoy them). Very good meal. The Tarnished Truth Steak Sauce is so yummy, I could drink it. Complimented the Filet Mignon and the potatoes so well. The broccolini was also delicious. For dessert I got the Smore's Brownie ($10). It was more like a chocolate cake with marshmallow, Caramel and Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream. It was not worth the money or the calories. Pretty tasteless. You need walnuts in a Brownie or it's just chocolate cake. I had gotten a Reuben sandwich ($18) to go and it was very fatty like bacon. Unfortunately, it was a waste of money because more than half of it went in the garbage due to it being so fatty. I felt the place was rather pricey and if you are just dining there, I do feel the valet parking should be free or reimbursed by the restaurant (i.e. take the charge off the bill). I think you can find some more reasonable places and better food nearby.

First, let me say the service was absolutely TOP TIER! The staff was attentive, friendly, and the overall atmosphere definitely gave that elevated dining experience. I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience as long as the food matches the experience. We started with the crab dip appetizer, and honestly it was solid. Definitely a good appetizer choice. For drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila sunset and substituted pineapple juice for orange juice a good drink! Now for the meals. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hate to even say this because I had such high hopes, but the lamb chops lacked seasoning for me. I ordered them medium, but they were definitely more medium rare. I love a medium rare ribeye, but not so much with lamb chops. The mashed potatoes and green beans were decent, but overall needed a little more flavor. My husband had the Butcher's Burger with wedges. He said it was a solid burger, slightly overcooked, but still good overall. He did enjoy the different flavor the pork belly added. My daughter ordered the Pasta Pescatore and said it was good, but not necessarily an "oh my goodness, I have to come back for this" type of dish. Overall, because so many people told me I would LOVE The Butcher's Son, I think my expectations were extremely high. The experience and service were excellent, but the food itself didn't completely wow me. It was good, just probably not my first choice for a return visit.

This is my husband's and I 3rd time visiting The Butchers Son, and as always we left pleased…read more We came in to celebrate our anniversary, first meal without one of our kiddos in ages. The atmosphere is nice, the food is spectacular, service this time was just ok but not something that would ruin our night. Our waiter was very absent for the most part, it did take a while for us to get our drinks and order; not much check backs for refills and such but overall he was a good server. The food is always amazing, I've never had a negative experience for their food. And the location is nice. The establishment is clean, more on the higher end, we came in dressed to impress for our date but you had a mix of how people were dressed. Down to just your everyday wear. 10/10 recommend

We loved the food at Repeal Bourbons and Burgers !…read more We started off with drinks which were yummy and delicious. I had the Plymouth Rock because I love Gin and it was refreshingly sweet. My husband had the Margarita on the Rocks which I was not a fan of. I did not like the mix they used to make thins drink. My son also tasted it and agreed with my opinion. The lettuce wraps were really good. My daughter in law and I both had the CALIFORNICATION burger, my husband had the CLASSIC burger, my son had the CAPONE Burger and everyone was really happy! All burgers were properly cooked and delicious. The fries were good, nothing special to write about. My husband had the fries with bacon dust and they were very sweet. He wasn't a fan but I thought they were delicious!

Sat in a booth inside since it was a little warm outside. Bomb MI was good. It had black garlic sesame aioli, kimchi, pork belly, sunny side egg, cucumber on a sesame seed bun. The Southside was alright. It is bombay gin, St. Germaine, Jack Rudy small-batch tonic, and soda. Would have given this place a 4/5 if not for the crappy service. The rude guy working the bar was neither friendly or pleasant. There were no napkins when food was served. I stood up and politely asked for some. I found some below the register and, since the guy was busy prepping drinks, I decided to get them myself. He then said, "okay do my job," which was unnecessary and rude. Though the other waiter was friendlier, service was overall bad.
