Coastal Grill is an excellent option for those looking for an elevated dining experience. Our waiter was fabulous- very personable, attentive, humorous and helpful. I had two drinks- the white margarita (pictured) and an orange lotus (not on the menu, but you can ask for it). The drinks were very strong, if you aren't into that you may want to stay away. There is a large selection of wine to choose from. The wedge salad was delicious, and my main course was excellent. The butter squash is rich with butter and sugar- yum! I will be back. Thank you!

The bar is the best place to dine - if you're alone - you'll feel part of a party

Bring cash for the valet parking. The gentleman was friendly and took great care of my vehicle. We were warmly greeted by the host and sat promptly. Leslie was our server and took amazing care of us. The main dining room had soft lighting and was beautifully decorated (Christmas decorations were a lovely touch). I had the welted Bibb salad, when I say I haven't tasted anything like it, I mean it. It was the most delicious salad I've ever had, light and refreshing. For my main course, I had the Yucatán Medley. It had mussels, clams, and shrimp soaked in a chili lime sauce. All the seafood was perfectly cooked and the sauce was phenomenal. It is a bit pricey. I would love to come back but my bank account will not allow it in this economy. With that being said, I would only recommend if you are very well off. I had an unforgettable experience.

Best food we've had in VA beach and we've hit some nice spots. The corn is amazing which I think comes with most entrees. We will definitely be coming back here next year. Service was awesome, our waiter was decisive in the help he gave with our decisions. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Vinet since we were traveling with family from Charlottesville. Beautiful spot!

Very nice dinner with excellent food, service, and ambiance. Started the meal with nice selection of cocktails. Our table split a soft shell crab appetizer. For dinner I got the blackened mahi mahi that was very good. Others got grilled tuna, fried shrimp, and fried scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The acorn squash was very good. Nice selection of vegetables with the meal. Good wine selection.

Food: pretty high end food with nice seafood dishes like mussels, branzino, and seafood pasta. The mussels were cleaned nicely with no grit and had a nice flavorful broth. The branzino was also excellent with a delicious sauce and crispy skin. The seafood pasta on the other hand was as flavorful as an oil based sauce could be with fresh seafood, the only downside was that the olives in the dish were not pitted. The duck was expertly cooked as well, with the brown butter corn standing out as the highlight of the dish. Both desserts were also expertly executed and all around the meal was delicious. Service: valet was excellent and the service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Ambiance: felt like we were sitting at the nicest restaurant in VA Beach. Was honestly shocked this place existed and would go back for a nice occasion.

Started with the grilled shrimp and the clam. For dinner we had the shrimp n grits, crab cakes and NY strip. All was good but the dinner service was slow as the place was super packed for Saturday dinner. The grilled shrimp was great but the clams were just ok.

I've probably driven past this restaurant 200 times and really had no idea it was here. It is much nicer and classier inside than it appears from the exterior and the road. My in-laws love it and have dined here a few times to rave reviews, so, for their 56th wedding anniversary I third-wheeled it to dinner there with them while my fiancee was out of town. We had a great dinner. We had a 7pm reservation and were quickly sat at a nice table in the corner with a comfy booth for my in-laws. Our server was very good - making recommendations and easily answering our menu questions. In the end, we chose several items so we could all share. We started with their house-made mozzarella salad with fresh basil and tomato swimming in olive oil and topped with fresh black pepper. We also got a house salad which I absolutely loved - it had sunflower seeds, bleu cheese, and a delicious light vinaigrette dressing on fresh greens. House bread and butter was warm and good - we asked for more. For entrees we chose: deviled crab cakes, fried oysters, and the salmon. All came with their veggie of the day - a large half of baked acorn squash with butter and brown sugar inside and a side of red potatoes. All were very good. The menu boasts soft-shell crab and many other fresh fish and fresh catch items as well as steaks and chicken to satisfy most anyone. We ended the meal with fresh-brewed coffee and a warm delicious walnut brownie a la mode with fresh warm fudge sauce. Very, very good. Parking is valet, they have a small outdoor patio with probably 8 tables or so outside and a small party room for private events. Decor inside is very classy and I actually loved the seating at the bar area as well. Will def. come back for a date night with my fiancee! Huge dessert menu (I took a photo) so I'll need to check that out too! Ha.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Porch on long creek. First off, there's a few…read moredifferent places you can sit at this restaurant. They have an indoor dining area that is more like intimate and has a cozy feel. They have an outside area that you can eat at and have a great view of the waterfront. And of course they have the "Porch" area which gives that outdoor vibe but you're still inside of a fenced in area. My friend and I ate in the dining room area since it wasn't a wait. We ordered drinks, two crushes which were amazing and refreshing. It definitely gave island vibes. We started off with the crab dip which was incredible and flavorful. The bread with the dip was A1. I could eat the bread alone. Now for the actual dishes. She ordered the crab cake sandwich, she really enjoyed it. Not much filler at all. I ordered a variety. So I had the Cali Virginia Roll which was amazing!! I wish I would have ordered two orders. It was just more on the pricey side. I also had the fried shrimp which were HUGE. I didn't even finish it all. I cannot wait to come back and try everything again.

You would never suspect the great atmosphere of this venue from the location. But the charm of the place really isn't the story. This is the kind of place that offers a gastro pub menu and they do not disappoint with a familiar yet unique menu offering some truly great dishes and perhaps the best burgers in VB. Definitely coming back.

Our first table ended up being under a spotlight that was directly in our line of sight (it looked like it was meant for the specials board), so we asked to move. Staff was accommodating and got us to a better table quickly. The space itself is really nice. It was clean, rustically decorated, and the live plants in liquor bottles on the tables are a nice touch. Our server was friendly from the start and took drink orders right away. My daughter and I had sodas, and my husband ordered the Southern Charm Old Fashioned off the specials menu, which he enjoyed. The menu is on the smaller side, which we actually like. One unique detail was the option to "buy a round for the kitchen," which we thought was a really nice touch and decided to add it when we ordered our appetizer. We started with the fried deviled eggs after a friend recommended them. They were creative with three styles (classic with pickle, togarashi ginger, and crispy prosciutto), but overall a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as we expected. We asked for Dijon, but they don't have it. Our server suggested and brought out the Baja dipping sauce instead, which did pair well and kind of improved them. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. He said the fish was flaky and well cooked. I ordered the Union grilled cheese, which unfortunately seemed like it had been sitting a bit before being served, as the bottom was soggy. It was just okay overall and not particularly memorable for the price. The sweet potato fries on the side were the clear standout. They were crispy, the perfect balance of sweet and salty and honestly the best part of the dish. Our daughter had the kid's smashburger. It was exactly that. Service throughout the meal was good. She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and there when needed. The main disappointment came at the end. When our meals were served, the server actually offered sauces at the table (ketchup, mayo, ranch, etc.), and specifically suggested items like the baja sauce for the eggs and ranch to us. Because of that, we were surprised to see several charges for the sauces on the bill, especially since they were offered and recommended at the table with no mention of any additional cost. We were also charged a credit card fee, with no signage anywhere (entrance, hostess stand, or menu) indicating that paying with a card would include an extra charge. It just left an unnecessary sour note on an otherwise solid, casual meal. Nothing was bad, and nothing really stood out as exceptional, but the lack of transparency around those final charges really impacted the overall experience for us.

One piece of advice: arrive a little before Happy Hour begins at 3:00 p.m. If you wait until then, you'll likely find yourself several people deep in line. Don't let that discourage you. Embrace it, because once you're seated you'll quickly discover that the wait was well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices--especially during Happy Hour--are outstanding. The Atlantic specializes in oysters, and their Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m., including weekends. We began with a Chopped Caesar Salad ($9). Every ingredient was crisp, fresh, and flavorful--a simple dish executed exactly as it should be. Next came the oysters: a dozen Rockefeller and a dozen Pacific. The Rockefeller oysters were everything you would expect from this classic preparation--rich, savory, and baked beautifully. The Pacific oysters, however, completely stole the show. Each oyster was topped with a delicious combination of chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and seasonings before being baked to perfection. They were bold, flavorful, and easily my favorite item of the afternoon. I also ordered the Double Stack Cheeseburger ($7), and what a terrific value. The burger arrived piping hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by a generous serving of crispy fries. It's hard to imagine finding a better burger at that price anywhere along the Oceanfront. My wife ordered the pork, shrimp, and kimchi dumplings served with a chili crunch and ponzu sauce that tied the entire dish together beautifully. She jokingly threatened to drink the remaining sauce after finishing the dumplings (she didn't), but she did convince me to dip one of my fries into it. She was absolutely right--it was fantastic. In fact, I now regret turning down the dumpling she generously offered me. Part of the fun of dining here is watching Shuck-Master Slim work. He's not only remarkably skilled but entertaining as well, adding a little personality to an already enjoyable experience. From the fresh seafood to the outstanding value and friendly atmosphere, this was another memorable visit to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you haven't been to The Atlantic on Pacific, I highly recommend adding it to your list. You'll be glad you did, and you can rest assured that you're helping support one of our outstanding local restaurants.

I ordered the Black and Blue burger with sweet potatoes waffle fried, and my son ordered a bacon cheeseburger with regular fries. I got my burger with a little pink, and it was cooked to perfection! Sometimes I am hesitant to get pink because it's been to raw. The burger was not only cooked to perfection, I really loved the bleu cheese sauce and grilled onions. The waffle fries with the cinnamon/brown sugar sauce were great as well. My son also really enjoyed his burger, but he did say his fries tasted like shrimp. First, let me say the service was absolutely TOP TIER! The staff was attentive, friendly, and the overall atmosphere definitely gave that elevated dining experience. I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience as long as the food matches the experience. We started with the crab dip appetizer, and honestly it was solid. Definitely a good appetizer choice. For drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila sunset and substituted pineapple juice for orange juice a good drink! Now for the meals. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hate to even say this because I had such high hopes, but the lamb chops lacked seasoning for me. I ordered them medium, but they were definitely more medium rare. I love a medium rare ribeye, but not so much with lamb chops. The mashed potatoes and green beans were decent, but overall needed a little more flavor. My husband had the Butcher's Burger with wedges. He said it was a solid burger, slightly overcooked, but still good overall. He did enjoy the different flavor the pork belly added.
