Boy, were we pleasantly surprised when she came over! Not only was Suze super-professional, but she 1) treated us as valued customers from the start, and 2) she treated her business like a business - GO FIGURE! Licensed, bonded, & insured, Suze was the real deal when it came down to the brass tacks of her business. Not only did she maintain a legitimate business presence, but she also carried herself in a professional manner, and had all the documentation that you would expect from a professional. She asked the right questions, took notes, and walked the property with us, in order to cover ALL the bases, in the event of an, "Uh oh" moment. Beyond getting us to wag our tails, our dogs were instantly drawn to Suze's calmness & demeanor. Our pets - whom are family, to us - were happy and relaxed in Suze's presence, which made us feel supremely confident in her abilities to manage our home & hearth while we were away. During our absence, we would receive texts / photos periodically - and Suze never hesitated to contact us with a question / concern, whether about the property, or the dogs. To schedule an appointment with Ruff INN It, you must first make an account online, which is easy to do. This account allows you to upload your dog's vaccination records and also select a date and time for when your dog needs boarding. Soon after I created this and made a request of our preferred date, an employee called me to confirm the date and asked that since we were new clients, to schedule a meet and greet, which is their policy as they want to ensure that all dogs here are well-behaved and aren't socially aggressive with others. As soon as we came into town, we visited Ruff INN It for our meet and greet where the owner took our dog to the back area to introduce her to the other dogs and see how she reacted. He then invited us to come to the back of the area and see the facility. The facility is split into three different dog groups, depending on size and activity level. Our little dog was grouped with the other small dogs. For all the areas, there's an indoor area where they can sleep in one of the many beds and get water and they all have access to the fenced backyard area with artificial turf where they can play with the toys and balls, run around and go to the bathroom. Tons of space for the babies to play in! We dropped our little girl off at her scheduled appointment and the staff let us know that they would take photos of the dogs and post it on their Facebook for owners to see. When we came to pick her up, the staff let us know how much fun she had with other dogs, playing around. The owners of Ruff INN It are the sweetest people, too. They've also been very helpful in testing out suites vs. regular kennel (and they offered to try out the regular kennel (cheaper option) when I originally requested the suite). The staff also remember his allergies when I check in and reconfirm what they can/cant give him without my prompting. He also refuses to eat often, and he has had no problems eating there after a little coaxing with treats the first time he stayed. I feel like they actually take some time to get to know the dogs and enjoy taking care of animals. We will always be going to bnb even if it's a 30 minute drive away.

When Bella arrives she is shown to her own unit where she has both indoor and outdoor space. She can sit on her patio (enclosed) and enjoy watching birds or just resting in the fresh air. She has a shelf off the floor inside and out as well as her bed and can be observed through wire mesh inside and out. It is clean with no odors, the cats appear calm and we know they are well cared for. This has been Bella's "vacation" place for many years. Thank you for the peace of mind your care brings us.

My experience with Paws to Play has been terrible. I originally called to schedule and find out the…read morerequirements for my 1yr old lab/retriever mix to come occasionally for daycare when I am in town for work. She loves the dog park and any chance she gets to play with other dogs, so we felt daycare would be a great option for her during long work days. Paws to Play told me to schedule my dog for a fecal test and then to let them know when I did that and they would get me scheduled for the daycare introduction. I was also told often times, they are able to schedule intros "day of." The next day I submitted a sample for my dogs fecal test and then called Paws to Play back to set up an intro date. I then was told they wouldn't schedule the intro until they received my dogs results. So already, they contradicted them selves. Once I sent over her fecal test results, I called again to schedule the intro. My call was not returned, and instead I was sent an email from Ame giving me no options but one intro date and time on a Tuesday, which also happened to be over a week from the date I submitted the test results. I told her I was not able to do that date and she gave me a Friday date instead (almost 2 weeks from when I submitted the results). I agreed for that appointment and asked for them to please let me know if there were any cancellations earlier and I would try to make it work. She advised me there would not be any cancellations and she would keep me on the Friday appointment. I'm not sure how Ame could have told the future, but I agreed. A few days before our intro appointment I was schedule for a work meetingfrom 9-10am. Our intro was schedule for 9:30am. I called asking if it were possible to adjust our appointment to 10am, and specifically asked for a call back. Again, I was not called back and received another email from Ame stating that was not possible and that they would just need to cancel the appointment all together. I responded saying I would arrange for a family member to bring my dog at 9:30 and I would be picking her up after. The day of the intro came and my mother took my dog to the appointment. My dog is afraid of the vet after her spay surgeries, and upon arriving at the daycare she obviously assumed she was going to the "vet." She slipped out of her leash and ran to the car. Paws to Play then informed my mother they would not be able to take my dog for an intro because she "had too much anxiety." My mother informed them that once my dog went inside and realized she was at daycare with other dogs, and this was not the vet, she would be perfectly okay. Paws to Play again said no and continued by telling my mother how anxious my dog was and how it would take "45 minutes to calm her down" should she be allowed to come inside. They stated I would need to schedule some "meet and greets" which would include my dog sitting in the lobby for 10 mins multiple times while someone comes out and pets her and gives her treats. They told my mother they would give me a call. Later that day I again did NOT receive a call, and instead Ame emailed me to tell me they had issues with my dog, she was "under too much stress," and I would need to schedule the meet and greets. I declined. Overall, every single interaction I have had with Paws to Play was ridiculous. It's also extremely unprofessional that I couldn't even get a call back any of the times I reached out a left a message, and instead they chose to email me, despite specifically asking for call backs. What poor business etiquette. You would think individuals who work with dogs daily would be skilled enough to recognize dogs have fears just as humans do, and would allow for a dog to come into their appointment for the opportunity to see daycare is not the vet. And lastly, please don't tell people scheduling is likely to happen "same day" if you are going to schedule them weeks out, and then be so readily willing to cancel their appointment all together when they request a time adjustment.

I spent a week in a dog training seminar at 4 Paws. There were pros and cons to the facility…read more Pros: -This is a big space and depending on what type of needs you have, you could have 4 big rings or 6 small rings. -The people who manage the space, when I saw them, were friendly. -The bathrooms were clean. - There was bottled drinking water available. - There was a classroom area, we didn't use it, but it's great that it is available. - there is a huge outdoor area, nicely grassed for walking and playing with your dog on breaks. - well appointed with tons of dog equipment. Cons: - I'm probably going to say this one several times. The floors have a black mat overlay, which is better to walk on than concrete. BUT, I had to wash my white dogs EVERY DAY. Their paws, legs, skirting, and faces were dark grey. - The black flooring turned my pants black wherever it touched. - The dogs are breathing that black material as well as ingesting it when there is a treat that touches the ground. - One dog in my course left with Bronchitis. - we were wearing masks and still had black residue in our noses. Onward from how much I hated the flooring material. - I spent a shit ton of money for a 7 day training. During most of it there was banging and drilling and all sorts of noise because the facility didn't plan around the training, but rater opted to have maintenance or whatever done, during operating hours and during a time they had rented out the space. At times it was almost impossible to hear above the racket. - I felt this decision was incredibly disrespectful to our trainer and to those of us there for the training. I drove in for the training, as mentioned, paid a fair amount, and what I discovered is that I will never come back to this facility for another training, as the pros do not exceed the cons.
