I've boarded my dog 3x in the last 2 months (2 one night stays and 1 full week). The most important thing is that my dog seems to enjoy his stay! He's never excitedly run inside a place I've boarded him before. They've also been very helpful in testing out suites vs. regular kennel (and they offered to try out the regular kennel (cheaper option) when I originally requested the suite). The staff also remember his allergies when I check in and reconfirm what they can/cant give him without my prompting. He also refuses to eat often, and he has had no problems eating there after a little coaxing with treats the first time he stayed. I feel like they actually take some time to get to know the dogs and enjoy taking care of animals. We will always be going to bnb even if it's a 30 minute drive away. read more

They have my daughter's dog. My daughter passed away in November 20 23. She was 16 years old. That's her in the picture with her dog. We've had a pest issue going on for almost a year now we've had six different pest companies come out been told multiple different things. I'm so frustrated and fed up That I had to get my daughter's dog out of the house because I felt like she's suffering because what's going on in here I'm trying to handle everything on my own. I was hurt on a job in 21 so this is all just a lot for me to handle Kind people have stepped into help out and they've been a godsend. We boarded our two dogs and one cat here for 6 days and they did great! My cat is extremely skittish but when we picked her up she was very relaxed and happy which is unusual for her. It made my heart happy to know that they were kind and loving to our furry girls, they can be a handful especially our red bone hound. We trusted BnB Pet Retreat with our dog who has never been boarded. Although we were anxious about how it would go, we thankfully had an overall pleasant experience. They were fairly communicative and answered all our questions. When our flight home was canceled due to weather, (causing us to miss our pickup time) they were very understanding and worked with us. Will use again, I felt that they took time to know my situation (my dog had never been kenneled before) and eased my worry. One thing that stood out was they instructed me to allow my dog leave me vs me leaving my dog. I also like that they don't just let all the dogs out at once because you just never know another dogs temperament and they don't want to risk accidents. This facility is VERY clean! We always use BnB pet retreat for our extremely rambunctious pit bull, each time for at least a week, and they have been so great every time! Michelle and her family are wonderful and friendly and they truly care for your animals. We had never left our dog before and we were so nervous the first time but they made everything so easy and Ruby loves it there. She gets so excited to go in when we get there and she's completely comfortable there. We couldn't ask for better people to leave our baby girl with! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are clean, fairly priced, honest, friendly and trustworthy people. My 5 dogs range from a Dachsund to Sharpei. 4 of mine have special needs requiring medication and additional monitoring. We've used BNB throughout the year. All 5 of my dogs love this place. My dogs are happy and excited to go, and when I pick them up they are well cared for. Michelle and Sybren are wonderful to work with. The facility is very clean too. We took our 6 month and 3 month puppies here over the week-end for their first overnight experience. Prior to leaving them, I asked for a look at the behind-the-scenes facilities, which was graciously allowed. The place is SPOTLESS, which is very difficult to do - even for me at home with only 2 dogs. The kennels have both inside and outside areas, and there is also a separate fenced and grassed play space. When I picked them up they were happy and well fed. We will definitely use the BnB for future boarding. read more

It's very hard to review a place where you are actually only there for about 15-30 minutes during drop off and pick up... So far I've left my dog here twice and it's been an OK experience. The first time I left her for just a weekend as a trial. I brought her in and Mellissa gave a very quick tour of the facility and description of what they provided. She was polite but curt. I left them with baggies of measured food, a bed, a toy and a baggy full of treats. I asked that they give her the toy while she was there and to give her treats whenever they let her out into the exercise area. I picked her up Sunday and the baggy full of treats was completely full still, the toy was still in one piece and her bed was shredded to bits. To me, this indicates that they didn't give her the toy or treats at all and she was left in her kennel/cage for the whole time. She's a "bored chewer" so the fact that she destroyed her bed indicates that she wasn't let out to exercise as they said they do. She had had the bed for months in her kennel at home when I leave her 8 hours a day for work and she never chewed or destroyed it. That's the point of the toys. So a $50 bed destroyed. I left her a second time over christmas and again the drop off process was quick, polite but curt. This time I didn't bring a bed, I specifically asked that they just give her the toy to destroy and I had put chews in with her evening meals. Sunday I called around noon because it was snowing and asked about early pick up, which Mellissa very nicely allowed me to do (with a $25 charge, as per the boarding contract). I picked up my dog and she had in fact destroyed her toy. She was VERY hyper that evening, again I think this indicates that they aren't being let out into the "play area" as described on the B-n-B website. I was told they had 60 dogs over the week. In general, my dog came back alive, fed and clean, so those are all positives. But I think that the number of dogs they care for are perhaps a bit too many for them to be given proper attention, interaction and play time. Will I use them again? Yes. Will I go out of my way to recommend them to other people? No. read more

I had my dog stayed here for a week and my dog had diarrhea the night I picked him up. I tried to call in and find out how it happens later, my call had never been answered since then. Tried at least ten times at different time of the day in the month, never have a person answering the phone. Even went back to the location during their normal business hour several times, no one came out and the main lobby door was locked. read more

My dog seems to enjoy the stay. I use them 3-4 times a year now, since the place was suggested to me. She jumps out of the car and goes right to the door when we arrive. I have not had any problems with the care and the exercise she receives. Melissa and the kids are always pleasant and attentive when receiving or picking up my dog. The pricing is very fair and based on 24 hours, not half days compared to where I kenneled her before. They follow the directions on the feeding of her, I always provide a little extra for a snack or in case I stay away longer. I always receive food back when I pick her up. She had diarrha once which was my fault for feeding her a new treat that was not good for her. I told them about it when arriving. When I picked her up it was over. The place is probably better for people that have dog dogs and not projected little humans or a child dogs. I am sure they take good care of those also, they love animals. They have a large Kennel and I would rather mine not be subjected to yappy and barking dogs all day long like I have seen and heard at the other place I used to go to. They let you bring your dogs bed from home to use while they stay and also keep track of the toys, even if mine are old socks with a knot in it. One stay during the winter, it was rainy and wet the whole time. They were nice enough to wash her bed for me since she got it wet and dirty from her being outside. My dogs stays are usually 3-6 days and I have had a good experience using BnB. read more

My dog is a small, spoiled, house dog with high energy and very attached to our family. When I take him to BnB Pet Retreat he is treated well, comes home happy and I can tell he was kept in a clean space (they also offer a "go home" bath ")). The family that runs it is truly interested in running a quality pet retreat as evidenced by all of the improvements, cleaning and investment they have put into the business. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! I picked my dog up from BnB Kennels at 6pm. He'd only been there for a weekend. When they brought him to me he was covered in poop. I had to take him home that way. Then at home he had diarrhea several times (inside the house and outside) before we went to sleep at midnight. I am now awake at 4 am cleaning vomit and diarrhea off my bedroom and bathroom carpets. My dog is already dehydrated and very, very sick. He only weighs 15 lbs so this much vomiting and diarrhea is a lot for him. I noticed that his food container was completely empty. Instructions for feeding were written clearly on the container yet obviously not read. Common sense would've suggested a dog boarding place would know how much NOT to feed a dog his size! He only eats 3/4 cup a day and I'm sure there was 5-7 cups of food in the container. I am hoping he's sick from over feeding but worried it's much more than that! read more

We love B-N-B! We've been going there since Mellissa reopened the kennel a few years ago.We have 3 dogs, 2 are English bulldogs which require a little extra attention and they are treated like family when visiting. Best kennel in the tri-cities if you ask me. read more

We leave our dog here every time we are out of town. He gets excited when we ask if he wants to go see Melissa. It's a family owned operation and if the owner's kids are around when I pick him up they're always wanting to play with and say bye to him. He loves kids so I'm glad he gets to play with them. He's always tired when we bring him home, so I'm guessing he gets the exercise as per the contract. Prices just went up, but is still cheaper than some of the other boarders in town. He does sometimes get diarrhea after being kenneled but I'm not sure it's anything or just anxiety from being away from home. The only other thing is that it's kind of far out. I will continue boarding here when we can't take our dog with us on trips. read more

I was told that I would pay for my dogs boarding when I picked him up! But the owner, Melissa, panicked at 3 weeks and I went in and paid in full up to that point for his stay! It was made perfectly clear that I was forced to move out of my home because of electrical issues & I'm now homeless trying to find another place to live with my child and I would pick up my dog as soon as I found a home! Is it not your business to board dog? Do you not make money to do so? You have done nothing but treated me terribly during an already trying time! As for his food, I was told the food was included in the cost, but I brought his food anyway! And yes I'm sure he's out, but we've also suffered a tragic death in the family! There are things going on & I shouldn't have to worry about his care, fighting with the owner, and or being treated like crap & threatened by the owner! I've never had such a bad experience with a business in my life!!!! read more

We left our beloved dog here for 2 weeks. The whole time that she was there I never received a phone call or text to tell me that she was ok. I texted them and all that they could reply was that she was fine. I left treats and her bed with her to use. They never gave her the bed to use as it was sitting in the lobby the whole time that we left her there. What hurts me the most is that our dog came down with a severe UTI just a matter of weeks after our return. She was urinating blood and was completely lethargic. She died a few weeks afterwards, even with the treatment of antibiotics. People warned me about leaving your dog in a kennel but unfortunately we had to leave her to take care of family matters back home. I will never recommend this place to anyone. While, I have no idea if B-N-B is to blame for unsanitary conditions leading to the result of the UTI. I do know that our beloved dog was in perfect health when we left her here and she passed away just a matter of weeks after our return. :-( read more
