I'm so glad we found Ruff INN It! We had plans to be in the tri-cities area and on one day, we were scheduled to go on a tour that did not allow dogs, so needed to find a dog sitter/boarding in the area and found glowing reviews of Ruff INN It. To schedule an appointment with Ruff INN It, you must first make an account online, which is easy to do. This account allows you to upload your dog's vaccination records and also select a date and time for when your dog needs boarding. Soon after I created this and made a request of our preferred date, an employee called me to confirm the date and asked that since we were new clients, to schedule a meet and greet, which is their policy as they want to ensure that all dogs here are well-behaved and aren't socially aggressive with others. As soon as we came into town, we visited Ruff INN It for our meet and greet where the owner took our dog to the back area to introduce her to the other dogs and see how she reacted. He then invited us to come to the back of the area and see the facility. The facility is split into three different dog groups, depending on size and activity level. Our little dog was grouped with the other small dogs. For all the areas, there's an indoor area where they can sleep in one of the many beds and get water and they all have access to the fenced backyard area with artificial turf where they can play with the toys and balls, run around and go to the bathroom. Tons of space for the babies to play in! We dropped our little girl off at her scheduled appointment and the staff let us know that they would take photos of the dogs and post it on their Facebook for owners to see. When we came to pick her up, the staff let us know how much fun she had with other dogs, playing around. The owners of Ruff INN It are the sweetest people, too. Walked in and surprised the groomer by being "early" (by less than 10 minutes) to my scheduled meet and greet. This meet and greet was scheduled by the owner who wouldn't communicate thru email that they do not board or day care unaltered pets- which i asked about in the emails *prior* to the M&G being scheduled by said owner... The "groomer" was screaming, agitated and aggressively, at the the dog he had on the grooming table when I walked in.. The owner was called down for the meet and greet, they put a slip lead on my 80lb Dane mix, the groomer took my dog to the back kennel room and the owner shut the door in my face to take my dog for the meet and greet- without me or me being able to see into the kennel room. Within seconds I heard my dog yelping from behind the closed door.! They did not tell me what happened or why he was yelping but did tell me they "couldn't have him for day care due to marking territory and humping"- my dog has never humped in his more than 25 visits of going to the dog park and has only ever "marked" anything uncleaned on any inside areas (I've had this dog since he was 7weeks, he doesn't pee inside unless another dog has peed and it hasn't been cleaned up properly). The kennel area has no beds, blankets or toys, just cages and concrete flooring. My dog, who is a dogs dog and loves to play with his paws (I'm assuming his pawing is what they considered as him trying to hump?) was beyond ready to leave within 5 minutes of his meet and greet after they opened the door to let me see the kennel room. My puppy did *not* want to say goodbye to the groomer who had been the one holding the slip lead (who was the one screaming at the dog he was grooming when i walked in). I absolutely would not trust my pet in the care of "Ruff INN it". read more

I needed a safe place to leave my little guy when I first moved to the Tri-Cities, and I felt very fortunate to find Ruff INN It. It felt like an oasis in the desert as I drove down the tree-lined driveway with the large grassy lawns on either side. Around back, the fenced yard was filled with the happy sound of dogs playing. My little guy is quite social and immediately joined the fray without a backwards glance or "Bye, Mommy!". Greg seems to know the names and personalities of each of his guests and watches them closely, separating them as need be. He follows whatever feeding instructions you leave him. Although my little guy is only 5 pounds, I like that he is allowed to associate safely with the calmer, larger dogs. In fact, his best bud was apparently a large chocolate lab -- they followed each other on the play ground and napped cuddled together. For rougher play, he chose the smaller dogs. He always comes home happy and well-exercised. Ruff INN It is safe, well-maintained, fun for the dogs and reasonably priced. I have used it several times now and can't see myself ever going anywhere else. read more

Just took my 5 1/2 month old labradoodle to Greg at Ruff Cuts for her first grooming. Greg did an awesome job with my bouncy and scared pup. He will now officially be my 'go-to' doggy groomer. I stayed and watched and chatted with him - peppering him with questions. So calm....he whispered and talked softly to my pup.....she calmed down and he got the job done.
