We have been using Double Arrow for our dogs since we moved to the area in 2020. They have done well with our dogs and the staff is friendly. We brought in a rescue pup with an infection and to be spayed. All was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable price. Very happy with our new vet clinic!! read more

Not sure where my previous review went. Moved from another vet to this one. I will give credit where credit is due. Dr. Walker was fantastic, understanding, and took the time to explain everything we needed. Felt they were also reasonable priced. All they needed to do was call in the prescription that Friday. My pet was going to run out of his nerve pain meds. Went to pick up prescription Saturday and was told prescription was not called in. He had no meds for Sunday and Monday morning. Had to telework in the morning instead of going into the office. Got some from the vet for a few days. Inconvenient for me but super sad for my fur baby. Also plan on 2 week wait if your baby needs to get on for an ear infection. read more

We brought our dog in with a large hemotoma in her ear, I have had other dogs with these over the many years of having dogs and I have to say it was a botched job......looks like a butcher did her ear and it still left a bubble in her ear. When we brought her back 10 days later for the stitches to come out we couldn't even go in or talk to the doctor, we only got to talk with the techs. We paid good money to get it done right and yet today we have her in at another vet to fix the horrible job they did. We will never go back to this vet or ever recommend them. Thankful for the quick response on a emergency farm call this past Saturday (1/24/2021) I had a 6 month old colt who was found down with horrible colic. I called a few different vets as I needed help NOW and after speaking to the answering service for Double Arrow...I immediately recieved a call back from the Doctor.... And, just 30 minutes later he arrived. He was very kind, excellent bed side manors... And helped us to make the hard choice to put my beautiful baby down. It was the best thing for him unfortunately. I am very Thankful for this Doctor and his clinic. It was a very hard day...but the compassion he showed me, my colt and those there to help me... really made it a lot easier! read more

This clinic is reasonably priced and the vets are wonderful. I moved my dog here after another vet place refused to give my dog antibiotics and pain meds until I agreed to pay thousands to have 11 teeth removed. DA only had to remove 5 and they didn't hold his medicine hostage. I've been going to them ever since and will continue to go to them until hell freezes over. This is by far the best vet I've ever gone to. Dr. Weekes and Dr. Walker are super! My 14 year old dog was suffering with kidney failure and Dr. Weekes suggested we try some chinese herbal remedies. That did the trick and not only kept the disease from progressing, but partially reversed some of the damage. We got almost another year of quality time with Tigger. He was not in discomfort and was his old self again. That same dog was having difficulty walking on hard wood floors, and Dr. Walker suggested some no-slip grips for my dogs pads. Again, the recommendation was spot on. Eventually my pet had to be put down. They were kind and compassionate. I was able to stay with Tigger through the whole event. They offered several options for his final arrangements. They provided me a clay paw print. About a week later I received a condolences card in the mail signed by the entire staff. The front desk staff are courteous, professional and very helpful. This is a busy clinic... and yes I am occasionally placed on hold, but usually only after they ask if its an emergency. Their prices are very reasonable. The cost of the prescribed medications were less expensive at this clinic than anywhere else I checked (local or online). I can't say enough positive things about Double Arrow and their great staff. One thing to keep in mind... this clinic changed ownership a few years ago and now have entirely new vets, techs and staff. So if you are reading reviews more than says 2 years old, they are not representative of the current clinic. read more

Called back to try to get into the following day and the receptionist was extremely rude to me letting me know that I had already called earlier, which I clarified that I had once again telling me that I could not get in for almost a month out for an emergency and recommended a vet that also was weeks away. I was recommended Double Arrow by a couple people because I was just not getting any head way with figuring out what was going on with my elderly dog. He is having (still on going after 2 years) issues with his mouth. I went to Double Arrow in hopes they'd be able to work with me to figure it out. Well, after a few visits, teeth cleaning, antibiotics and steroids... we are still at the same point. Obviously, my little guys issues are a bit more complicated. I did go see another vet for another opinion to try and figure this out. When that came up with nothing, I called Double Arrow back to see if we can just do an antibiotic to give my little guy quality of life, so he can eat and enjoy the rest of his life. I did not get a call back so I called after hours and spoke to their on call vet (who I found out later is the owner) he was less then helpful and not wanting to help me because he only sees large animals. I just asked for the clinic to prescribe some pain medication and antibiotic, which they already have on file for him. I was told to take him to emergency if I needed something. Well, that didn't seem reasonable being I already have established care with them and I'm not asking for anything crazy (maybe I was wrong to assume this). So the next week, I called and left a couple messages for his regular vets to call me, to no avail, I didn't receive a call back. I called again after hours and got the same after hours vet ( he informed me then that he was the owner) I do not feel that my request was outlandish, I just didn't see any reason to make my already anxious dog go through yet another exam only to be told "they cannot figure it out, here's some antibiotic". When I explained to the owner vet that I had gone to another vet and all I'm asking for is quality of life, he seemed to get annoyed with me and told me to have the other vet send over the records, so, I did. I emailed them myself, confirmed with his clinic they got them. I I've called multiple times over the last month in a half and never got a call back. My dog has raw cheeks and gums which makes it difficult to eat.. I've taken away his toys, I've changed his diet, I've put him on medication, pain killers, steroids and I've had several teeth pulled. I went to double arrow because I was told they were the best. I wasn't trying to second guess them by going someplace else, I'm just trying to help my dog. I'm extremely offended that this vet clinic doesn't have the common courtesy of a phone call or the decency to have a real conversation. I mean, I thought that the purpose for a veterinarian is to help animals. If this vet honestly cared, he could've at least followed through by reviewing my dogs case as he said he would with the other vets and call me back. I'd been fine if after the review he wanted to do his own exam... but I never got the call or the ask. If this was my child and I had the same issues, I'd be screaming from the rooftops... I'm sad and disappointed. I just want my dog to live out the rest of his life without pain, I'll also add, because of the steroids, it appears he may have Cushing disease. Didn't know much about it and didn't know what questions to ask. Went back next day to get copy of X-ray and Dr Weekes took the time to talk to me more about it. Love this place. Adopted an 18 month old dog. Called Double Arrow Vet clinic to update ownership and to find out if she needs any shots. Reception reluctantly looked up the chart and said she was due in May for some vaccinations. Asked if we can change ownership and she said we would have to come into the office for that. I asked if it can be done any other way then going to their office. Was told no, had to go to the office to fill out forms. Any business that understood good customer service would have offered to mail or email me the forms. No way I'm going to take time off of work and go out of my way to fill out a form. Everyone was professional and the vet prices are more reasonable compared to the other vet clinics I have been to in the Tri-Cities. I recommend them. My friends recommendation to Double Arrow was just what we needed! We have a 14 yr old German Shepard who is very anxious but was in need of a nail clipping(in the worse way!). After a horrible experience at another Vet in Pasco we were reluctant to go anywhere ever again to be honest. But I knew our old sweetheart needed some TLC. The staff was amazing and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door! We saw Dr.John and his assistants who both were awesome,caring, knowledgeable and professional! They were able to trim her nails without sedation (which at her age would be dangerous)!! I actually cried I was so happy and grateful!! I called to see how much a wellness exam cost. The receptionist put me on hold for a little less than 5 minutes, I assumed she was busy so decided to call back later. I called back half an hour later and was provided the amount for an exam ($60). When I said "thank you" and was going to begin scheduling an appointment, she didn't give me a chance. She hung up on me. I presume I paused for too long & she didn't have the service skills to ask if I would like to schedule one. I made an appointment with the Veternarian Hank. Have used him in the far past for my horses and dogs. The receptionist was the rudest lady I have had to deal with. Should have been a sign for me. As I booked the gelding appointment she quoted me a price. When the dr. Came out to do his procedure I ask him to give me the age of my horse. Reluctantly he looks in his mouth and says he is 4 years old. When he figures out my bill it is over 100.00 more. Well this dr. Doesn't seem to know how to age a horse by its teeth because it turns out he is actually 9 years old. Between the rudeness of the receptionist and this vet. I read the reviews on this clinic and decided to go against them and go in and talk to them since I needed special accommodations, I had also heard through mutual friends they had new owners. There were 3 friendly people at the front when I walked in, they all greeted me, assured me that my accommodations could be met, so I made an appt. Showed up today and they were ALL amazing, from the front desk to the back of the house all were GREAT! They made it less stressful for me and my dogs! I say if your in doubt and you just want to find out, walk in and talk to them, you will find the reviews aren't always what they seem. Yes they are a busy clinic, yes you will probably get asked to hold if you call, the front desk is a one person show and she can only do so much at one time! Been going here for over a year because there's a shortage of vets in the Tri-cities. My older dog needs pain pills and they seemed to handle that OK, after all, how could they screw that up? Well they did. Walked in today to pick up pills and there were 5 employees standing around the desk talking. Not a mask among them. Small waiting area too, so you can be exposed to LOTS of viruses. I have to take care of high-risk elderly people. Guess you can call it in, pay over the phone and get curbside delivery, but I was blind-sided and never even considered the possibility that a health care office, even for pets, would be maskless. I asked if the vets wear masks when they're seeing your pets and they said yes, but I wonder. A lot of good that does with the front the way it is anyway. My other dog has eye problems and continued to worsen under their care. Plus they do not know how to handle scared dogs. He goes to a different vet now and is finally getting better after 5 months of double arrow. Now I need to say something nice about them too, to be fair. I just read thru a bunch of reviews here and it sounds like they may do a good job with euthanasia. read more

We really like this veterinarian. Dr. Wisse is a no-nonsense vet. If your pet doesn't really need something, he doesn't push it. He knows his stuff, and we have always felt he has given our dogs the best care possible. He let's us know what he thinks would be best, but always seems comfortable to allow us to make the final decision on medical procedures. He has always been kind, and has a calm demeanor which our dogs appreciate. The prices are always reasonable, and you never find yourself pushed into procedures or exams that aren't really necessary. We have been to many many veterinarians over the years, and Dr. Wisse is our favorite. read more

Double arrow got my pug in quickly when his vet of 12 yrs suddenly closed. This was important because I needed prescription refills and it was the day after Christmas! The only bad point was a very long wait, 45 minutes past our appointment time, but once we actually saw the vet, she was kind, thorough, thoughtful and took lots of time to answer all my questions and concerns. She went through pros and cons of other options for medications and was knowledgeable about the needs of an aging pug. She was just very personable too :0). It was $70 for the visit, which is also what my previous vet charged. I'm very happy to have found such a good vet on the first try with the only drawback being the long wait. Also the receptionist I encountered was friendly and helpful both over the phone and in person. Update: prescription refills were hassle free and prompt. The cost of a 3 wk supply was the same price as a 4 wk supply at my previous vet. read more

Been bringing my dogs here for years but probably won't be coming back. My best friend in the world for the past 14 years had a stroke Friday morning and started dying as I carried him to the car. Got to the vet 5 minutes before they opened and sat in the car petting him until they unlocked the front door (2 minutes late) I carry him in and tell the lady I need to put him down. She then proceeds to screw around on the computer, dig through file cabinets and have me sign paperwork as I'm standing there in tears with my best friend dying In my arms. Here's an idea, let me take him in the back and let him die with some fucking dignity and worry about the paperwork after he's done suffering? Get a clue! read more

I started going to this vet in 2017, I find them very compassionate not only to the pet but owners. I had my Ciera treated for Cancer, which she deceased at home. I was so impressed how they took care of her in her need. Prices are Great staff are wonderful, Dr is very nice. I know we all get stressed when our furry friend needs help quick, we become impatient to every minute. I read reviews about unhappy people, but stop and think about it sometimes our time is different than other clocks, we are not the only customer, and they do a great job. Just put yourself in their shoes, I don't think you will do as well for sure. read more

Took my new kitten in for a full checkup - was ignored by staff for several minutes, once shown back to a room doctor came in without introducing himself and spent maybe 2 minutes looking at the kitten. Staff again was rudely ignoring me when I was trying to check out. Called and got set up with a new vet that same day - kitten did have a parasite I found out. Thank goodness I went somewhere else. It's taken me a couple months to write this review. We had a dog, 13 years old who we typically took to another vet. He had glaucoma, even though we were treating it he still had issues one day we noticed blood oozing. Unfortunately our regular vet was in surgery and couldn't help and suggested we get him elsewhere. Double arrow was close to my job and they could see him that day. Went in and they suggested we remove the eye which we did and had to stay a few days until stable and could come home. He stunk so bad when I picked him up, but otherwise all seemed ok. Within a few weeks we noticed him coughing a lot, so mentioned it at follow up appt. He had a heart murmer and the surgery made it worse. So now 2 pills 2 times a day. upped the dose once as he was still filling up with fluid.. And after awhile was still struggling. We made the hard decision to put him down due to his age and struggling. I was prepared, took my husband about a month to be ready, but I got tasked with the job. Made an appt. When I went in I was told I could not go back with him!! What? Who doesn't stay with their "kid" when they put them to sleep. Finally the Dr said ok. Now I had to put my dad's dog down when she fell ill while he was out of town. Different vet. Super caring. Put in an IV, gave calming meds, then the meds to stop heart. Very reassuring in the situation. At double arrow, they take your family member to the back, stab them several times in each arm without shaving looking for a vein, move the needle all over the place, all while being squished to some strangers chest while you stand back and watch. Then when they "think"they might have a vein, squirt in less than half of the liquid in the needle. And proceed to watch as your baby slowly struggles to die. I was crying so much i had to leave before I punched the guy, not knowing if my buddy was fully at peace or still struggling and suffering. No hearts at all, no offer of a plaster paw print, just "are you taking him or are we disposing of the body?" Cost =relatively inexpensive Treatment =they brutally torture and murder your pet! NOT WORTH PRICE OR CONVENIENCE! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I took my cat in to this vet. The asshole piece of shit quack and his staff are rude and awful towards the animals. My cat was murdered and tje quack blames it on the size of my cat. The quack (doc) gave my cat too much sleeping gas which should have been looked into depending on the cats health, weight ect. Of course that piece of Shit didn't bother. Also I was not card till seven hours after my cat has passed. The women bitch says " sorry bit your cat died" with no sympathy. They were rude and un-professionable. The doctor treated me like oh well, just another animal dead, it happens...what the fuck! This place needs to be Shit down!
