I was assured that I didn't have to worry, that they would make him look cute. When I picked him up I was in shock. He looked horrible. Entirely shaved down to nothing except most of his head. Having given not much for direction, I won't even hold that against them as the idea of cute is subjective. The concept of a good job is not however. The lines were so choppy as if no effort to blend was taken at all. They shaved half way up his face and then just stopped. Picture submitted. The line on the back of his head isn't even kind of straight or blended. Though I appreciate the ability to get us in right away, I now know why they weren't busy. Thank you for being friendly and warm but I regret to say that we won't be back. Two stars are merely for the convenience of the appt and the friendliness of the staff, and not a one for the job that was done on my dog.

But today I had a very bad experience with their current staff and policies. I dropped my pup off at 7:15 a.m. this morning (drop off is 7 - 8). I stopped in to pick her up at 12:15ish (pick up is before 1:00 p.m.). I wasn't really sure what "before 1:00" meant but figured if I dropped my pup off at 7:15 surely that was enough time to get her done. I was greeted by a very annoyed and unapologetic staff whose only response was "well... ugh!". I left and returned a minute later to catch them talking crap about me! My only crime was to try to be prompt and pick up my pup "before 1:00" (whatever that means). One of our last freedoms in this country is to decide where we spend our money - for me, it won't be at the Barking Lot.

I've gone couple times and every time they cut her to short. Even though I ask them again and again not to cut her short. She then kept itching herself and licking her area. I was told my dog was too dirty so her dry cut was not performed. We bathed her the night before as instructed but she does have flaky skin and gets build up from allergies. I asked why if she was dirty she couldn't have bathed her as her groomer and we could have booked a cut for the next time or she could have reached out to me to develop a plan? She stated since she was booked for a dry cut she didn't have time to do that. Okay. I paid for the discounted grooms and she asked me if I wanted to book a full groom. I said no, I'd really just like to see my dogs. She said ok I'll go get them. While waiting another staff member came up and was helping another customer. We mentioned he had been waiting for about 5 minutes for our dogs and weren't sure what the hold up was. The staff member looked at us and asked if we had paid. Yes we paid! Made us feel like our dogs were being held from us or something. It was an odd and uncomfortable experience for us overall. My dog that was groomed looked nice. Her cut was pretty. I sat her in my lap and I was covered in fur after. Like they didn't clean the excess fur off of her after. She also seemed irritated for the rest of the day, butt scooting on the carpet, licking her paws, and she had hair in her eyeballs. Her tear stains and food stains on her face were still there. These have always been cleansed away by other groomers and I've never seen my furbaby so irritated after a groom. Will not be back.
