I told them he was too hot with all his fur but was very concerned about what he would look like if he were completely shaved. I was assured that I didn't have to worry, that they would make him look cute. When I picked him up I was in shock. He looked horrible. Entirely shaved down to nothing except most of his head. Having given not much for direction, I won't even hold that against them as the idea of cute is subjective. The concept of a good job is not however. The lines were so choppy as if no effort to blend was taken at all. They shaved half way up his face and then just stopped. Picture submitted. The line on the back of his head isn't even kind of straight or blended. Though I appreciate the ability to get us in right away, I now know why they weren't busy. Thank you for being friendly and warm but I regret to say that we won't be back. Two stars are merely for the convenience of the appt and the friendliness of the staff, and not a one for the job that was done on my dog.

I was worried about that however I've never had my dog groomed before so I wasn't sure if that was normal and she might've just been anxious about the bus that should've never been on. Long story short I would love to add pictures to this review. She was only have shaved. She looked like she had a lions mane on her back. She also had one leg left on shaved or cut. The whole leg her feet were bleeding. It was recommended that I let them come and fix the horrible job that Sid had done. I absolutely no one I would ever have my dog ever again SYDNE HE IS ON THEIR LIST OF GROOMER ! When the new groomer came to fix the atrocity that said had done to my dog, I was very reluctant however, my family members were telling them to fix their mistake because I also paid $130. I really wish I could post pictures ! Never in my life whatever recommend this company ever. I would also like to call the Better Business Bureau on the groomer that's name is SID !! 0-0 stars PS THE GROOMER THAT CAME TO FIX THE JOB ALSO DID NOT UNDERSTAND HOW HE GOT IN BETWEEN HER TOES LIKE THAT I TOLD HER THEY WERE BLEEDING MAYBE THAT THAT'S HOW HE DID IT I paid $130 for this haircut. I paid $130 so very upset that I could not get any appropriate words the $130 so he would leave and then called the company Left a message and they called back within five minutes. They said it was a misunderstanding that's so wrong but they did come and fix the dog.

I am hesistant to post this review as in the past, we were clients of The Barking Lot (with Matt at…read morethe helm) and loved it. But today I had a very bad experience with their current staff and policies. I dropped my pup off at 7:15 a.m. this morning (drop off is 7 - 8). I stopped in to pick her up at 12:15ish (pick up is before 1:00 p.m.). I wasn't really sure what "before 1:00" meant but figured if I dropped my pup off at 7:15 surely that was enough time to get her done. I was greeted by a very annoyed and unapologetic staff whose only response was "well... ugh!". I left and returned a minute later to catch them talking crap about me! My only crime was to try to be prompt and pick up my pup "before 1:00" (whatever that means). One of our last freedoms in this country is to decide where we spend our money - for me, it won't be at the Barking Lot.

My Shih Tzu came out looking amazing and the employees were super nice and friendly. However, my golden retriever was in just for a trim and wash. He started excessively shedding and itching himself around the face and neck and we had a new groomer today look at him and she immediately said he had bad coat damage.
