We had just completed a full day exploring Oahu's North Shore on a mid October Sunday. We decided we were too tired to explore any restaurants on Waikiki Beach and determined if we went back to our hotel room we would be too tired to leave. So since we had walked by the Queensbreak Restaurant numerous times during our stay at the Waikiki Marriott Resort we would give it a try and perhaps jump in the jacuzzi after dinner. Since it was a early Sunday there wasn't a wait to be seated by our hostess who was very welcoming. Fortunately there was a talented musician/singer performing when we were seated. Our server was very pleasant and helpful in taking our drink and entrée selections. Our son order the Shrimp Pad Thi which he later devoured. My wife selected the mushroom flat bread and requested grilled chicken. I wasn't very hungry after a lunch enjoying spicy shrimp from a "Food Network" reviewed truck during our North Shore adventures earlier. So I ordered a simple Caesar Salad which our server asked if I "wanted to add some protein? Perhaps pork, chicken or Marlin?" Wait what? Did she say "Marlin" and not Mahi Mahi? Well then, I have NEVER had tasted Marlin despite having been raised in Maryland home of the Blue Marlin. Me and my wife stayed with H2O as our "Cocktails". Which was refreshing! Our server delieved our entrées very promptly---seemed like a very few minutes as we were entertained by the very good musician/singer. My Ceasar Salad with very good and the Marlin was really good with its white meat. I shared it was my son and wife--- they really enjoyed it too! My wife's flat bread looks and she said was very good and she took half home for later. My son's Pad Thai was great! He loved the shrimp with came with their heads attached, so I showed him how to "suck em heads, and eat em tail" New Orleans style! Overall we were very satisfied with our early and entertaining dinner at Queensbreak Restaurant. Then we waited the obligatory time before jumping into the near by hot tub. Enjoy! read more

You will love the oceanfront view, and the integrated swimming pool is a wonderful convenience. Keep in mind the menu is very limited; however, their fire pits are sweet! Wouldn't recommend the Greek salad based on our experience -- feta cheese is bland, and the vinegaret dressing was "off" and overly generous. read more

Found out about Queensbreak to avoid Tiki's Grill and Bar's long line. I was not expecting the food to be that great and my expectations were right. I ordered the Fish Tacos, which were pretty pricey for a medium sized serving. The waiter was extremely nice and the vibes of the rooftop were also enjoyable, but the food and prices did not match. Would likely not go again to Queensbreak if I was in the area, but glad I got to try it once. read more

This place is sooooo good!! I was worried because the ratings were so low but took the chance anyways. The server was very friendly, you seat yourself and then they come take your order. I got the chicken sandwich which came with a side of fries. On the menu it says cabbage pepper slaw which made me laugh when it came because I thought they meant black pepper, it was sliced up bell peppers instead haha! The bun with very fluffy and sweet and the chicken was seasoned so well, very crispy and a good portion of white meat with no fat at all. The slaw was amazing as well, usually it falls out of the sandwich and gets messy but this places slaw stayed in place! Highly recommend this place for lunch, only thing is that it is on the pricier side and depending on what you get the price might not seem like it's worth it. 100/10 for this place, very good!!! read more

We sat down and it took awhile for someone to come to take our order or check on us. I know they're prob understaffed like everywhere Prices are pretty high but I guess you go for the views and not really the food. Had the Poke bowl and was expecting a bit more. What came was good tasting but VERY small portion (only the poke, no rice or other veggies). We dined here around 8pm on a weeknight. The live music ended at 8:30pm even though they closed at 10pm. We were slightly disappointed because he was a lovely singer and we'd hoped to hear more. OK so besides the nice outdoor dining patio, let me tell you... We had $200 credit to spend here so we ordered a bunch of things to try. Everything except the salad was salty af. I hate wasting food and unfortunately couldn't even get myself to finish all of it. Food: * Local Papaya Salad ($18) - light & fresh! * Kauai Shrimp Pad Thai ($28) - shrimp looked unappetizing, were overcooked & overall left a lot to be desired. We had reservations at 5 pm. When we got there it was opening seating so I guess we didn't really need a reservation. There at a lot of tables open so that's a plus. Once we were seated we were helped by one of the staff members. He started off by ordering our drinks. We had waters all around and 2 cocktails. The first was the "Ooh Bae" and "Ohua Cooler". Both were $16. We also ordered our entrees. I went with the Wagyu Smash Burger ($28). We also ordered the Mushroom flatbread ($20), Kauai shrimp pad thai ($28), and the Homemade Mac 'n cheese ($9) from the keiki menu. The drinks came out and both had a slice of pineapple on it. Both looked good and refreshing. The ube was my favorite between the two. The food came out shortly after and the mushroom flatbread caught my eye the most. The burger looked really good as well and it came with fries and ketchup. The pad Thai was pretty small and very delicious! The Mac n cheese is a perfect size for kids also. Other than the reservation system I'd say this is a pretty good restaurant. The vibe there is really on point whether you came before sunset, during sunset or a night. I made reservations at this places based off of a Tik Tok video. The video recommended this place for its outdoor games like cornhole, checkers, etc.. when we went, the games were not being played. The restaurant was very dead and the view from the dining area was just okay! We had a sweet waitress who took care of us and even brought us blankets as we got chilly. The food was not great at all. We ordered the fish tacos which came lukewarm on cold tortillas. The chicken sandwich was decent. If we weren't starving, we would have sent the food back and tried something else. Overall 4 Stars! The food - 3 Stars. It was a last minute decision for dinner since we were visiting the hotel for a performance and wanted free parking with validation. The restaurant easily accommodated our party of 10, we only waited about 10 mins to sit. The place is outdoor on the hotel pool/recreation deck. Live music is played nightly. Lights are low and the vibe is chill. This is a great place for the start of a date night. The food was good, a bit pricey but expected for poolside in Waikiki - I guess. We ordered a variety of dishes. I had the Pad Thai ($30) - it was really fishy and the elements were dry/overcooked, even the Shrimp. I wouldn't order that again! My daughter had the Caesar Salad with Chicken ($28) - The Salad was delicious, the Dressing was Spectacular! Too bad the Chicken was dry and overcooked - the grilled flavor was good though. Since the last time I tried this bar out (October 2021), I decided to give it another go March 2022. I noticed the cocktail drinks menu changed a bit since I was last here. My friend Rachie P. and I sat at the bar next to the pool to sample their new drinks. I got the 'Grace & Grit' [Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila, Cointreau, Fresh Papaya, Citrus Sour, Alaea Red Sea Salt]. You could definitely taste the tequila and papaya notes in the drink. It was well balanced. I liked that it was blended as well. My friend got the 'Ooh Bae' [Ko'olau Old Pali Road Hawaiian Whiskey, Pina Colada, Big Island Ube Syrup] and the 'Ohua Cooler' [Pau Vodka, Koloa Coconut Rum, Pineapple, Lychee Liquer, Vanilla & Passionfruit], both of which looked delicious. I gotta definitely try those out next time! Love l o ve LOVE that they incorporate local made products in their drinks. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! There is waaaaaay more to aloha than flower leis, pineapples, and ukuleles. Service at the bar was okay. It took a while for me to decide on what I wanted to order. And it also took a while to order. So we are staying at the hotel that is connected to this restaurant. I had ordered for the second time in a row nachos the first day I had it the chips were hot and the pork was very warm. Today, when I ordered the same way, I definitely did not get them the same way the chips came out cold and limp, like if they were out the whole day. Also, I did not get the Queso and pico and salsa, no corn, and as little not even a teaspoon of guacamole. Very disappointing They're consistency is not here I had asked first them to redo let's see. So the second one came out better but wouldn't order it again. I am also surprised that Marriott does not run the restaurant it's by a third party. NOT MARRIOTT OWNED. Very disappointing. We're staying at the Marriott and have been disappointed with the dining and beverage experiences we have had in the hotel so far. The Queensbreak is no exception. We were hoping that ordering an appetizer and a couple beers was something they couldn't mess up. We were wrong. The tepid $14 each beers were hard to enjoy with music playing by the pool on our left and also at the Luau on our right. It was annoying and off-putting, and it just feels disjointed here. The vibe felt like the bartender was just over his job. We had an older male bartender who was so very inattentive... until he handed us the check (we had to ask for it). We made the mistake of sharing fish and chips . I may be new to Hawaii, but I'm not new to fish. Not only did I grow up at the beach, eating fresh seafood, but I'm also a female fishermen. This was by far the worst fish I have had in my adult life. The mahi was cold, fishy, slimy underneath the breading, and too tough to even cut with a knife or even bite. I pulled the breading off to reveal a very thick bloodline. The cut of fish was bad. I would not be surprised if the fish was fried, not served, unbreaded, re-breaded and fried again. With no exaggeration, you cannot cut into it. It was awful. My husband and I were just completely annoyed by the whole experience. The bartender should have noticed that we didn't touch the fish. We attempted to eat one piece of the fish each, unable to and leaving it on our plates with one entire piece of fish still intact in the basket. The french fries were a cheap crinkle, cut fries and also cold and not crispy. 10 out of 10 I do not recommend this place . It lacks everything that keeps guests returning. What a shame. read more

This restaurant is a little hidden. It's a rooftop restaurant inside the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. You have to go up the stairs from Kalakaua Ave and walk past the pool to the back. The mushroom flatbread is onolicious! I went back for it two more times. They have a cute swing for picture taking right before the restaurant entrance. The drinks were nothing special. The first time I went was for my friend's Bachelorette night. I tried the purple taro cocktail, but whoever made mine didn't make it as purple as everyone else's, which was disappointing. Stopped by Queensbreak on the way to dinner because the front desk said there would be live entertainment that night, but there was no performer to be seen! That's ok, we started chatting with our bar neighbor and made a new friend instead! Drinks are delicious and strong here! We got the Ooh Bae and Ohua Cooler - both were great! Different flavors in each so it was nice to get both and try the difference. The vibe here is super fun, it feels like a hip rooftop bar you'd find in LA but way more chill and less judgmental. We were staying at the Marriott in Waikiki and this is one of their restaurants by the adult pool! The chef and staff were super friendly and accommodating. We emailed the chef in advance and he was able to prepare a few items for me without onion and garlic that were vegetarian. The mushroom bruschetta was yummy, I found the papaya salad a tad bitter but still really good, and seared tofu with veggies. I just arrived to Hawaii and I came to the 3rd floor to grab lunch since I was staying at the hotel. The atmosphere is really nice and modern. They were playing r&b music. Definitely a nice chill vibe. They have a swing outside to take pictures which was cute. I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews and looking at the menu, it wasnt much that sparked my attention. To drink I decided to get the Ooh Bae ( SOOOOOO GOOD WORTH IT) $16 was pricey but for vacation sure. I ordered the flatbread pepperoni and caesar salad. During our first full day here in Honolulu (Friday July 21), the wife and I were at Waikiki Beach swimming with a monk seal. He actually swam up to us, but the lifeguard quickly told us to keep a distance. Afterwards, we had lunch here at Queensbreak. Our server was very accommodating as they had to brew a batch of unsweetened ice tea. It was worth the wait as this will most likely be the best ice tea on the island. For lunch, my wife got the chicken tacos ($19) and I got the fish tacos ($22). They were so good, it's hard to believe there are bad reviews here based on the food. This spot is located at the hotel we are staying at and has a cool top deck which has live music, food and cocktails. We asked what their best drink was and she said hands down the mai tai so we started with those and some chicken wings which were bomb! Located in Marriott on Waikiki is this cool bar & restaurant. The menu is limited, but the drinks are GREAT and the food is good. Recommendation: Get the Ooh Bae and thank me later. I got the kalua tacos and a small downside was how oily/watery they were. I was taken aback by how much liquid came off-- without squeezing the taco. That said, it was very tasty. My review may have had another star if I ate something else, but because this is what I chose and ate, it gets 3 stars instead of 4. We sat under the awning so the sunset rain didn't effect us, but we observed it was a hit or miss for people under umbrellas. I did like that almost every table had umbrellas though!
