The price was high and the food was mediocre. Nothing really stood out. Do not recommend it.

I am gonna ask that Queenie's release my grand mother from their kitchen. Talk about Southern comfort food, this is the real deal. From lemon thyme trout to fried chicken and gravy good. I left feeling full from a Sunday dinner at grand moms house. Collard greens, field peas and ice cold drinks in a mason jar. If you can remember those times at the dinner table then this is absolutely the place you need to come dine at. Our waitress was on point, kind and very attentive, thank you Jaime. We will be back to see you and to continue our wonderful conversation. Don't skip on the dessert you'll be sorry if you do I recommend it all. We LOVE Queenie's. Most of the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable, and the food is excellent. We like the fact that they have a core menu as well as seasonal treats. We just wish some of the seasons lasted longer. Their food is fairly priced and the portions are plentiful. You can go wrong with the Trout or the Fried Chicken. read more

Pulled pork portion was generous though not as moist and tender as I would have expected though nice balance of inner meat and burnt outer sections for added smoked flavor. The downtown Canton area is chock full of coole eateries. On my last night in town I ended up at Queenie's. It sound like a sandwich shop but it's a high-end Southern comfort bbq joint. It's owned by the same guy that owns a few other local restaurants including Goin' Coastal next door. I sat at the bar and Nick, the bartender, was an absolute pro. I started with a healthy pour of Basil Hayden bourbon over a large ice cube (a perfect mixer). Nick recommended a pork belly appetizer, served over grits with a mustard and sorghum glaze. Just amazing and quite filling. For my entree, I had the Thursday brisket special, pecan smoked, served with Brussels sprouts and Redneck lasagna. What's redneck lasagna? It's a bowl of Mac n cheese, topped with Bill's Brunswick stew. What's Bill's Brunswick stew? It's a beef and pork and corn mixture with the consistency of, well, a bowl of stew. The brisket was amazing, with a great smoke ring, thick bark and fork tender. The sprouts were quite good but unremarkable. The lasagna was hands down amazing. I could not come close to finishing. Went for lunch last week and food/service was great. Went back today for a late lunch and the 1st thing the server said was "How can I help you?" What? She sat us gave lunch menus but came right back and said "I'm sorry I gave you lunch menus but we stop serving lunch at three". We told here it was only 3:10 and we didn't want dinner. The server was nice, helpful and friendly BUT she cleared my husbands plate, which was fine and then brought the check. I was still eating so the server should have shown respect for that. The server was wonderful! So welcoming and nice. The food was awesome! They even had a homemade hot sauce that I almost died after tasting but was so worth it. My husband and I among with my parents had a wonderful anniversary lunch here. Our first time to try the restaurant and I will definitely go back. We tried an appetizer of grilled shrimp with corn and blackeyed peas. Entrees were pulled pork and carolina trout. Yum! Sides around included the really good sweet potato confi and brussel sprouts and greens. Had to try two deserts - banana pudding and chocolate mocha cheesecake. Totally delicious. First time in and it was SO good - it won't be our last! My daughter got a Mac & Cheese with a side of Brussels sprouts - both so good! I got the pulled pork sandwich with the Dr Pepper sauce and potato salad which were both delicious!! If you like sweet tea, that was also spot on! Excellent find! Right in the heart of downtown Canton, Queenie's is super cute and delicious. We were seated quickly and service was very friendly. The biscuits are quite good and the soft butter was perfect. A winning sign for me is that they specify on the menu that they use Duke's mayo. My husband got the smoked chicken salad sandwich - it was really tasty. I got a daily special, chicken and dumplings, and they were very good. I'm super picky about chicken and dumplings...it makes me mad when people try to pass off chicken soup with biscuits on top or sone other equally offensive imposter as chicken and dumplings. These were the real thing. I'd only further thicken them as personal preference. I wish I'd tried the Coca Cola cake. Next time. And the sweet tea is perfect. read more

Maybe I just ordered wrong, but I chose a special "country fried steak" that was cooked within an inch of its life. I could barely cut through it, let alone chew it. I will say the biscuits and sides (mashed potatoes and summer squash) we're fine. Nothing earth shattering, but fine. The restaurant itself is lovely and the service was good. The server discounted my bill, which was nice. It would have been disappointing to pay $21 for two sides and some little flat biscuits. The butter they serve with the biscuits is very tasty. Wow! This place would be a strong 4 1/2 star in Atlanta - but in Canton it is a hands down 5 star!! The Brunswick stew is as good as Southern Soul (the gold standard in Georgia) Menu is exceptionally creative and truly Southern Food was all outstanding, superb quality and properly seasoned (lightly) Service and atmosphere (Main Street downtown Canton ) are all perfect. Our first visit to this local favorite came unplanned at 5:30 on a Friday night. Our party of 8 were seated within 5 minutes and beat the crowds but a small margin. The dining area was full within 10 minutes. The seating is comfortable with a modern take on southern flair. The lighting is lovely and not overwhelming. The menu was quite unexpected and I found it difficult to decide upon a meal. All the options seemed pleasing. We were served ice water in Mason jars, and upon asking were given biscuits golden brown and soft with butter, mini cornbread muffins as well. The cane sugar butter was just enough sweet. My husband ordered grilled chicken topped with cheese and uncured bacon, potato salad, and coleslaw. He stated all were good but he prefers a multicolored sweeter coleslaw. Our son had a half rack of ribs, yup he insisted lol. There is no kids menu, you must ask for it and your server will recite the options. He clearly didn't order from the kids menu. He had mac n cheese and hand cut fries as sides. He enjoyed all of them and the ribs came apart with little effort. I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of glazed, roasted brussel sprouts. The grits had a wonderful texture and creaminess and the shrimp were of ample size and tenderness. The brussel sprouts were crispy and tender both, very delicious. I also enjoyed a queenie martini with a gin base and a hint of fruit, perfectly chilled and shaken. We will return. My only negative was pricing. There were no entrees under $17. I would encourage them to offer some smaller, perhaps $15 options as specials etc. read more

This could have been 5 stars. The food was tasty. Only complaint is one small service issue we had. We sat outside and were only people sitting outside. We git our water and ordered drinks. On our servers second visit we ordered biscuits app. After few minutes other 2 tables had people sitting on them and what we noticed is that they received biscuits and cornbread with spread as complimentry bread. We were not offered this bread. Server who brought that out for other tables noticed that we weren't offered the breads and still didn't even bother asking. Don't care about few pieces of breads but the service should be uniform for all customers. Only left 10 percent in tips. read more

I had lunch there with my boyfriend & his hamburger was raw & not medium well. We sent it back twice & it was still raw. How hard is it to cook a hamburger? Came here with family after a memorial service. We had a very large group so we told the restaurant ahead of time that we would like to eat there. They were wonderful to us. They made sure to continuously check on us, make recommendations, kept our drinks filled. I tried the Queenie Martini and it was really yummy! The pulled pork was good, as was the bbq sauce it came with, and the Mac and cheese. The biscuits they brought to us before the meal were cooked perfectly and paired really well with the pimento cheese they brought with it. Downtown Canton is killing it on restaurants and Queenie's is no exception. Nick is a fun bartender to talk to. We only come in when he is working. Some must eats include: farm mushrooms on ciabatta, house biscuits, grilled chicken smothered in pimento cheese, and fried chicken. The ham & pickles bizarrely remind me of a 1980s homemaker appetizer at a bridal shower but is surprisingly fun and good. Flashback to the past and enjoy. read more
