Don't go here if you are looking for a full set. Apparently they do not do full sets. Guess if I only needed one finger done they would have helped me but then I'd look funny! Fairly shocked at the wonderful reviews. I took my mother in law out for a little pampering and got manicures. Both of our nails do look amazing, I will say that. But the customer service was not amazing. The gals that did out nails just talked to each other half the time and the other half on her phone. Just no communication. Visited Queen Nail yesterday for the first time, after reading so many great reviews on yelp. There's a reason there are so many great reviews!! The prices are great, the staff is friendly, the polish colors are abundant, and the massages are marvelous!!! Rachel did a mani/pedi for me and was awesome (so awesome that I recommended her to all of my girlfriends at dinner last night - so Rachel hopefully they'll all be visiting soon! ;)). It did take a little over 2 hours for a mani and a pedi, but I cannot emphasize how much it is worth it!!! (Just plan ahead so you won't be rushed or annoyed.) The basic mani/pedi was $35, a step up was $40, and the highest was $45. I did the $40 option myself. A truly great spa day!!!! read more

This salon is awesome! I came one day for lunch to get my gel polish changed and I got a neck & shoulder massage and paraffin wax treatment as part of my regular service! The gels weren't too thick and there were plenty of colors to choose. They used fresh hand towels for every hand wash too. Everyone was very friendly. The next week was my daughter's bday, so I treated my girls to a spa day. Our hair appointment was super delayed (hour) so we ended up being late for our mani-pedi appointments too. When I called they said they would still take us. They were waiting patiently for us and were still friendly as ever! They didn't rush through our decadent pedicures or manicures. I've tried numerous nail salons in Raleigh over the years and just 'stumbled" across this one. I had a doctor's appointment across the street and had time to kill before picking up the kids from preschool. I saw the sign "Queens Nails" and walked in. They seated me at once for a mani and pedi and they had my favorite OPI color Bubble Bath. Plus they had all the current People magazines(My guilty pleasure)! I wish I would have taken time to get the guy's name, but he was amazing! I' m usually not impressed by the leg massages with most nail places and would skip it all together, but this was completely different. He knew the muscles and the areas to work in the leg area. Plus he took extreme detail in my nails. I hope this isn't a one time only type of thing, because I think I found my "guy"! read more

Great salon in North Raleigh. I like the fact that everyone that works here does a great job. They take their time with no feeling of being rushed. With that being said, do not expect to walk in off the street and get a walk in appointment, it happens sometimes but do not act shocked when they are booked. I would recommend calling for an appointment. They carry CND shellac products. Great perk of parrafin wax and neck back massage with manicures. The staff is friendly and do a great job. They are TERRIFIC! Linette was my manicurist and she was so sweet, polite, and very kind. I usually do not get my nails done, so I was a little out of my element at first. She explained the different kinds of manicures and we decided on the shellac for a more natural look. She didn't push anything extra and she was so thorough with me. Fabulous service! I went for the first time today before noon for a mani-pedi, so service was super prompt, and it was nice and clean inside! My tech, who said her name was Mia, gave me a great leg/foot massage and a good scrub for exfoliation. My feet are feeling a lot better. My tech at the last place I tried had made a mess of my fingernails, so she was super patient with fixing the issue and helped me pick a nail shape that would help prevent my nails from cracking. Her hand, back, and shoulder massage was included in the mani, and that was also fabulous! She was also super friendly, as were the rest of the nail techs. FINALLY!!!! After a year and half of searching for a great, yet reasonably priced nail salon I've found it!!! Thanks to my pal Alysha T's review I decided to give it a go after I divorced my last nail salon (the one in Cameron village..you know the one). This place exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I walk in and am greated by a nice girl who asks what I'd like to have done (mani/pedi). I pick my color - (they have a huge selection of both OPI and Essie by the way) and proceed to the back for the pedicure. The gentleman that ran my water asked me if the water temp was okay and if I'd like something to drink and he offered me a magazine....okay - off to a great start! I'm offered the price menu to select which pedicure I'd like - they're pretty much all the same, but you can opt for sugar scrub and/or parrafin wax if you choose...and I did ;). The pedicure was spectacular!! It took a little longer because I always have issues with ingrown toenails that require 'side' cutting. Hi was happy to do this for me and she was so thorough - most salons are not that thorough with this issue as it does add a significant amount of time to the process. No problem here!! I had selected a color but when I asked Hi what color she was wearing, she told me and said she'd be happy to get that for me - off she goes in search for the perfect color...again - awesome! Next up - manicure. She does most of it right there in the pedicure chair which is always a bonus because you get to stay in the comfy massage chair. When it was time to move over to the other station, we stopped by the parrafin wax station for a quick dip. While the wax was drying I was surprised with a neck and shoulder massage!! Really?! I had been looking for a nail salon in the Raleigh area for at least 6 months. I have tried Beverly Nails, Diva Nails and the other Queen Nails on Duraleigh and a few others found in the mall. All of them fell short in comparison to Queen Nails on Falls of Neuse. Everyone there is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I wanted to transition from Gels back to being natural. They were the first salon to help/discuss/develop a way to do this with me. I currently go and get the Shellac manicure every 2 weeks. The polish absolutley lasts and does not chip for the entire time and I could probably go longer (I just can't stand my nails getting that long). I highly recommend the Shellac as a natural alternative and as everyone else has commented make an appointment! read more

The BEST nail salon in Raleigh. In terms of cost, quality, variety of polish you can't go wrong. They always have the latest OPI and essie collections and even offer all 24 shades of CND shellac. Aside from that, they do spend some major time on your toes! I am very particular about Mani/pedis, especially hate it when they rush through doing your nails because there are people waiting - that does NOT happen here ...best bang for your buck. This place lives up to the hype. I have had manicures and pedicures from three other places in Raleigh in the past 4 years. This is the ONLY place that I've ever booked my next appointment BEFORE I left. I read the Yelp reviews last year, and struggled to make it to the salon on any particular day. Hence, my wandering to various near by salons, which always left me waiting 20-30 minutes and an average to mediocre appointment. Today WAS different. Having just gone through a break up, I decided that I was going to pamper myself today. So I drove by after crossfit to see how long the wait would be. The stars must have aligned because they squeezed me in as a walk in. The appointment was fast, friendly, and had a few unexpected but appreciated extras. (Hand massage, arm massage, shoulder massage, and neck massage. And from a cute man! So, even better!) After doing the basics of cleaning up my nails, and cuticles; I was indulged in a nice scrub and paraffin wax. My nails and hands look lovely. I feel relaxed. And isn't that the point of a manicure!? I had an appointment and after waiting 20mins I asked if I could reschedule. This nail salon is great! I have been getting pedicures here for the past 8 or 9 months and they're awesome! I love how the environment is quiet and relaxing, plus the massage chair and foot massage are great too! The only negative part to my visit was the actual customer service -- my nail tech was on her phone for about 15 minutes during my pedicure, which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Also, she didn't say anything to me besides at the beginning of the pedicure when she asked which one I would like and at the end, when it was time to pay. Why didn't someone tell me that getting your nails done could be a luxury experience at an affordable price? Queen Nails is one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. First off, they start you out right with a beverage. Then the pampering begins. Massages during a manicure is not the norm. I love abnormal! I went to Queen because as a recent graduate, I don't have a ton of money, but I LOVE nail color. I really wanted shellac, and the whole experience didn't disappoint. I made an appointment (make an appointment, folks, this place gets crowded), and the experience was quick, clean, and everyone was ridiculously friendly. Hands down the best pedicure I've received in Raleigh. I tried to come in yesterday but they were booked up about an hour before closing. I see why. I called this morning for an afternoon appointment. Nip was the tech that did my deluxe pedicure and it was great. My feet have not been this soft in a very long time. Ever since I've moved from Greensboro a year ago, I had yet to find a place that made my feet feel really soft (yes, I have feet that tend to callous easily). Nip was very nice. This place is great! Very clean, crazy thorough (as in took 2+ hrs to get a regular mani and pedi, longer for the gel), and very nice. Best of all, very reasonable prices ($15 for a French manicure, no upcharge is a steal!), and they even let you put a tip on your credit card. Making a reservation is mandatory. I went on a Saturday and saw a few people get turned away because they didn't have reservations. It seems like they have a lot of regulars and each regular tends to stick to one technician- every time someone walked into the store they were greeted by name/asked about their kids/etc. Seems like they keep great relationships with their customers. read more

I love the service here! I am from the coast and only come to Raleigh on business. After work one day I decided to treat myself to a pedicure and chose the highest rated nail salon near me. And it is rated highest for a reason! Jenny did a beautiful job on my mani/pedi and she gives the best massages! Overall, they only charged $55 for a pedi and shellac mani. Believe the hype! Having not had a pedicure or manicure since before my wedding nearly 8 years ago and with a must-look-presentable event looming on my calendar, I searched Yelp for a nail salon and came up with Queen Nails. It looks unremarkable from the outside, but don't be fooled! From the moment I walked in the staff were helpful even though I know about as much about manicures as a cat does about astrophysics (note from my cat: she is not at liberty to discuss her knowledge of that subject as it would interfere with the Master Plan) and they helped me decide what services would best suit my needs. Manicures are usually out for me because I work with my hands, but they offer a service with a shellac treatment that is said to last up to two weeks with no chips or scuffs; during my brief wait, another woman came in who had this treatment on her nails, and she said that she'd liked it quite a bit and was actually in to have her colour changed. I went for a basic manicure with no polish, but might try the shellac in the future. The pedicure was AMAZING. Seriously. CAPSLOCK GOOD. Start with a cup of hot tea to sip while you're in the chair, stack a colour-changing whirlpool foot tub on top of that, and finish the whole thing with a massaging chair! That's right -- massage chair with a controller so you can set it to your heart's content. And then a foot/leg scrub and massage! And a light hand massage during the manicure, along with a brief shoulder massage! My husband is a massage therapist so I'm choosy about my massage, but let me assure you that I felt like melted butter when it was all over. So relaxing! The grooming part of the pedicure was very well-done, with my nails perfectly shaped, cuticles painlessly trimmed and the dry areas of skin buffed away; the manicure left my nails mirror-shiny and looking far more like a professional than my usual artist-messy self! Now, I am terrible with names so I can't tell you the name of the fantastic nail tech I was privileged to have, but I can tell you that she only works Sundays so now you know what day to go! She did a great job at making me comfortable, helping me choose a service and explaining what she was doing with each process. The entire staff seemed to work well together, which always makes for a smoothly running business. Another thing that stood out was the number of regulars who came in while I was there -- I think I was the only non-regular in there that day, and that says a lot about the standard of quality. After finally getting in (it took a couple of weeks and several phone calls), these are my thoughts: considering the near inability to walk in and be seen in combination with the very high prices, I won't be coming back. The service and quality were exceptional. The owners were friendly, intelligent, and thoughtful. Unfortunately, they book so quickly that getting an appointment that works with your schedule requires booking far in advance. The space is small/tight and they are always, always busy. Also, they are priced higher than many other area salons. Given the price point, I'd expect more. read more
