We went to the buffet at dinner time. It was busy, the staff was quick to clean up your table and making sure your drink is filled. The food looks fresh and presentable during dinner rush, you can tell they keep up with the food and make sure it doesn't go bad. The ambiance is family friendly and modern look for a buffet setting.

This is actually the best china buffet (food quality) on the south and westside BUT price is on the high side! It's a traditional China buffet type of ambience. Everything was very well prepared and the hibachi bar was very good! It's comparable to Yummy Bowl where you pick your own meats, veggies and sauces. We came in on a Saturday around 6PM and there was no wait. I noticed that food was immediately filled back up as soon as it was getting low. I definitely appreciated it because other buffets do not pay as close attention and you're stuck asking and waiting. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The seafood was good and especially salt and pepper prawn (with shells) was close to perfect and very similar to The Journey. I do look forward to rice krispie treats at buffets for my dessert and banana pudding when I go to a buffet. **The Rice Krispie treat somehow had a ton of butter on the outside of it and I actually had to spit it out*. It was very gross!!!! The banana pudding was good though. Considering everything I've said (mostly good) they need to knock a little off the pricing though! With just having water for drinks, 2 buffets with tax and tip it was near $ 50!

One of the better buffets I've had in Indy. I was there around 2 on a Friday. Service was pretty attentive: they cleared plates regularly and made sure our drinks stayed topped off. The buffet itself was very good, but not excellent. One think I noticed was a real sense of restraint with the seasoning. The miso soup was really good and lacked the super sodium content you find at other buffets. The coconut shrimp was lightly coated instead of swimming in sauce. General Tsos was tasty but lacked the crispiness on the outside. They had rice Krispy treats as part of the dessert. I hate to say they were super dry with hardly any marshmallow coating. (Yeah, yeah, I know, it's an American thing, but come on) Most of the buffet fare was really good, but for me, lacked a strong hand with the seasoning. The two stars for me was the hibachi grill and the sushi. You had your choice of 4 proteins (beef, chicken, shrimp and egg) then a mix of lo mein noodles and veggies to throw in. They also had 3 sauces to mix in and a variety of seasonings thrown in, if you want them. Nothing like a plate of made to order Chinese food hot off the grill. The sushi had a nice variety without going over the top. Although it's very simple, the Inari sushi really stood out to me with its simple dressing of a little seaweed and shaved carrot. Overall one of my better asian buffet experiences in Indy. Good solid 4 stars out of 5.

This place just opened last month and is a very nice place. This place has a Hibachi grill, sushi, soup, Chinese dishes along with many seafood dishes. Dinner prices are $19 which is good for all of the seafood dishes available; like frog legs, raw claws & cooked ones, crab meat & legs. Very tasty.

Oh my gosh, the food is wonderful great atmosphere very clean. I just hope it stays this way. I think it's a fairly new place, but my gosh, I cannot brag about the food enough.!

They are pretty fast the place is clean they have a buffet that my husband loves he says is very good reasonable for the price food tastes fresh and it's clean. I'm extremely picky with what I eat I don't do too much spicy so I have a hard time dealing with the foods I pick to eat, but monk had some fish that they made for me and it was delicious not greasy and overcooked it wasn't spicy at all. We try to go to monks once a month because the food can get pretty heavy In your body but we love this place I really recommend this place more than others.

Still one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the greater Indy region. 3/5 stars however because the food was lukewarm and did not seem well-maintained. Despite the good assortment of options to choose from, the buffet didn't seem as clean as I would have liked. If you don't mind these things it's definitely good bang for your buck. My recommendation is to order regular entrees for dinner though. Not sure if it's a different chef or manager during those times but this was my husband's consensus as well. We both have ordered takeout here countless times but decided not to return for the buffet. We like our food hot and fresh and will pay the premium for that in the future. They didn't have palak paneer or paneer tikka masala for brunch either which are what I typically eat.

This place is great for groups. We were seated in a booth and we were greeted by our server right away. He did a great job of explaining the different options of what to order. The food was excellent! The hot bar & vegetable/salad bar were excellent! They had of bunch of different "appetizer" type options on the hot bar. However there was so much food with the KBbq that we were actually disappointed that we wasted stomach space on the hot bar (eventhough the food was good!). The hot pot was great & the broth had such great flavor. The KBbq was amazing! We really loved all the different cuts of meat for the grill! The short ribs were a fav & there's more than enough food for the table so everyone leaves more than full! It's also great that eventhough this place is busy & set up well for groups, it's not overly loud so you can still carry on a normal volume level conversation with others at your table! Ktown is a favorite for sure!

There are carnival type games and other distractions to pass the time. When seated your table has a large stove surface in the middle where you will either be doing BBQ or hot pot cooking. The menu is straightforward and easy to choose your option. The whole table has to choose the same option (BBQ or hot pot) so discussion might be helpful before the waiter arrives. Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!

I love Fogo de Chao, but had never been to this location in Indianapolis. Of all the FdC that I have visited, I have to say this place had the best service by far. The waitstaff and the person whom I assume was the manager were always asking if we needed anything, and if everything was ok. I got nice thick cuts of meat every time. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures because I was so hungry and excited to eat, but my friend got the salmon and enjoyed it (pictured below). The meats were grilled really well. The char on the outside was perfection. The salad bar had a lot of choices, and everything was tasty. I'm going to have to stop by here whenever I'm in town for business.

The hostesses, all four of them, were rude and condescending. They tried ignoring my party of four. When we did get seated our server was bizarre, I don't know if they were on drugs or what. Like, notably strange. The churrasco was okay. The salad bar seemed like someone was making sure it didn't run empty. There was nothing really fun or relaxing, my friend wanted filet and had to ask 4 times before a pretty grumpy guy brought it around. We weren't even sure it was the proper cut because of the amount of fat on it. Maybe something else they were trying to pass off. After the first few carvers came by there was a good 15 minute lull where we saw nobody but the bussers, with empty drinks sitting at our table. Took forever to have our waitress come back to cash us out, after we had basically just given up on trying to eat anymore. We just wanted to leave. I might go to another Fogo de Chao in like, another location. All of my complaints here seem to stem from incompetent manager and deficient training. In my opinion this place is only open because it's a stone's throw from several hotels. You can spend your time and money better at any of the nearby steakhouses.
