I got to attend a *very* fancy dinner at Dean's Steak & Seafood in Indianapolis last month, and the experience was superb! The table started the meal with the Seafood Plateau - two levels of chilled seafood, with gigantic shrimp, alaskan king crab legs, raw oysters, lobster cocktail, with a dry ice presentation, of course. Fantastic - tender and sweet shrimp and crab legs, and briny oysters with bright cocktail sauce. I had the filet and shared sides of gigantic onion rings and sauteed mushrooms with the table. The filet was cooked really nice, and well-seasoned, and the mushrooms added an earthy flavor to the meal. And of course, the huge onion rings were a crispy delight. Thank you Dean's for a fantastic experience. I won't be forgetting this meal for awhile.

I got a chance to dine at Dean's for a good friend's birthday. This was my first visit and the service and ambiance alone exceeded my expectations. The staff were so attentive and helpful. They made sure we all had a great experience. I ended up getting the bass and it was very yummy. It was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. I could also tell that it was fresh. You can't go wrong with choosing the asparagus as a side either. I will definitely be back to try their steak!

You pay for what you get and what you get is absolutely perfection, i got the barrel streak and the Oaxaca cocktail and it was really smooth it pared so well with the steak, i always get a cesar salad to start and that too was supper delish. If im ever visiting Indianapolis i will definitely dine here again. Cherry on top in my opinion is the service. The staff were so nice understanding and respectful. The ambiance was excellent so fancy and relaxed in a way where no table was to close to accidentally bump into other patrons. Overall exceptional

I had a great time dining at Dean's with friends. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well. It's conveniently located inside the JW Marriott, and the complimentary valet is a big plus--I wouldn't have known where to park otherwise. We ordered several appetizers. The standout for me was the crab cake--plenty of plump, well-seasoned crab meat. The bread was a bit on the salty side, so just a heads-up. The Madagascar shrimp seemed slightly overcooked, but the escargot-style dish was delicious and something I would definitely order again. The Oysters Rockefeller are very spinach-forward--perfect for spinach lovers. The lobster bisque had good flavor but was surprisingly thin, almost watery. For my entrée, I had the Dean's-style steak. It was slightly overcooked for a requested medium, but still tasted good. Pricing is on the higher end, which is expected for a restaurant inside the JW. The space has a beautiful Roaring '20s-inspired design and a lively atmosphere. The music is loud, so conversation gets loud too--better for a fun group outing than a quiet date night. Overall, there are some clear areas for improvement, but I'm hopeful those will come as the restaurant gains more experience. I'd definitely return to see how they continue to evolve.

Dean's Steak & Seafood inside the JW Marriott exceeded every expectation. From valet and coat check to the overall service, every detail feels intentional and elevated. Pro tip if you're going to a Colts game: park here, go to the game, then come back for dinner and grab your car after. Free valet and zero stress. The cocktails were great. I ordered the spritz, but I'd recommend the espresso martini if you're choosing. We started with the crab cake, Caesar salad, and the complimentary bread which was hands down the best bread I've ever had. For dinner, we ordered & split the Wagyu, lobster mac, au gratin potatoes, and the table-side baked Alaska. Everything was incredible, especially the steak and lobster mac. Next time I'd skip the au gratin and swap for the whipped potatoes...just personal preference. Now for the real MVP: Deirdre. She was phenomenal. Knowledgeable, incredibly kind, attentive without being overbearing, and truly elevated the entire experience. She checked on us consistently, accommodated every request with a smile, and even split our shared dishes onto separate plates without us having to ask. Service like hers is rare, and she is a huge reason we'll be back. If you're looking for luxury dining in Indy, Dean's is it and if you can, ask for Deirdre

I had 8 of my good friends meet me at Dean's for my birthday celebration. Starting with parking- Dean's will valet your car if you eat at the restaurant. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the door and directed to the check in. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The service was great. The ambiance was dim and romantic. There were some hiccups with the some of the meals, but I wrall it was a great experience Can't wait to return!

Are you kidding me? This place was AMAZING!!! Our server, Cassy, really made it such a fun and special event. I cannot say enough nice things about her!! The service was the best I've ever had at any restaurant. The food was so good too. Highly recommend this place!!!

Last night my family and I got to try the new restaurant that opened not too long ago and it was an experience. Now I will say make sure you go with some money honey but I will definitely be back. When you walk in, it's dim lighting and very well decorated. They had a raw bar you could sit at on top of an actual bar at the front. We were greeted by very friendly staff. They were helpful and with quick service. Very polite. The music was a vibe all night and they had this back room that seats like 50 people at this big long table. You can hire a personal bartender for your events and it's completely tucked away from everyone else. The tables have these little touch lights where you can control your own tone of lighting. The food was delicious. Hats off to the chefs. Everyone at the table ordered something different and it all looked good. My dad ordered crab cakes to start off with and it was amazing. My sister ordered the lobster bisque and it hit the spot. The flavor was amazing. It was smooth and silky. For my starter I got the oyster rockerfeller and those were to die for. Now for my entree I got the Salmon Welllington and it came with asparagus on the bottom with a green yogurt sauce. On the inside it hade the salmon and spinach all wrapped in a puff pastry. That was the best one I have ever had. Gotta go back and get that again. All and all the experience was a 10/10 and I will definitely be going back.

Great service! Free valet. Beautiful inside. I really liked the host! She was so kind and sweet. She kept checking in on us. Very intimate. Our server diedra was great too. Since we were a few minutes early we got a drink at the bar before being seated. $37 for 2 whiskeys on the rocks. The bread is delicious with that butter! Had some west coast oysters to start. The sauces came in a unique dropper that was nice and less messy than a spoon. Now for our steaks, we ordered the repeal and deans style 8oz filets. They said they are out of the 8oz and that they only had 10oz and we'd have to pay an upcharge for them. This was about 9pm sat, 8th day of being open. We really wanted the filets but didn't want to pay extra because its not our fault they are out and they r already over $80. They came back and said they would not charge extra for it. Great. Our steaks came out over done but still edible. They comped the dessert for us because of this. We also ordered another round of drinks and a glass of wine. The baked Alaska is a great dessert imo. The presentation is cool too. I can never find it anywhere so I had to get it. The bread pudding was also good but I'm really glad I got the baked alaska. After all this our bill was $300.

The customer service was incredible, the vibes were immaculate, and the food was delicious. We actually loved the starters more than our mains. The oysters and crab cake were incredible. The bread was the best bread I have ever had. The pasta and salmon were good but if we go back I think we will stick with starters to share and try something else like their soup or salad!! Really loved my experience here.

The restaurant within the JW is gorgeous. The mood is dark, elegant, and cozy. That was mostly where the success ends. While our server was kind and attentive, he started the interaction with a lengthy nearly 3 or 4 minute speech detailing nearly everything on the menu. The rehearsed speech should he ditched by their team and trainers immediately. After that the food just didnt live up to the price in any way. The wedge salad was somehow void of blue cheese and we had to ask for extra dressing. The lobster bisque was a highlight of the meal. Salmon wellington was dry and mostly flavorless, this was such a disappointment because I'd recently had this dish at another restaurant and it was fantastic. The chicken was also dry and the lobster mac and cheese was incredibly salty. Overall, I wanted this to be so good, especially with the high price tag, but it misses the mark.

Amazing...INCREDIBLE...Out of this World! Cannot recommend enough!! Vibe was on point..FOOD was AMAZING! Flavor UNMATCHED! Service...Well...TOP NOTCH! Demani was our service...he was the BEST EVER!!

Brush Creek Bourbon Bread Pudding - delicious!

We had a lovely time here! We couldn't believe they'd only been open under a week at the time. :) Mark was a lovely host - giving us leave to relax in the bar lobby area and coming to find us once our table was ready, and Ashley was an excellent server - they were so patient and gracious with explaining the menu, and so very attentive, and everything tasted delicious! We ate up the following: Lobster Bisque, French Onion Soup, Steak Tartare, the delicious house bread, Dean's Style Steak with Bone Marrow, Crab Cakes, Billionaire's Potato, Broiled Oyster, NY Cheesecake, and Bourbon Bread Pudding! Would definitely come here again!

Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

They were very generous with the chocolate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream prevent chocolate overload - it was decadent and delicious Be warned that all of the portions seemed generous This is heaven for dessert lovers

In my first experience they wouldn't allow me to change the chocolate from milk to dark in the dubai cup, but this time they allowed it. I shared the dubai cup and triple chocolate crepe with a friend. The price is $$ in my opinion but I feel like you are paying for the experience. The menu is extensive so there are a lot of options, one might even say, too many options. Since we visited around 8:45 pm there was no line and we had a lot of time to ask about their offerings. The person working the register was kind and handled our questions with ease. We sat at a table with our number stand and then we were served. It wasn't that our desserts were bad they just were a lot for two people. Talk about sugar rush!! What we did end up eating was tasty and seemed very fresh. I love this concept and hope more people venture out to check it out. The vibe is very chill and there a chairs and tables plus couches if you want a different experience. Be warned you will be filled to the brim with chocolate but who says that's a bad thing.

Whoever you are... thank you. You changed my life. The sweet woman behind the counter heard where I was from and handed me a complimentary glazed yeast donut. Let me tell you... WHEW! It wasn't even fresh out of the oven, and it still melted in my mouth. Light, soft, perfectly glazed... I knew right then I was in trouble. I ended up buying a box with blueberry cake, applesauce cake, cinnamon sugar, Bavarian cream, glazed yeast, and a few others. Everything was incredibly fresh, and at those prices, I had to double-check the menu because I thought I was reading it wrong! When I got back to my parents' house in Louisville, we warmed a few up for just a few seconds. Game over. They somehow tasted even better. My plan was to take some to church tomorrow to share... but judging by how fast they're disappearing, I may be testifying about them instead. Before I left, the woman smiled and said, "Make sure you come back when you're in town." Oh, I'll be back. I may even create reasons to drive through Indianapolis now. Long's Bakery doesn't need fancy displays or trendy flavors. They simply make outstanding donuts with friendly service and prices that make you wonder if they accidentally forgot inflation. 10/10. Worth every mile of the detour.

They are famous for their warm yeast donuts, however my favorite has to be the blueberry. What a delight! It's flavorful and the texture just melts in your mouth. If you've never been, note that the lines can be long, but everybody in line is typically friendly. Also, cash only, so be prepared to pull some money out the bank!
