I smashed my 1TB external hard drive that had everything I needed on it. I made a few calls and their prices were right in line with all the out of state "mail me your hard drive" companies, but were right here in town. Max and Qubex are so wonderful! I am new to the area and have never needed data recovery before, so I was pretty clueless about what to do when my 5-year-old MacBook decided to give up on life. I was ironically just prepping for a long overdue backup at the very moment it crashed...never to power on again. (Totally my fault for not being better with backups - lesson learned.) My first stop was the Apple Store, but while they said they could probably restore my computer (not my goal), they didn't give me good odds for recovering any of the data. The guy at Apple said that if the data was my priority, I should take the computer to a data recovery company, but that it can get expensive. Oh geez! I was not excited to proceed with this. Qubex Data Recovery is Awesome! Don't let the small front office fool you, these guys have the skills and equipment to recover your data! I first went to an "Other" establishment with my wife's bad Lenovo SSD drive and they said the drive couldn't be read, but they could recover the data for $800. Qubex was one of the few places that let me bring a SSD drive in to check its readability, and I called around to at least 6 other shops (wanting $600 - $1700 deposits to read the SSD). Max first attempted to read the mSATA in one of his laptops, and it was unreadable. He later connected it to one of his servers and was able to see all the data on the drive! He let my wife and me verify the data we needed off the drive and moved all on to a portable drive for us, at a substantially lower price than the other companies would have charged! I hope I never have to use Qubex for data recovery again, but it's great knowing such an awesome company is out there to help in the event of that kind of problem occurs again. QUEBEX Data Recovery is a literally a LIFE SAVER! Before contacting QUEBEX, I took my hard drive to a couple local data recovery company's here in Colorado Springs. I was told there was no possible way they could recover any data due to the internal head being completely broken limiting their ability to even read the drive. I cannot say enough good about the work that Max did to save my data. When my USB Flash Drive just stopped working, I was at a total loss about what to do. I went to Micro Center and they referred me to a computer lab that quoted an outrageous price for the recovery.
