Ahh NYC, I can always count on this amazing city to take care of my vegan cravings---there's something in every neighborhood! When I was in the UES this past Sunday, and it was FREEZING outside (probably because of my vicinity to the water). Lucky for me, Quantum Leap was not too far from where I was! The inside was small and cozy, and there was a lady who immediately greeted me and got me a menu. The menu was packed with all sorts of mouth-watering options, so it took me a while to finally "settle" for the "buffalo chicken bomber" - the vegan take on the spicy chicken classic. I also got some hot tea for some hydration that was temperature-appropriate. My sandwich was the perfect size---not to big, but packed with flavor. There was plenty of spicy sauce to go around. The "chicken" was perfectly battered and there was also a strip or two of "bacon". If I lived in the UES, I would definitely be stopping in here more often! I appreciated the comfy space and hospitality of the staff as much as I did the food!

Quantum Leap is heavenly in taste, flavor and savory taste. Simply put, Quantum Leap food soars above greatness in taste and deliciousness

Quantum Leap is heavenly in taste, flavor and savory seasonings. Simply put, Quantum Leap cuisine is based in vegan, fish & chicken. It's an excellent way to allow your palate to lose control from salivating in wait eager to delve into goodness. Every time I visit Quantum Leap, the warm and welcoming atmosphere engulfs me to feel right at home. It's one of New York's favorite and finest Vegetarian Restaurants on the UES. Quantum Leap is #1 in Vegan, Fish & Chicken Cuisine.

Crispy Honey Garlic BBQ Vegan Buns (2)

Wow! We found this place as a last-minute dinner stop after spending the evening shopping in the area. The menu looked great, especially since it is FILLED with many vegan and vegetarian options, so we decided to give it a try. First of all, this place is so quaint and cute! It's small, but feels cozy. Eclectic decor and sweet, soothing music. Overall great vibes! My husband and I ordered the Crispy Honey Garlic BBQ Buns, the Vegan Buffalo Wild Wings and the Blackout Chocolate Mouse Cake to share (all of which are vegan). EVERYTHING we ordered was absolutely delicious! The buns were a satisfying combination of crunchy and soft with a savory flavor. And vegan wings had a "bone" in them!!! The "bone" was a wooden skewer, but it simulated what a bone-in chicken wing would be like...except no meat involved. Such a wonderful treat for us as we used to love eating wings before we gave up meat. The flavor was also delectable! The cake was (dare I say) moist, saucy and decadent. We ate every last bite, including the berries that were plated next to it, in record-breaking time. Lastly, the service was impeccable! Our water glasses never went less than half full. I dirtied up my napkin from the wings (whoops!) and sometime between taking the old plates and bringing out the dessert plate my napkin was magically switched with a fresh one. These are just a few of the ways that our server made sure to take care of us. We will DEFINITELY be back! Especially when we're craving some wings.

Cute spot with great music and food! Went with three in our lunch date. I had the tofu curry stew and it was amazing! The tofu, carrots, coconut milk and other seasonings were perfectly blended for a complete meal. The lentil rice was the perfect side to accompany this stew. One friend had the salmon with garlic, brown rice and veggies. The loved it all! The friend that suggested it ha the Katzu chicken with a side salad and they were pleased with everything that they have eaten from here. On a winter's day we all opted for the hot green tea. They also do have beer, wine and prosecco available! I WILL return!

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and the price of the lunch specials. $15. Wow! I will be back to try a few vegan options soon and will add to this review. The owner is a sweetheart

Apple Pie Vegan Pancakes, Scrambled Tofu, Tempeh Bacon

Amazing! Dined here for a solo birthday breakfast, and each part of this meal was perfect. The apple pie pancakes were so warm and well-portioned, the scrambled tofu was packed with texture and the tempeh bacon was shockingly flavorful. The environment was also so calming and delightful.

Probably the best sweet potato fries in NYC, and the best fish tacos we have had Anywhere, Ever. My kid loved the vegan hot dog too, so they have got things figured out here. On suggestion: for the chocolate bean butter shake, substitute a frozen ripe banana for the ice chunks. Ice was clogging the straws

Vegan Brunch!

Beautiful, flavorful food, served with mellow cheer in a warm and cozy space. Just a wonderful place with lovely service. Both I & my vegan wife leave cooing and happy every time! Too many excellent items to name everything, so will cite their brunch & desserts in particular as knock-your-socks-off fabulous. Huge, fluffy pancakes, any number of different combinations meats & eggs (farm or vegan), and a rotating list of seasonal specialties for desserts - pies to tarts to all sorts of other goodies. (the fall pumpkin specialties are particular faves!). Has also been a go-to for "occasion" dinners, & the occasional casual night out. Give Quantum Leap a try, and see if it doesn't become a favorite of your own. Cheers!

Sad sad reason for visiting, but the food warmed our hearts. Was looking for a vegetarian place while my dog was in the ICU at AMC. It was a short walk in the rain, but the food was amazing. I had the satay skewers plate which tasted just like chicken satay. The sauce was divine, and it was very filling. Steamed vegetables were great too. Partner had the happy Buddha bowl and he devoured the whole thing. He's not vegetarian, and still loved the fried tempeh. Would definitely stop here again if I was in the area.

VEGAN SUMMER ROLLS

We came here for dinner the other day and this place was a great find! I really loved this place. The interior is small, so it isn't the best for large groups. However, they can still accommodate groups of 6-8 people. The menu is very vegetarian friendly and the food is fantastic. You won't miss the meat at all. Some of our favorite dishes: Philadelphia Cheese"steak" - not quite as savory as traditional cheesesteak. There is a sweeter BBQ component mixed into this. All in all divine Summer Rolls - amazing, fresh and ready for the summer. The lychee lemonade was also incredible! IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

I accidentally found this gem. This place is small if you blink you might miss it and that would be unfortunate. It has that nice comfy home feeling. Service is prompt and the servicer was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. As you can see, I started eating the dessert before I took the picture. I was almost finished before I realize I hadn't taken a picture. Will revisit.

They had a menu of curated salads and bowls but you also had the ability to create your own. Everything looked and smelled very fresh and the restaurant itself looked bright, fun and eclectic. The service was very friendly and we were assisted and guided promptly. There were so many interesting sounding menu items so it was a struggle in deciding what to order! I ended up opting for the burrito chipotle bowl as the sound of jackfruit and guacamole together just sounded amazing! The food was prepared quickly and we were able to find a table as there were ample ones available. The seating was comfortable and we indulged in our food. I loved how well seasoned everything was in my dish and the spiced beans, rice, jackfruit and guacamole all melded together quite nicely. I left feeling uplifted and my family also thoroughly enjoyed their meals, with my cousin raving about the superb texture of her falafel. We got some cookies to go and those ended up being nice and soft and indulgent and not overly sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a restaurant that is healthy and conveniently located to many great NYC sites! I love how there's something for everyone too!

A Hidden Gem That Completely Changed My Perspective on Vegan Food…read more Yesterday was my first visit to Le Botaniste, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The storefront and fresh drinks first caught my attention, so I thought it was mostly a juice or beverage spot. The moment I walked inside, I realized it was so much more. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and everything looked incredibly fresh. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service from Alan. He welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge and enthusiasm made choosing our meals easy. Alan recommended their most popular bowl, the Pasta Bolognese, and mentioned it was also his personal favorite. After just one bite, I understood why. It was rich, hearty, full of flavor, and if no one had told me it was vegan, I never would have guessed. It has officially become one of my favorite plant-based meals. For my mother, Alan recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Bowl, and it was another excellent choice. I asked her if she enjoyed it, and her response was simple: "Yes... and I want more." That pretty much says it all. The drinks were also fresh, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meals. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. Even if you're not vegan, don't let that stop you from trying this place. Le Botaniste proves that plant-based food can be comforting, satisfying, and packed with incredible flavor. A huge thank you to Alan for making our first visit such a memorable one. Great food is important, but great hospitality makes people want to come back. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

If you didn't know, this is a Mexican restaurant with a full vegan menu. We shared a plate of plantain that came on a delicious later of black bean puree. We also got chips and mango salsa ... That's really a great salsa! For the main course, I decided to get the pescado and al pastor chicken tacos. I have never had the al pastor profile with 'chicken' before, so that was interesting. I enjoyed both tacos, and I think the al pastor was my favorite. I got the churros for the dessert, and the presentation was so cool, but I have to admit I did not love them. They tasted way too fried, if that makes sense. My sister got the chocolate chili tart ... It had stunning presentation, and ... It really was delicious! That would be my first choice next time.
