I don't usually like to complain, especially knowing how hard it is for small businesses right now. But I believe in supporting places that take pride in good service. I came in alone for a late lunch, and the restaurant only had about two tables occupied. When I walked in and sat down, no one greeted me. Another customer had to tell the staff that I was there. When the lady came out, she didn't walk over to my table or offer a menu or drinks. She just stood there and waited for me to speak, which was confusing. Since I didn't receive a menu, I ordered what I assumed was their specialty -- a duck salad with vermicelli soup. My table was dirty, so I asked if it could be wiped, but it wasn't cleaned. When the food arrived, there was an unpleasant smell, and I wasn't sure if that was normal. No water was offered still. I ate quickly and asked for a to-go box. I had to walk to the cashier to ask for one, and I was pointed to the bags and boxes and expected to grab everything myself. I still left a tip, but honestly, the overall experience was disappointing. Running a restaurant is a service business, and basic hospitality really matters. I hope the owner reads this and makes some improvements. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning.

Food: Steamed Duck Salad | Bamboo Glass Noodle Soup Price: $17 | $7(?) Overall: Came here for family dinner on a Saturday before closing. We ordered all the Duck Salad and they ran out after that. The salad was refreshing, bright, and acid which pair well with the sweet fish sauce that came with it. It also rained that day so the Glass Noodle Soup was comforting. FYI, this is a cash only place!

Quan vit vit vit has been my family's favorite restaurant in Westminster recently. It's our go-to spot for Bún Măng Gỏi Vị (Bamboo Noodle Soup with Duck Salad) and no one does it better. If you love duck and just want to experience one of the best Vietnamese comfort meals, this place is a must-try. My dad told me, "Quan" means "restaurant" and "vit" means duck. When you repeat "vit vit vit" meaning "duck duck duck" emphasizes that this place specializes in duck dishes and goodness they absolutely nail it! For just $17, you get an incredibly generous portion - a huge bowl of flavorful bamboo noodle soup and a delicious Vietnamese duck salad. The soup itself is rich, with a bamboo-infused broth that is so umami. The noodle texture is perfectly paired and it coats the broth very well. The bamboo is soaked for a long period of time so its very soft but just the right amount of crunch. The duck salad that is paired is my favorite. The duck is sliced, tossed in a tangy, slightly sweet fish sauce dressing, and mixed with fresh herbs, crunchy cabbage, and crispy shallots. It's light yet so satisfying. The combination with the noodle soup makes it the ultimate meal. My family and I crave this place all the time, especially my dad who introduced this place to my mom and I. Every time we come, we always order at least two portions - sometimes even an extra one to take home because it's just THAT good. The service here is friendly and quick, and while it gets busy, the food is always worth it. If you're in Westminster or even want to drive out here, it's the best place to be to get Bún Măng Gỏi Vị - this is the spot!

CASH ONLY Small cozy eatery where the menu is limited to mostly variety of duck dishes & small option for checken dishes. Most dishes include duck salad (Vietnamese coleslaw), which portion is reasonable. I enjoyed the delicious meal. Of course it's an Asian eatery so service is not the same as the American eatery. If food is good then service doesn't matter much. Good food is primary & service is secondary.

Good news, it's still 5 stars for me, after paying close to $190 for our meals and I was unable to eat in many of the recent restaurants, It's a breath of fresh air to go back to a good restaurant w a humble owner. The owner does not speak English so it was frustrating for my husband to order but the son is there now and it's no longer a problem. Their signature dish was the fried duck soup. it was so so delicious, I know it's bad for my cholesterol but the heck w it, I live to eat now after a lifetime of eating 100% healthy, I never even took my kids to taco bell or KFC, I took them maybe twice a year to Burger king. The duck was marinated to perfection and so tender, I won't lose any teeth eating the duck here! the ducks all fly, NO CHEWY WALKING DUCKS HERE, LOL! the broth was good and it came w bok choy also well cooked, I'm tired of chewy veggies, chewy meats and out of a can broth. This place gives you an authentic menu of Vietnamese noodles w good sauces. The duck salad used to come w a special vinegary dressing, they discontinue that, now it's a fish based sauce, it's still good, the soup also comes w a nice papaya carrot side, it's like in Saigon. They of course have the boiled duck alternative which is lower calories, I usually order the combo w cole slaw, it comes w a ginger fish sauce. They are not social media savvy, no ads on Instagram, it's ridiculous some of the worst offender, come back to see which one, they have great IG ads but the food was 2 stars! Come here for an authentic meal at a reasonable price.

This is the best Bun Vit Sao Mang in OC. The portion is generous. The flavors are good. Service is a little slow because it was only one lady. Truly mom and pop restaurant. I ordered the Vermicelli duck bamboo with the cabbage salad. This dish is not for everyone. If you like bamboo shoots, yes. Otherwise, the smell is a little pungent. It's just a simple restaurant, but it's hard to find this dish anywhere.

Opening times are not accurate. The restaurant has two signs on their windows - one says 9am-9pm hours and the other one says 10am-7:30pm. They should update both signs - we got there at 10am and the owner said shes not opening until 10:30am. Ordered mien vit. Soup portion got smaller but the goi vit was huge still. Cash only. Very limited parking right now because of construction

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!
