Great repairs at a very reasonable price. I run a maids company with 6 cars and we bring them all to Gary!

Once you get in line and someone gets in behind you there isn't a way out. You'll be blocked in (theres a single line that wraps around the building then then splits into two but the only way out once someone gets in line behind you is through) so be ready for that. After waiting an hour in line in my car - there is no lobby or seating at all I had to use the bathroom and they jokingly said "$5" but it really didn't seem like a joke. Had I said yes they acually would ahve taken money from me. It was more forceful and honey pissed me off. We jsut moved and in our previous state that kind of thing is illigal. I'm not sure if it is in FL but it should be. The bathroom was however filthy once I did get in. Then they were all a little too comfortable with me (single white petite female) for my personal taste. (lots of mama, pretty girl, etc) there was a long line of cars on both booths so I know I was in fact safe but I do not like that kind of thing. Lastly, after supplying my own oil and filter it cost me $62...I have never paid that in my life. Apparently there is a permanent coupon on line for $25 but I was in a rush and had never been here so I didn;t know. So no I won't be back and neither should you

With true disappoint from previous places, we were a little nervous to find someone new. We had heard Great things about this place, so decided to give it a whirl. While I was only coming for a routine oil change, the staff got me in relatively quickly and the value was on it was perfect. They were personable, knowledgeable, and quick to communicate once it was finished. We had such a great experience that we even made an appointment for my husband to get service done with them next week! Highly recommend this business in Ocoee for any of your vehicle needs.

We've been going here for years, and let me tell you -- if you don't have an auto guy yet, congratulations. You do now. Eric is that guy. The kind of person you recommend up, down, left, right, and diagonally across a chess board 1000 times over. He's incredibly easy to talk to, never talks down to you, and actually listens to what's going on with your car. And the best part? He's honest. Transparent. Straight-shooter. A unicorn in a world of confusing diagnostics and upsells. Today, I managed to snag a rare afternoon appointment (Eric's popular, and for good reason). I came in with AC problems. And instead of trying to MacGyver a solution and hand me a sky-high bill, he told me straight up: "This is better handled by a guy I trust." And just like that -- he gave me a recommendation to someone he vouched for. That kind of integrity? That's golden. He and his team were running a little behind, but I never felt like I was waiting long. His lobby is chill, and the whole vibe is efficient and respectful. And I'll be honest -- we haven't really had to pay him for some recent visits. That's how efficient and fair he is. If the car doesn't need work, he'll tell you. He's not in it to squeeze you dry. He's in it to earn your trust, and that's exactly what he's done. Whether it's an oil change or something more serious, he handles everything with care and pride. He's super easy to reach -- call or text, he'll answer. His prices are fair, his hours are solid, and his work is top-notch. If you're in West Orange County and looking for auto service you can rely on -- Advance Automotive of Ocoee is it. Tell Eric Gregory sent you. You'll be in great hands.

I recently inherited a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE with over 255K miles that had been sitting in a Los…read moreAngeles storage warehouse for about 3 years. After driving it around Los Angeles for a few days, my husband felt we should ship it or tow it with a rented truck and car carrier because of its age, mileage and not knowing the car's mechanical and repair history, which makes a lot of common sense but was cost prohibitive. Because of my sense of adventure, I talked him into a one way road trip from LA with the car after promising to have it evaluated with a reputable mechanic once we got home. We drove it to Orlando after buying it a new battery, windshield wipers and got an oil change. I had seen a lot of positive Nextdoor posts about Mike the Mechanic in Winter Garden, so I went there yesterday for a detailed inspection because of things we noticed about the car during the road trip home. When I made the appointment with Brad, he told me to bring him a list of things I thought needed special attention in addition to the general inspection. After doing so when I returned on appointment day and after the mechanic's inspection, Brad sat down with me and patiently explained to me in terms I could understand line by line what all his mechanic said was wrong, including the function of each part, to the point it just didn't make sense to spend any more money on the car, especially since the worst problem was a fuel line leak, which explains the constant smell of gas in the car that I dismissed as accidental gas spill before we took possession. Needless to say I was shocked because we never saw any exterior floor leaks after parking the car wherever we went but somehow miraculously made it home safely by the Grace of God, sometimes driving on I-10 with speeds over 80mph in Texas. All of the other things wrong were fixable but the cost of fixing EVERYTHING would equal the cost of 3 of the same type used car. I've heard so many horror stories about how mechanics take advantage of women, so being an elderly woman I was very impressed and appreciative of Brad's (and the mechanic's) honest assessment because to look at the car and the fact it was driveable for such a long distance on the highways over a week, you would never know so much was wrong. He also suggested that if I am interested in buying a used car, bring it in for an inspection for free before signing on the dotted line. Saying all that to say I won't be using Mike the Mechanic or any other mechanic to work on my unsafe inherited car but will use him for our other cars. HONESTY is their virtue so quality is a given. I recommend calling Brad for an appointment at Mike the Mechanic, (407) 877-3933, 1143 E Plant St Winter Garden, FL 34787.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!!!…read more This shop is not good. They charge a ton for "diagnosing" problems. Which you are on the hook for even if you don't do the work. They claim it's part of being transparent, but was not at all. If they assume you know nothing about cars they will try to take you for whatever they can. Took it in for brake pad change, they charged $90 for "full break system diagnostic" and recommended to change pads and rotors (which I already told them was the issue). Brakes now squeak worse than when I took it in. Plus the ABS light is on (was not going in). So....expensive break job that actually made it worse. More concerning: they severed the ground wire from engine to body. Then they tucked the loose wire away so I wouldn't see it assuming I wouldn't know what it was. Totally unacceptable and dangerous. Pictures of the damage attached.

And now after reading reviews…read moreI think they were the reason why our car broke down only after a month after going there for the first time. Honestly, it was almost funny how insane some of the prices were. They tried to charge us for parts and labor like 3-5 times more than actual BMW dealers do. For example, a part that costs $500 on official BMW websites they told us is $1300, and labor for it was $2000. I really don't know how they come up with these numbers. Another thing, spark plugs that cost like $50 online they wanted $770 for them!! How did they even come up with this!? Plus insane labor price. Please be careful if you decide to take your car here. Do some research before agreeing to anything, because they SHAMELESSLY tried to take advantage of us. And I also regret paying $300 for the diagnostic check. The first time we came they did it for free, and now suddenly it's 300. Overall, not a good experience at all.
