Moisture barrier to keep water out of electrical components. Ripped. You can take a hot knife and remove the shield without ripping it.
Brandon C.

Frankie the owner worked on my 2005 BMW X5. The window regulator was having an issue and the driver window was stuck in the lowered position. I had bought the used car with a little over 120xxx mi about a month back and this happened at the worst time. Rainy season. Since it was getting cold I jumped on the quote of 560$ to replace the regulator and motor after getting the 95$/hr initial inspection fee of the problem. Beforehand they had told me that due to the age of the car or whatever. "some parts may be damaged or get cracked while getting to the problem". Ok so that's a vague all inclusive cya statement if I've ever heard one. I agree and they begin to take off the door panel. After removing taking 1.5 hrs to take off the door panel. I hear that the regulator is busted and needs replacement. It'll be 560 and they need to order the part. I need to leave so I get my ass out of their with a door panel off and short 100$. Not bad, at least now I know the issue and I can get other quotes. They didn't order the part so they just check up the next day to see if I still need the work done. Turns out according to another shop that Frankie manfredonia did more damage than I realized when removing the door panel. I come back after getting it fixed and getting charged additional by the other shop to get my door handle working and the moisture barrier repaired. They take no responsibility and say they'll get back to me after I wait for the owner to talk to me about the damage he caused. My family owns a body shop. If you don't know what your doing with a car, don't take on the job. Simple as that. I've spent a lot of money before at this shop and at least I know I won't be coming back. The shop that ended up being 105$/hr essentially quoted me less for the whole job and didn't mark up the price of the parts as much. Spend the extra $10/hr and don't go cheap with quality auto repair or at least go anywhere else.

If you purchase tires like I did at America's Tire or also known as Discount Tire out side of California, you get free rotation and rebalancing for the life of the tires. Free flat repair as well! I rotate every 7000 miles or so. It does actually even out the tread wear, so you'll get more life out of the tires. Making the appointment was easy and as long as you can plan ahead a little, you can get the time of the day you want too. I just brought my car in at the appointed time and they took me in right away. They first come out to the car and check the tread wear and mileage and stuff. The waiting room is clean and has good places to sit and wait. The WIFI works fine for web browsing and email, but really not fast enough to stream movies or anything like that. I like to sit and write my Yelp reviews while I wait. I watch my car taken into the service bay and two guys go to work on it, almost like a NASCAR pit stop. Up goes the car and bam bam bam, off go the wheels and rolled over to the balancing machine. When the tire techs finish balancing and re bolting on the wheels, they do the final tightening with a torque wrench instead of like a lot of places just blast on the bolts with the air wrench, zap zap zap and done. Using the torque wrench they make sure it's not over tightened, especially if you have to change a tire in an emergency out on the road and it too damn tight! I'm in and out in about 45 minutes, all balanced and rotated for FREE! You can go to any store location no matter which location you purchased your tires. You can't beat that deal!

I stopped by and, free of charge, they filled up the air in my tires and gave me advice on how the tires were looking and when to expect to replace them. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the service was fast, easy, and pleasant! Thank you for making my morning! I don't know much about tires and they made a concerning issue for me so simple.

Last weekend the wife and I went into the this Tire Center and asked about getting my tires rotated because they are overdue and its clear they need to have something done to them. So the lady we spoke to said that she would make an appointment for us today and that we could come in and have them rotated. So after we woke up this morning, we got dressed, left the house and into Les Schwab we went. We were warmly greeted at the front door and after telling the guy that we had an appointment today and that we wanted our tires rotated the guy took my keys and said "Let me go look at your car" And he went outside and did just that. Came back in to the store, looked me right in the face and said "I'm sorry but because your tires are in bad shape, I can't rotate them for you at all, its dangerous." Handed my keys back to me and said "Have a good day" Okay I'm no mechanic but from my point of view the tires didnt look that bad. But as a business, if you are trying to GAIN my business you need to provide me options and not just tell me "Theres nothing that you can do for me and cause me to walk out the door" as if you just punished me for not coming into the business sooner and getting them fixed. So my wife and I left the establishment very saddened by how we were treated and not even giving me an option to look at getting my tires changed, so after breakfast we decided to make our way to a place that we found through a Facebook group called Nor-Cal Tires. We left Nor-Cal Tires very happy and satisfied. Let me be the first to warn you not to do business with this company. This being my first impression with this company and never having to do business with them left a very bad taste in my mouth. To management; You're not doing a very good job trying to get your customers to actually DO Business with you if you have employees who want to push your customers out the door. I normally dont write bad reviews for companies because I like giving people the benefit of the doubt but after having been told "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do for you" in a scolding tone, I wont ever be back. When your tone is scolding me as if I was a child, I wont hold back to give you a bad review.

After a bad experience at Les Schwab Tires, I decided to give Nor-Cal Tire a try because of the…read moregood things I'd heard about them. As soon as I pulled into the lot, I was greeted by a really friendly guy named Sam. I told him about my situation and how Les Schwab refused to rotate my tires, saying they were in "bad shape." Sam said, "Let me take a look at those tires and see what I can do for you but, If you bought tires from there you have to go back there" I then clearly mentioned that the tires I bought were when I bought the vehicle and they hadnt been changed since day 1. After checking them out, he showed me the wear on the outside of the tires and confirmed that what Les Schwab told me was true. But instead of just sending me away, he offered me options. He said, "I can get you used tires or new tires--whichever you'd like." I thought about going with used, but after talking with my wife, we agreed new tires were the better choice since she drives the car every day. Her safety comes first, and I couldn't agree more. What really stood out to me was that Nor-Cal Tire makes it easy to get what you need, even if you don't have the money upfront. They have a program that's 90 days same-as-cash, so you can get your tires right away and make payments directly from your checking account or debit card on the days you choose--like payday. It's simple, and it doesn't create overdraft or banking issues. Sam worked with me and got me set up with four brand-new tires that were mounted and balanced at a great price. I won't share the exact number since I know it varies, but let me just say I left more than satisfied. The brand was one I hadn't heard of before, but honestly, new tires are new tires, and I felt good knowing we'd made the safe choice. Thanks to Sam and the Nor-Cal Tire team, my wife and I are both happy customers. From now on, this is where I'll be taking all of my automotive needs. I'm really glad I found them through a Facebook group. As long as I'm living in Redding, I'll be a loyal Nor-Cal Tire customer.
