They told me they were booked solid, but I had new tires I didn't want to roll on until the next chance I could come down to Redding from Mt. Shasta, so I called back and explained that I knew how touchy my Subaru could be with all wheel drive and damage easily caused by, for example, just buying one new tire. I was told that they'd squeeze me in but that I'd be doing some waiting. I grabbed a book I'd been wanting to read and showed up and only waited 40 worth-it minutes. Redding is lucky to have these guys take care of cars needing alignment-- (I'd never get all new tires without an alignment. . read more

Amazing shop, family owned. Great values and great work done here. Will continue to be my shop of choice for the future. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my car! read more

I take all of our jeeps there. They seem to find the settings nobody else can find! We have taken our lifted Jeeps with oversized tires, and our equipment heavy rides to them. They find the Alignment sweet spot that keeps them going down the road straight! No wrestling with the steering wheel. And a fair price to boot! read more

Car started making weird noises on our road trip. Every mechanic in Redding was booked for the weekend and after being referred to multiple places, one of the mechanics here took a look at it. He was super helpful and great feedback at no charge. Would recommend to anyone. read more

I am INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for Redding Wheel and Brake. I live two hours away from Redding. On an overnight trip, my brakes began to fail. The guys at RWB showed genuine concern for my safety, fixed my car as quickly as they could, even with a delayed part delivery the next day, and even gave me a ride back to my AIR BNB! I will recommend them forever, and may even make a special drive just to have my cars serviced there. These guys are the real deal, friendly, with integrity. GREAT SERVICE! read more

Was driving my car across the Cypress Street bridge and suddenly there was a nasty screeching sound coming from a passenger-side wheel. I thought, "Oh man, this is going to be expensive." By providence I ended up taking the car to Redding Wheel and Brake, and Jeff was able to look at it right away. He sent us to a nearby spot for lunch while he did the diagnosis. On coming back, he smiled and dropped a small rock into my hand--the cause of the problem. "No charge," he said. This is as good as it gets. Go see Jeff at RW&B. read more

This is the second time posting my review because they felt the need to get it deleted because they don't wanna be exposed for up charging the heck out of me. Over 2000 for brakes and a wheel bearing and carrier bearing. I'll keep posting until people see they're rip offs read more

These guys are FANTASTIC!!! Called needed a realignment they got me in explained I had another problem, they fixed it and I was out of there by the end of my work day WOW!!! I took my classic Studebaker truck into Redding wheel and brake To install new wheel cylinders and new brake shoes all around. Ir has hydraulic drum brakes all around don't just trust anyone working on it but I know they've dome many classic cars as well as other vehicles. i had friends recommend this place and went in and spoke with Jeff. Set an appointment and took it in and they had it done in a few hours. Jeff and his crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and honest! I am very pleased with the service and so happy to have brakes again, I highly Recommend Redding Wheel and brake and would definately go to them with any other brake repairs needed in the future. If you have a classic car or any other car for that matter needing brakes, this is the place to go. read more

VERY GOOD! Quality work, fast and efficient. It was also quite affordable.

Jeff is just awesome. Was told by dealer and les Shwab I had to change my rotor and brake pads. Took them in and got a quote for replacement and as I was checking the car in, Jeff said he wanted to check the rotors first. Well what do you know, I didn't need a replacement, a refinishing was sufficient but the break pads needed to be changed. He was even able to work with me and get me in and out the same day amidst COVID. Highly recommend this shop! read more

A local European auto shop had told me there was no way they could align my Audi without first replacing the worn control arms and a few other parts... Redding Wheel and Brake had no problem aligning my vehicle though since the control arms still had plenty of life left in them! They did a great job on my Audi and I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else from now on. Equipment and the knowledge to fix German vehicles and a good honest crew. -Jag read more

I went in this morning with no appt. When I walked in Darrin greeted me. I told him what was going on and he was able to get me right in due to a cancellation. He came out and explained what it looked like and what they wanted to do. Very minimal. Jeff talked to me and also made me feel very comfortable. I was so impressed that they didn't charge an arm and a leg for a bunch of unnecessary testing. My brakes seem to be working fine again. read more

I thought my brakes were bad. I literally know NOTHING about cars so I was like okay...time for new brakes. I looked on Yelp and found this place. Dropped my car off and a hour later they called and said I had significant break life left and they do not recommend any changes. Wow! An honest mechanic? Most places would have told me the routers were bad or some nonsense. Going to make sure I bring all my cars here in the future. This place is amazing!!! read more

By far the best place to have your vehicle serviced at! Jeff and his team and kind courteous respectful and most importantly fair and knowledgeable with automotive repair! I would not let anyone else get their hands on my hot rods or daily drivers beside these boys at redding wheel and brake. Give them a try and you won't go anywhere else either guaranteed! Thank you guys !!!! read more

My car needed an alignment and turned out it needed tie rods as well. My mechanic and my mom recommended Jeff & Garen and crew. They did great work at an amazing price. Garen also offered to do the folowup work on my rear brakes but it was under warranty from my primary mechanic so I didn't go back but I would without hesitation. read more

Came in to get my alignment fixed. Thanks to Jeff for taking good care of my car and getting me in and out in no time!

They always treat me with full respect as a lady and never over charge me. I feel good going to them when I have something that needs repaired. I've had my car here several times and always get it back in great shape! Customer for life! read more

My breaks were squeeking and I didn't know where to take them since I am relatively new to Redding. I found Redding Wheel & Brake on Yelp and found nothing but great reviews. I took my car in and was given a free break inspection. The breaks didn't need replacing. Wow, when I do need breaks I will come back here. I was totally impressed, Jeff was personable and polite and I was treated as though I was a paying customer. Good customer service is so hard to come by these days! read more

How does one guy working mostly by himself expand into a larger shop with several employees, and thrive in today's economy? With honesty, and by treating people fairly, and by often offering more than one option for repairs. I tow a trailer, which is hard on brakes, and I tried one of those chain shops. I was going back every six months. After trying Redding Wheel & Brake, I'm at a year and a half. No brainer. Good folks and good service. read more

I went to redding wheel and brake and had my front end completely rebuilt their estimate was half of what everyone else said it would be to do this job. After completion I needed new tires which took a couple of months to buy after buying them I decided it would be a good idea to check alignment because it was pulling a little bit when I took the truck back they immediately took my truck realigned the front end and did an inspection and found that one of the ball joints needed to be replaced and asked me to bring it back so they can fix it Taking it back with a No Charge under warranty Thank you Redding Wheel and Breaks for being honest and true. read more

I've been going here for years, it's the only place I go. Very trustworthy. Good work, good employees, good prices.

We got the mustang aligned here after we had airbags installed. The were very knowledgable and working quickly and efficiently. The driveway and packing lot is very easy to get in and out of hitch is a plus for that busy street. Car works great! read more

At least one of the workers at Redding Wheel and Brake was knowledgeable of places to take your car to in town for other services such as tires or electrical issues and that is what I've always liked about Redding Wheel and Brake. I think it was 2009 ish when I got brake work done on my 1998 Ford Ranger and the price was decent and I did like their alignment service that in my view was state of the art. If I wasn't living out of the area, I would bring my truck back through for future brake service. read more

Jeff are the team at Redding Wheel & Brake are the best. They have worked on a few cars of mine. I have recommended friends and they enjoyed the same excellent experience. What sold me on this shop was a phone call early one morning when we were due to leave town the next morning. We had a lot of scraping in the rear axle. We didn't know what it was but needed it fixed ASAP. Jeff said bring it in. The rear axle needed quite a few fixes. Knowing that we needed to leave for LA the next morning, he assured me that the guys would stay until it was finished. Around 7pm that night, he called and said it was ready and roadworthy. I can't speak highly enough of their customer service and expertise. Highly, highly recommend!! read more

Highly recommended, had front end issues on my lifted Dodge 4wd, they troubleshot it, quoted me a price, and when I went to pick it up, was told my bill was $400.00 cheaper than the quoted price, because I didn't need a certain part. That's honesty, which goes along way in my book. And most importantly, my issue was fixed. Thanks Garen. read more

I had been referred to another shop by my auto body repair shop. I was hesitant because I had prior excellent service and results at Redding Wheel & Brake. The new shop took a look and told me it would cost me $950 because parts were worn. That did not make sense to me, inasmuch as the previous alignment at Redding Wheel & Brake just 13,000 miles prior showed absolutely no signs of wear. Of course, I passed on the new shop and took it back to Redding Wheel & Brake, which did the alignment for $85 and advised me there were no problems with the undercarriage parts. This was a Land Rover, by the way, so it's obvious they work on just about everything except horse-drawn wagons. read more

While driving down I-5 enroute to Canada one of our wheels started to squeal. We went online and found Redding Brake & Wheel was the best rated brake shop in Redding. Jeff fit us in as soon as we got into town and two hours later we had new pads and turned rotors for a more than reasonable price. During the 1000 mile ride home I had to hammer the brakes a couple of times and we stopped safely. Jeff runs a great shop and does awesome work. read more

These guys are great, they fixed my rotors at an amazing price, way lower than any other quote I got and took the time to really explain what was goimg on with my car, how they were going to fix it and other things they saw that didn't need to be fixed right away. Thiswill definitely be my go to place for all my car needs! read more

This business was recommended to me by 3 other mechanics. I got my car aligned, and they did a great job. Everyone there is a gentleman. They explained everything to me, showed me things about my car, and charged me a VERY competitive price. They have built custom and race cars from the ground up, so they have far more experience than other alignment shops, and years more experience than the automotive departments of any chain or big box store. read more

Jeff @ Redding Wheel & Brake is the best! He squeezed our car into his busy schedule and went the extra mile to get the brakes working properly & get us on the road. He's all about safety & wouldn't release our car until he was positive it was road worthy & safe. His price is reasonable & he passes savings onto the consumer. Thank you Jeff! We'll see you again! read more

What a great shop! So helpful, and timely. The employees are so great and willing to take time to explain the issue!

I'm relatively new to working with Redding W&B. But I have to say I love these guys! I bought a used van recently. All-in-all it was in good shape. But I knew there were some things I'd need to fix. When I brought the van in for alignment, Redding W&B explained they couldn't align it because many of my ball joints were bad. After letting them replace the parts and align the vehicle, I drove it for awhile. The new parts exposed another issue in my van. My steering was now odd... too much play in the steering wheel. Pretty scary at times. So after waiting a bit (thinking it might have something to do with tight ball joints settling in with driving) I brought it back to them (as they asked me to) and I explained what the driving was like. They tried one solution for the new problem and realized it was not the answer. So after more test driving and problem solving Jeff said they would absorb the cost if I'd try something else... a new steering gear box. It wasn't a cheap part, but in the end I'm soooo happy I said yes. It was the answer! My van drives like a new vehicle now! I just love their tenacity to find the solution. They're good automotive detectives. They have integrity. And they're all around nice guys. I totally recommend this shop! You won't be disappointed. :-) read more
