I've don't usually write reviews, but I've felt jipped or had too many bad experiences here to not say something. About a year ago they did some front end suspension work totaling well over $900, which after having done caused a very audible "crunchy" sound in that new front end when going over bumps in the road. I took it back in the next day and after they drove it they simply said "your car is lowered so that's just how it is". Which is crazy because my suspension never produced that sound before the work was done. (It still makes that terrible sound). Fast forward to a few months ago I had a tire going flat consistently, and noticed when going around 65mph that there was quite a bit of vibration in the same wheel well. I took it in and told them that they should drive it and maybe checkout the rim, and the lady at the front scalded me and said "well did you rotate your tires???" "Your tires need to be replaced, that's why..." after getting angry at me, I was charged over $400 for 3 new tires. Upon getting my car back I asked them about the rim, and they assured me that it drove great and that the problem was solved. I drove it home, and the new tire that was on the rim I was assured was fixed was once again flat the next morning. Upon taking it back to them the next day, they looked at it for 10 minutes and told me the rim was cracked, and there's nothing they can do. They would not refund me or compensate me at all for charging me for all those tires and not driving it or checking the rim like I asked, but said they would give me a few bucks per tire because they're now used. Finally, last week I busted a tire. I took it to them and was met by the same lady at the front, who has not gotten any kinder since my last encounter. I had a warranty for the tire, so they put the new tire on the rim and she asked if I wanted them to put it back on for me. I said yes, and once my car ready she then charged me a $26 dollar "installation" fee. I was not told or aware of this before agreeing to them putting the tire back on for me. Knowing that info before hand, I would've taken the literal 10 minutes and put the tire back on myself. I was honestly stupid for continuing to come back after multiple bad experiences. In summation, unless you're into being gas lit and up charged while a rude gal scolds you throughout the experience, I would avoid this place. :/ read more

They took an hour when they told me 20 minutes. And they charged me 200 more for the tires when I could have went down the road to USA tires saved 200 for the same tires with a quicker turn around do not recommend. Definitely not the best bang for your buck don't go there! read more

I have done business with this shop three times. Once they charged me for a valve stem, that they did not install. The second time they sold me a tire that was so old, the rubber was cracking. This time I needed six tires for my truck. I had priced them online, and could have them delivered for about $550. This store, which I had hoped would be reasonable, and allow me to avoid waiting for tires to be shipped, quoted me $1,200 for the same tires I had priced online. When I told the salesman that I could have them shipped for less than half that amount, he said, "Well, maybe. But we are going to charge you $50 each to put them on your rims, so the price will be about the same anyway." My wife called another local tire shop, later in the day, and was told that they charge $15 per tire for mounting and balancing tires. She then called this shop, and asked what they charge for mounting tires, without mentioning that I had been in earlier. She was told that they charge $30 per tire. I am certain that the salesman jacked up both the price of tires, because he hoped for a big sale, and then, angry because I declined that price, lied to me about the cost of having the tires mounted. In any case, my three visits to Discount Tire Outlet resulted in paying for merchandise I did not receive, purchasing an outdated, unsafe tire, and today, enduring the salesman's attempt to hustle me, and then being lied to about the cost of services, which would have resulted in my paying $120 MORE for tire mounting, than their regular price. Incidentally, as we discovered, this "Discount" Tire Outlet, charges DOUBLE what another local, privately owned, tire shop charges for mounting tires. Some discount! On a tangential note, although it violates the guidelines of this site, Discount Tire Outlet actively solicits favorable Yelp reviews from customers. There is a written request for such reviews, on this and other sites, prominently displayed in their lobby. In summary, expect from this company to pay far too much, for junk, which you won't receive in any case. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

A female going into the auto world alone is no small feat. Earlier today, I shopped around by first going to the supposedly best place in town. In short order, I discovered the sales technician was attempting to sell me the incorrect tire size for my truck. From there, I headed south of Redding, Calfornia to another so-called savvy place and the man behind the counter was so condescending, I wouldn't have purchased tires there regardless of lower prices, which they weren't. I heard about Discount Tires and decided to give them a try. The moment I walked in the front door, I was warmly greeted by the personnel behind the small counter. Dustin Krueger, a sales technician, approached and asked what he may do to help. In no time flat, he rolled out two tires, which he said would meet all my needs. In 30 minutes, my truck had the best tires for a lower price than the cost of the previous less-than-favorable tire locations. Dustin is polite, conscientious and above all, he obviously cares a great deal about his customers' needs. There is no other place I'll go with my tire needs than Discount Tire. I'm more than pleased and my truck now rides smoothly. Thank you, Dustin, and Discount Tire, too! read more

We have been using Discount Tire Outlet for years now. They have always been quick to get us in and have done great work. Even when we showed up one weekend, not realizing they were only taking appointments, they said "no problem" and stick us in between customers! They always have a great selection of used tires and can get particular brand and sizes if you are willing to wait. I don't have any reservations about sending my wife or fighters in to get tires and your service since I know they will be taken care of without being talked into anything they don't need. read more

There's nothing "discount" about Discount tire. I came in with 4 loose wheels all I needed done was take the tires off. Nothing else. Not even disposing of the tires. Evan was grumpy and unfriendly. "What size?" "Cash or card"? Try being a little friendlier to your customers. I was quoted a whopping $40. When I commented on how much it was he said, "it's all labor". I used the stopwatch on my phone, it took him 7 minutes and 2 seconds to take them off. I'm going to add 5 minutes to write me up for a grand total of 12 minutes. That's 1/5th of an hour. If 1/5th of an hour costs $40 then that equates to an hourly shop rate of $200. I was expecting and willing to pay $20. $40 is just highway robbery for 7 minutes of work. I won't be back. read more
