This is the best quality bubble tea I've found thus far in Hawai'i, hands down. Properly QQ texture boba that is perfectly chewy and not soggy, and strong tea. I find that the 50% sweetness level is just right for me. The staff are so friendly too, they have a point card system, and their vegetarian classic stirfries are quite tasty as well :)
I decided to come here after starting my new job nearby. I got the strawberry black iced tea no boba. This drink was delicious and refreshing. So good.. I didn't realize they also sold food here as well.. Maybe next time I will have to try it out. Looks good. If i like the food, they get 5 stars. Please be aware you have to pay for parking because there's a paying booth to pay parking. You could validate your parking at the booth in the small shack in the middle. The inside was clean and menus on the wall. Pretty cool. Highly recommend for drinks. The lady gave me a stamp card. Pretty cool. I may try more drinks here next time..

The seats are a bit high, but the sky was nice to look at out the window during sunset. There are a lot of choices and prices are about what you expect to pay for boba. I ordered from this place through Uber Eats a few weeks ago and forgot to leave a review. The meal I received had MOLDY BROCCOLI on almost all the broccoli on my plate! I reported it to Uber Eats and provided photos, but they refused to issue a refund without valid reason. I'll attach the pictures here. Please be extremely cautious when ordering from this restaurant--quality control clearly isn't a priority.
This place sells boba and Chinese food. There is a wide selection of teas and drinks. Parking is a little tight for the University Plaza. If you're in the area to shop, this is a good place to get a drink or snack immediately after. Tabletop and stool seating in air conditioning.
Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... My former coworker and I had a discussion about vegan Chinese cuisine... Some Chinese are Buddhist and follow a vegan diet. Some Chinese eat "everything" such as pig's feet, beef tongue, chicken gizzards, etc. Just think about dimsum: lots of shrimp and pork dishes! I googled "Vegan Chinese food in Honolulu" and found QQ Tea House. I had been to QQ Tea House many years ago when I picked up my nieces after school and got them some boba tea as a treat. I still had the Loyalty Card from that first visit! I knew that the parking lot is shared with Uyeda Shoe Store and a nail salon... And that the shop is the end unit of a strip of businesses. We arrived around 5pm. There was a lone female customer at one of the high top tables. We sat at a table across the room from her. She seemed to know the menu well and pointed out the positive things about each dish. I asked her if she worked there and she said: no... but she has tried just about everything on the menu! LOL! My former coworker and I decided to share the vegan siu mai and green onion pancakes. She got the vegan teriyaki beef and I ordered the bean curd stir-fry. Our favorite was the Green Onion Pancakes - eat them right away while they are warm with a slight outer layer crisp! Tip: use the sauce that comes with the siu mai. The teriyaki vegan beef was on the sweet side. It was amazing how they can get tofu to have the texture of beef. I liked my bean curd stir-fry a lot! The carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms added color, nutrients, and a pleasant variety to my meal! We also got beverages - which we both enjoyed! My (half sweet) Dragon Fruit green tea was just right! My friend's azuki bean milk tea reminded her of the type of drink she likes from Hong Kong! We both had a great time here and won't hesitate to return to QQ Tea House! Service was efficient and helpful! We appreciated the suggestions from the lady at the cash register! Thanks to the gentleman who brought our orders to our table! Note: the air conditioning was a bit weak. Customers must close the door behind them!
Name me ONE place on Oahu that serves Chinese food with vegan "meats". I'll wait. I came here initially with my daughter for the boba tea, which itself is a good reason to stop by. I enjoyed the vegan Chinese stir fry so much, I came back again just for that. The dishes are actually really tasty, the "meats" are chewy, and the sauces are not greasy like a lot of regular Chinese food. You can eat this stuff and go on with your day (unlike most Chinese food, which causes massive kanak attacks). I've tried the kung pao "Chikn", the "beef" broccoli, and the tofu vegetable stir fry, and they were all delicious. Highly recommend if you want some vegan Chinese stir fry. The drinks are great too, and you can choose non-dairy milk for your milk teas.
We were craving for some boba and haven't tried this place out just yet, even though they've been around for quite some time. There's ample parking in front of the shop, and also street parking if it gets filled. When you go inside the shop, there is a huge drink menu to the right wall, food menu on the left wall, register up front and center with tables and chairs scattered around. The drink menu is quite overwhelming, with so many different choices to choose from, so it took us a minute to digest. We finally settled on a taro iced milk drink that comes with 2 toppings and a Jasmine green tea. You can choose the sweetness levels on your beverages, but we opted to keep it 100% as is. Both drinks were made promptly (there were only 2 other people waiting for their orders in the meantime). We also ordered a vegan chow mein, though I don't know what the meat substitutes were inside of the dish. I just wish that there were a little more descriptions on the food menu portion. The chow mein wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was expecting. All in all, the people that work here are very nice and accommodating. They're also very thankful for your business, which is a big plus with customer service.
Fast. Friendly and tasty. Cute little small business that serves vegan food. Mock chicken was not salty but had a lot of flavor. I'm sure if you brought it to a party, they couldn't tell.
10Q QQ! Genuine teaholic I actually love their Coffee Latte lol!! Their menu being vegan and vegetarian love they have also soy and almond milk alternative. Today was Coffee Latte with a touch of almond milk and coffee jelly..woah! They do have so much combination of fun flavors and specials it's mind-blowing it's never a dull moment here as it's walls are filled with drink menus that I had a difficult time focusing. Super delightfully friendly lady I absolutely love it here with lots of parking though it looks like it's a paid parking as I saw a booth in the corner but inside QQ there's sign saying it's free for the first 15 minutes but no one was there at the time in the late afternoon so I'm not totally sure. Love my latte QQ Thank "Q"!!
Update: February 12, 2021 (Lunar New Year) In the year since my last review, I found the quality of their drinks and toppings to have improved greatly! They've also added new flavors and combinations. I have come to appreciate their vegetarian and vegan food as well! It's not great for me when I'm trying to eat less carbs but oh my word I love Taiwanese style mock meats coz I grew up eating those! They are very generous with the portion size and vegetables. I also found out last night that they cut the vegetables and cook the dishes only upon ordering. I ordered jai, chow mein, and teriyaki "beef" stir fry for our lunch and dinner today for the Lunar New Year and also so I don't have to cook. The chow mein can easily feed three people! So much vegetables in it and so tasty. They also have frozen mock meats and jerky for sale.
Business is located in my neighborhood. Their space is small with few tables to sit while waiting for your drinks and food. When they first opened, they had only drinks but now they have vegetarian food that is made with gluten. My sister loves their food because her family is vegetarian. Their food have different sauces, vegetables, and gluten. It is good to be vegetarian which is a healthy lifestyle. read more
This is the perfect place to start your vegan journey. They have comfort Chinese favorites that are vegan and vegetarian. Spare ribs, teriyaki beef, sweet and sour ribs, orange chicken - they've got it!! The best part is it comes out fast and it tastes amazing. The portion sizes are generous as well. My go to here is the sweet and sour ribs. They also have a nice selection of bubble teas and smoothies. All with almond, oat and Soymilk options! I gave QQ 4 stars because I'm pretty picky when it comes to boba, but the food itself is 5 STARS!!! The service is fast and simple. It's a no-frills Chinese place with limited parking. They have only a few tables and chairs for dine in. I would recommend going to a nearby park to chow down. PLEASE give them a chance and support local!! So good!! read more

A Hidden Gem in Honolulu. If you want some of the best vegan food in Honolulu, award worthy tea, kind customer service (Rosa is AMAZING), and a quaint quiet atmosphere come to QQ tea. They paid for a customer's tow truck! Wow these are the types of businesses we need to protect! A customer had a tough situation where she went in for 10 minutes but parked in a different stall, and they felt bad and ended up paying a $160 tow! Best people in the world! Another refreshing milk tea spot in university area(I t's a walk away from raising canes). My usual orders are the Okinawa black milk tea with boba, as well as the lychee and peach juice tea. For regular sweetness, the Okinawa mt gives more of a tea over sweet taste, which I love. Still has its sweetness though. The peach and lychee juice is a perfect refresher for a hot day, or a walk. Both drinks are a set price, comes in quite a large size. Without the boba, it usually comes out to a $10 price range for both drinks. Cheaper than usual, compared to many other places whilst keeping a good portion size. Very valuable, especially for a broke college student such as I. (Hahaha) so the pricing is really good for what you get. The cashier (or mines whenever I go at least) is a lady who's the sweetest person ever. My thank you's are responded with thank you's back. It's noted, and appreciated. Always looking forward into seeing her whenever I go. Drinks are bagged, which is an A++ for me and my grocery shopping trip from longs & down to earth (also within the area). Definitely stop by for a drink, Or a juice tea. Stamp cards are offered as well! read more

I am such a boba addict, and QQ quickly became my new favorite! So far, every drink I've had there was amazing. I would say my top choices are the wintermelon milk tea and the entire collection of iced milks. But their menu is huge! So don't come here for a boring regular milk tea. Take advantage and get a fun flavor Their entire menu is vegetarian or vegan friendly as well. My favorite snack is their scallion (green onion) pancake If you come back enough, Aunty will remember you and she is the sweetest lady ever! She even recommended Chinese dramas for me to watch They also have a stamp card to get a free beverage, so be sure to grab one when you buy your drink. read more

We loved it here!! my husband and I went here on Christmas day. We're new to the island and we're so happy we ate here. Rosa, the owner, was the SWEETEST!! OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! it was really flavorful and cooked perfectly. we definitely can't wait to go back. it's really a gem no matter how you eat but ALL area vegans and vegetarians should eat here! read more

Decided to give this place a try since i was starving after my nail appointment. Cute little store. I got the brown sugar milk tea to be safe cause you can't go wrong with that right? Idk i feel like it's MEH. not gross but not gooOoOod. the boba balls aren't soft and they don't have that honey flavor :( It was nice to try but i don't think i'd be back! read more

I went here twice, this time we got the black bean beef stew lunch special. The tastes were on point! All their dishes are vegetarian/vegan, and the "meat" was pretty convincing. We also tried their teas and they were flavorful. They use real fruit for their teas because chunks of fruit can be seen at the bottom. read more
So happy that these folks re-opened! I'm bummed that they no longer offer almond milk tea, but their regular milk tea is still winners. I'm not sure why but whenever I order the milk tea with honey boba, the drink is on the warm side. Wish they could address this somehow. If milk tea is not your thing, their fruit teas are guaranteed to quench your thirst, and they have fewer calories and fat than milk tea. This is a one size only joint and drinks come out to about $5, give or take. They aren't a well-oiled machine like Taste Tea, so if you're pressed for time, call in your order ahead of time. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card! read more
There's another boba tea place that opened up on University across from FedEx. This place is pretty good. They're also running a great promo at the moment. You buy one drink at the regular price and get the second drink for $0.99. The store is clean, bright, and cute. The workers are really nice and courteous. The thing that I liked most is that they have a huge selection of drinks. I always get milk tea with boba at the tea places. I saw that they offered fresh papaya milk at this place. I had to get that. We ended up ordering two papaya milks, avocado milk, and a milk tea with boba. Everything that we tried was good without being overly sweet. I ordered my papaya milk with boba. They must have just made the boba because it was warm in my blended papaya milk. I could taste it right of the bat. Other than that, everything was great. Both the papaya and avocado milks had a nice consistency to them. It was made with real fruit and not powder. I tasted a little of the pulp on the bottom of my drink which I didn't mind. I sampled their plum, pineapple, and litchi smoothies. Their smoothies are not smoothies. It's more of a slushy. There's nothing dairy in it whatsoever. However, I liked their slushies. It's basically ice blended with fruit. Their plum slush contains li-hing. We all agreed that that was awesome. The pineapple and litchi were also winners. read more
