Wow wow wow!! I am so impressed. Before I tried QQ Nails Spa, I had a few nail techs who I loved but it seems as if when nail techs get famous on Instagram or whatever they forget the people who helped build their business. I went into QQ Nails Spa after a very recent break up with my previous nail tech. I called and scheduled an appointment to get a full set. They had time at 2 PM. Since I'd never been to QQ's, I didn't know who to request so I kind of just did a Russian roulette of nail techs and hoped I got a good one. And you know what? I did! I got Cindy and she was phenomenal. The service I received made me feel like I was at home. They offered me food and drink (From their grand opening) and just checked up on me to make sure I was satisfied the entire time. I got a full set with ombré nude/pink to light yellow. Came in for the first time today after reading good yelp reviews. Called 2 hours earlier to make an appointment for my sister and I. She got a full set and ombré dip powder I got dip powder mani and a gel pedi with callous removal. It was a little expensive I paid $82 for just my mani and pedi but the technicians were awesome very attentive and made sure I liked my nails not to mention their huge color collection. Made an appointment because I had things to do and they made me wait so long that I ended up leaving with only a pedicure. Pedicure was OK, not worth $22, more like $16. To be fair they were very accommodating when I was asking for gel and dipping powder. They were very nice but the fact that they made me wait when I had an appointment was very annoying and unprofessional. read more

I was hesitant to write this review because I typically don't feel passionate enough about anything to sit down and write a review, but I was particularly upset when I realized how poorly removed my acrylics were to the point where my nails are now destroyed. Awhile back I got acrylics here that were decently done especially for the price point and I was more content than usual at other more pricey nail salons. The past times I've gotten acrylics done I usually am too lazy to go back to a nail salon to get them removed so I remove them myself at home (not recommended unless you know how to do them safely which I do not). This time around though, I decided it would be safer to spend $10 to get them "professionally" removed. Little did I know "professionally" would be taking a nail clipper and prying them off my nails until it finally ripped off the acrylic with some of my nail bed along with it. Another thing that got me angered was that one of my ring finger designs was too thick to be ripped off so the technician decided to dip it directly in 100% acetone until my finger burned and then proceed by drilling off half of my nail bed until it was so fragile and pink that I felt like it was going to rip off at any moment. The finger hurt if any pressure was placed on it and the other fingers were only temporarily fixed by buffing off all the jagged nail surfaces (which is not at all healthy for your nails). Not only did this professional nail salon do exactly what I could've done at home and wouldn't recommend to do, they charged $10 for it! And to add onto that $10, they recommended I get gel nails because my "nails are too fragile without more polish." It wouldn't be if they removed the acrylic safely! This happened about a month or so back but after painting my own nails at home recently, I found out that the nail bed they drilled off is so fragile it's starting to peel off and now my ring finger is half the size it used to be. My nails are permanently destroyed and it only costed the low price of $10! Amazing! Yes this place is a cheap salon to get your nails done at, but you would've at least expected them to know how to properly remove the product without destroying your natural nails. Quite disappointed. read more
