The fixins' line.

Been hearing people swear about this place for years. Being a lifelong Mexican enthusiast, I'm never all that inclined to do anything that remotely whiffs of "fast food" or fast casual "Tex-Mexy" kinda places. I make my own authentic Mex and nothing can top that. Plus, I'd already gotten the word that it was a Chipotle knockoff. This place only serves flour shells or hard-shelled corn tortillas, for example....which evidences my point about authenticity. I wanted to try a few tacos but not eating a shell of "Doritos", even though I like Doritos - just not on my taco. That said, this place is completely reminiscent of Chipotle as mentioned, only plus what appears to be fresher ingredients and minus repeated health code violations. The "bowl" here is even called a "Burrito Bowl", just like Chipotle and it's even referred to by the same name. You'd think that kind of thing would be trademarked or something. Qdoba started two years after Chipotle so they definitely [apparently] copied the formula. Similarly, the Burrito Bowl starts with a base of seasoned rice and you have them add the toppings of your choice as your bowl makes its way down the line to the cashier. No designation OR SIGN as to where to order as you snake around towards the register, btw. I ended up bypassing the order area and stopping at the cashier area....where I ended up waiting just long enough for a lady to come behind me - and start placing her LONG ASS order. I slid back to the "order area" muttering aloud that I overshot the target and welp....she kept ordering with nary a concern that I "technically" was ahead of her - even though she asked me what happened lol.*eye roll* It wouldn't kill them to post an ORDER HERE sign. Jeez. My bowl had the following: Rice, chicken/steak/50/50, fajita vegetables, corn, pico de gallo, guac, lettuce, shredded cheese, habanero salsa and jalapeno.... $9 and tax - generous portion size. Very simple, clean food.... especially good if you have certain food allergies or an aversion to greasy fast foods. I'll go back. I like them.

This is the food I received from Qdoba today! The lid was open and the food was all over the package. I ordered through grubhub and they refused to refund me. This is not the first time my order from Qdoba has issues.

Fast Food, Mexican Food I have never been here before and decided to try it. The resteraunt itself we found to be dirty with the kitchen ate to be clean. I got The Pulled Pork "Two Timer" Taco with a side of Pinto Beans. Both were tasty but the taco was very messy and fell apart after the first bite as the Shell got very soggy as they are packing so much into a taco shell. My wife got the Taco Salad which she stated was very good. She also got a side of the tortilla soup which was just ok. The one issue I did have is that on the menu board, the writing of what's on each item is so small and far from where you order that I had a very difficult time reading it. All in all the food is mediocre but we will return and try it again.

Steak Burrito Bowl (extra white rice, pinto beans, steak, lettuce, pico de gallo, corn, guacamole.) *FYI - 15% of the guac got stuck on lid.

Pros: *Ordered 'Steak Burrito Bowl' (extra white rice, pinto beans, steak, lettuce, pico de gallo, corn, guacamole). Food was fresh + filling. *Large varied menu w/ 18 toppings + 7 proteins - breakfast options too! *Premium toppings like guacamole and queso are free (unlike competitors). Cons: *Flavors are very one-dimensional. Ingredients are fresh, but they lack any notable seasoning/cooking techniques - which prevents flavor from popping. *Small scooper w/ trigger release is used for guac - helps w/ restaurant portion control, but zaps ordering experience for customer. *So many toppings, but no clear labels/allergy info on the food line. Hard to ask questions w/o holding up the line - so ordering can get overwhelming. Overall: Reliable spot if you are looking are quick + healthy meal. Food quality is good, but taste is average + lacks memorable flavors. I would consider returning to try some of their new products (brisket, Cholula chicken, etc.), but likely would not go out of my way to return.

I have to this location a few times, i love QDOBA's nachos and quesadillas! Sometimes i also get the bowl! The good- -location is convenient -every time I've been there the line is typically less than 5-6 people, so no long wait for food -tastes fresh, delicious food -free guac!!! -customer service is great The bad- Not really anything bad to say about this place, i do prefer chipotle because it has a little bit more flavor but overall their food is tasty as well!!

This was my first ever visit to a QDOBA and I was pleasantly impressed at the quality and taste of my quesadilla. The steak, peppers, onions, black beans, and cheese were fresh! The guacamole was also good. The restaurant has indoor dinning and the bathrooms were clean. Its very similar to chipotle in taste and price and its almost al carte for a drink and chips and salsa which gets expensive. Overall it was pretty good!

The ingredients are always fresh. I love the food the service and prices are great. The location is also convenient and easy to access. There are COVID-19 protocols in place to keep people safe. I like to take my food to go because I am still not comfortable sitting and dining in at any restaurant no matter the size.

I would describe them as a combination of classic and elevated Latin food. The vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but the presentation of many of the dishes takes it to another level. They also have a wide selection of beer and wine. I have had tacos, octopus, breakfast tacos, and tamales. Everything was flavorful and quite tasty. I will admit service was a little slow the last time I went, but given the weather and the fact that we weren't in a rush it wasn't a big deal. If you haven't been yet, you should go. The colorful presentation reminds me of Palette 22, and rumor has it they are expanding to the Ethiopian restaurant that closed next door. I hope that's true!

Could work on those fried plantains as they were a little soggy. The quinoa salad was good, a bigger portion would have been nice for the price paid and maybe if it would be easier to eat if served in a bowl. The chorizo sandwich was okay. Presentation and bread could be better. We left curious about their regular menu so we may give it a try some other time. Their staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about their menu items. They didn't really know how to answer my question about their vegan tres leches and told me it was not actually vegan after indicating it had condensed milk and heavy cream.

Dining with kids can be challenging, so it's always nice when restaurants and staff are accommodating. The staff at Sabor Mixteca went above and beyond that. They were super fast with their service, but also showed warmth and kindness the entire time that made the meal delightful. The decor in the restaurant is vibrant and fun. They also had a clean, well-kept bathroom. The food was great. Everything came out in a timely manner and was excellently flavored and balanced. You could tell that this wasn't just like your run-of-the-mill taco joint. The flavors had a depth (especially the guisado) that brought things up a notch. But, like I was saying - although the food was great and memorable, I was really appreciative of how awesome the staff was and would love visiting again if we're in the area. Would definitely recommend.

They were all sweet, kind, and happy to help. The kids got cute kids cups with silly straws. Chips and salsa were not included. The chips and salsa were the only things we weren't impressed with. Everything else was delicious. My shrimp tacos were full and had great flavor. They fell apart while eating them, maybe if they had less sauce or the tortilla was grilled a little more it would have held up but they were so good I didn't even mind it. Our kids and my partner loved all of their food as well.

Every component is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I did really want to try their breakfast burrito and was sad (& surprised) they aren't open for breakfast on Mondays, because online it says they are. Anyways, we got there right when they opened for dinner and others clearly had the same idea. You order inside at the counter, sit and they bring you your food. Our food did take awhile to come out though, and we were giving the tables around us side eye for getting their food before us. We devoured our chips and salsa in the meantime. All 3 salsas are amazing and worth getting! They went great on the burrito too. Matcha horchata and Arnold Palmer were refreshing, and I appreciate the more inventive drinks than your standard taqueria. And now onto the main event... THE California burrito. Man, it made me happy to be alive. We sat on the patio and it was lovely, and shaded by the umbrellas.

Just because it's free doesn't mean it has to be v8 with some onions and cilantro mixed in. Definitely a miss. Black bean burrito: get that hot sauce, you are gonna need it solely for flavor. The ranchera sauce s is tasted suspiciously like ole El Paso enchilada sauce from tin. A miss for me on its own, passable if you add the hot sauce. Chicken tacos: "good". Not great. Tortillas not warmed up properly. That hot sauce they give you comes in super useful just to get some flavor because on its own it just isn't doing much. He ate them all but that was hunger more than enjoyment. Again a miss without the sauce. Mango and strawberry mojito: actually good! Nice flavor, not too much sugary mix. A hit! Something to note: They have this roving band of musicians that go around to tables and play music. Instruments and all. If that's your thing then maybe that's a reason to stop by for a drink but if it's not for you then at least you are aware. Nothing I would come back for. 3/5 but more like 2.5/5.
