I had to go to this location on 13 September 2024 in order-to-order happy meal for my daughter. What I observed was unbelievable! I saw the cashier who handled my order at the register, went to the kitchen, and collected the food with ungloved hands and put them in the box. Then, the same person handed to me the food. I used the chance to ask her why she did not wear gloves when she collected. She said she did not do that, but when I told her I had already seen her, she comfortably said that THEY DON'T USE GLOVES when serving food, which shocked me so much! How come such a reputable food store would hire a worker that don't even understand hygge caution and the need to glove up when they touch food? Disaster! read more

This McDonald's is just known for forgetting stuff for example I asked for pancakes with my breakfast meal instead they just gave me sausage and eggs and biscuit and instead of a vanilla milkshake. When I eat McDonald's, this is the closest one to home. No longer will I be giving this place service though. I ordered a sausage biscuit and added an egg white, egg white delight and substituted the drink (I'm assuming coffee) with orange juice and there is an additional $1.29 charge. I'm fine with the charge but the drink isn't even filled to the rim. If you are going to charge me an extra $1.29 you better fill it to the top. Also, service is really poor. After my order, the lady that rung me up started to talk about me in Spanish. Even with my limited Spanish, I can understand "ella esta...." Cool self service kiosks but they don't print a receipt. Did the payment go through? Who knows. I ordered a happy meal with a toy, but there was no toy. I ordered no fries but got two small fries. I told the lady, NO FRIES, and she trashed them. I imagine a lot of food is trashed there. My order was for apples but got none. The happy meal was in a brown bag. I stopped in at the men's bathroom where the toilet was running for a few minutes like a waterfall. I'm sure it is running non-stop still. A guy asked if I would buy him a cheeseburger while I was ordering with my son. At least the parking was oddly confusing with lots of big arrows in the parking lot. Most McDonalds are great. I came into this location today because my physical therapy is right next door, and I had the time to grab a quick bite to eat. I've walked past there a couple of times, and I couldn't help but notice how small the place is. When I walked in today, it seemed like there were a lot of people just hanging yt and not eating anything, which was strange. My Hope was to order the Big Mac meal, however when I went to place the order at the kiosk, I was astonished. A regular Big Mac meal with a medium french fries and medium drink cost over $8.00! The Big Mac sandwich by itself is over $5.00! Says who? The prices at this location have to be the most expensive in the entire Washington DC area. Granted I'm used to going to locations in Virginia, I've just never seen a McDonald's location that was so expensive like this one. This restaurant does NOT have a drive-thru window, but instead is open 24 hours. Late in the evening, and over night, the side door (facing the parking lot) is locked, so you will have to enter on the front of the building. Keep that in mind if you are wary of parking lots late at night and park close to the street instead of the rear of the building. However, the lot is large and well lit. Otherwise, this is a typical McDonald's. It can be very busy during peak hours, but service is often better at those times, when there is a larger crew working and managers are often present. read more

The inside of the restaurant is kept clean. At least one good thing about White Oak. The restaurant, like others said, can get very busy - so expect to wait in line for a few minutes. They could use a drive-thru lane, even though I understand that their section of the shopping center may not allow for that. Parking is pretty easy; easy to get in and out of New Hampshire Ave, plus there's an Office Depot right by there when you're done in case you need office supplies. The lighting at night isn't bad, though it would help to have more lights close to the K6 / Ride On 10 / C8 Metro Bus stop. It's already wel-lit, but wouldn't hurt to fill in a couple dark spots. You want your customers to feel safe, right? The televisions playing sports and local news makes for a nice touch as well. read more

There is a McDonalds on every corner now a days... I have 3 that are all about 5 -7 minutes from my house. I go to this one because the food is fresh, the service is efficient and I always have the correct order in my bag when they give it to me in the drive-thru. The only mistake they have every made was giving me the wrong happy meal toy (the barbie instead of the car for my son) , which they gladly exchanged for me on my next visit when I requested. The traffic pattern is a pain if you need to pull out and go east on Randolph too... but everything else trumps that! read more
