been a fan of Qdoba for years now, and this new one next to my campus is very convenient. Since Qdoba is not too expensive it is a great attraction for college students. I will say that it is in a kind of hidden/random spot, but it does look great on the inside. They were very generous about the toppings I put on my nachos, and is priced just like Chipotle. I personally like Qdoba more than Chipotle because of the queso sauce, but they are very similarly priced. I will definitely come back here again over the course of the school year, but does not get 5 stars simply because it is not extraordinary. read more

The food is really good. I prefer Qdoba over Chipotle. They always have some kind of promotion or deal...so everytime I've ate there, I've received something free. Now, for the negative. It's always extremely messy behind the counter. It seems like nobody is wiping down and/or tidying the food "assembly line" in between orders. I love their queso. However, the chips are always stale...so I end up throwing them out and eating my own chips. read more

I've never experienced a QDOBA as friendly as this one in Newark. The staff is over the top happy and excited to serve. The food is good, perhaps a bit better than Chipotle, but pretty similar. The burritos are my favorite and there is a great selection of toppings to throw on top and get a burrito bursting at the seams. Sure, you have to pay for chips, but you really probably don't need them with how big the burritos are. Don't be afraid of the line, it goes fast. read more

The lines are crazy long during lunch, but they move pretty fast(ish). If you have a one hour lunch you should be able to eat in time, but if you're pressed for time just pre-order online, and pick-up at the side register. You can pay when you pick-up. So my food is always great, but my complaint is about the miserable employee. I've been there a couple of times. The past two times have been within two weeks of each other. Those two time i had the same preparer. He is not welcoming at all. I say hello, nothing. I say thanks have a nice day and nada. Dude if you don't like your job get another one. He literally prepared my food, charged me, and left it there for his coworker who was coming back from break to pack it up while he took on another customer. Meanwhile, every time I go to Hasbrouck Heights everyone is so welcoming and they prepare service with a smile I gave him the benefit of doubt in case he was having a bad day but dude life it too short to be that miserable. I usually get a taco salad at this location but decided to get a burrito this time. The lady who put the guac and sour cream in my burrito either didn't care or doesn't understand what a burrito actually is because she didn't evenly distribute the guac and sour cream. She just plopped a scoop of guac and sour cream on the burrito, rolled it up and called it a day. So one end of the burrito was just all sour cream and the other end was all guac. Next time I'll just ask for it on the side since it's too difficult for her to do. read more

How is it that at 2:30 pm this place is out of rice, white and brown. I've never been to a qdoba in my life and heard that the rice was being cooked especially in the middle of the afternoon. Then the guy doesn't even know how to fold my burrito, I'm not complaining about little things like it's your job, if you were hired for whatever position it is you applied for, you should at least know how to do your job. I love Qdoba I will usually have it at least once a week. Extremely thrilled they opened a Qdoba less than 10 minutes away from my house. You can not go wrong with a bowl or quesadilla, I usually stick with either chicken or steak, they offer a variety of toppings which are free(amazing)! The staff at this location was friendly and welcoming. They did a amazing job with design of the restaurant. The only issue I had was parking around the area, its pretty limited but Qdoba is worth the trip around the block. read more

Normally when I visit this place my experience is good. However, this place has changed the kid menu options even if you have a kid with you. They are only offering the kids quesadilla meal. I was told because they had adults coming in and ordering kids meals. I do in some ways understand, but when you have a kid with you it should not matter. I had to pay an adult price for a nacho meal only to be nickeled and dime by the lady. She barely wanted to give me the sour cream or guacamole for the two adult meals I did buy. This store has been open for a short time and usually it is a nice experience. Today it was not. I come in and I was rushed to order, mind you, there was no one else in line. I also felt rushed in choosing ingredients, but the part that upset me is my burritos were not closed properly. They were also not wrapped in aluminum foil properly. I live 5 minutes away. When I get home my burrito is cold and guacamole was sleeping out the sides so I couldn't eat it closed and had to pour everything in my plate. This was all because the person who I believe was the shift leader put no effort at all in making my order. I am very upset. While there was an unusual wait for my food , Kelvin didn't hesitate to help past the time with witty jokes & great conversation . The customer service is absolutely awful. The staff clearly hate their jobs and the management is unprofessional! I went in today (9/16) to purchase two tacos and during check out was skipped over for the man behind me, making me wait additional time. When I asked why I was skipped over the cashier said because the man was in a rush. I explained that I was also in a hurry and that it was not good service to treat customer inequitably. The manager simply looked on at this very unprofessional exchange and said nothing. I walked away without purchasing the food and will never return to this establishment. I would give this place 4 stars for the food but this place needs some operational help. They seem to always be short staffed with who I think is the manager running around like a chicken with its head cut off. If there is a line of 10 people ahead of you (which is pretty short), expect to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to pay and get out the door. The slowdown is when you pay. They need to hire a cashier instead of having the manager do about 7 different things. Today, the cook was delivering food, while the manager was cooking, answering the phone and ringing people up. I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the ingredients that was provided. This was my first time a Qdoba, the gentleman that tended to me (DJ) was awesome... Great Expierence and would definitely come back and try something else on there menu. Personally, I wouldn't bother with a chipotle... Either i'g either go to actual Mexican spot, and if not...
