And only 2 tables available to sit at. 8 chairs at most. At every table sat Uber eats and or Grub hub delivery people. At the tables the PAYING customers would regularly sit at! We turned our group around,Went back to the hotel, And the manager there arranged for us to eat at a nearby Applebees. Thanks Popeyes for letting good customers down. Popeyes is my guilty pleasure BUT not all are equal so I had to post a review of this one in Harrison NJ because it's now on my top 3 for this franchise. First, it's clean! Second, the service was nice EVEN after I decided to get Mac & Cheese instead of the fries I originally ordered. The food was fresh, hot, & not overly seasoned as I've experienced in other locations. Last the price for a hot meal with a decent size drink is under $10...not bad at all! Place looked clean, efficient - ordered a four piece mild box, cole slaw and biscuit, included a drink. Took back to the hotel and the chicken was pretty good - wing, drumstick, thigh and breast. I'm not a huge fan of most fried chicken places... Oh who the hell am I kidding, I'm always a fan of fried chicken places, I just tend to stay away from them as I'd like to live long enough to enjoy retirement some day. So a couple weeks ago, I tagged along with a co-worker who wanted Popeye's for lunch. I don't partucularly care for Popeye's on a normal basis, but the food is generally good-I've always found it a little bland, but it isn't bad. This location is always very clean, but the parking lot is an absolute nightmare ingress and egress-too tight, not enough spaces, and on the corner of two busy streets. I will also come clean with the fact that I HATE how many of the employees-including the manager-will stand around speaking and yelling in a language other than English (I think it's Vietnamese, but I'm not 100% sure-nor does it matter). It's just rude-you can tell when they are talking about customers and it's just annoying. The service at this location is also pretty slow-especially at lunchtime. I understand not having food sitting around at 10:30 in the morning-or even 3 in the afternoon-but not at 11:45. You have to have your chicken DONE by that point...not requiring someone to wait 10 minutes. That said, the food here has always been good. Since I was there already, I decided to order a small 2-piece meal (leg and breast) with some cole slaw and two biscuits (I love biscuits-I know they are terrible for you, but I love them). The chicken was better than I'd had the previous times I'd been here (did they change a recipe?), but they screwed me when they only gave me one biscuit after I ordered and paid for two. Guess that's what I get for not checking while standing there in front of them. I'd give them 2 1/2 stars if I could because I've certainly experienced better, but the food here is still pretty damn tasty read more

It's Popeyes. How much can I say? Every now and then, I'm in the mood for fried chicken at lunch and this is where I go. There's no KFC near my office, but if there were, I would choose Popeyes. The chicken might be comparable and probably the prices too, but Popeyes has better quality sides in my opinion. The staff here keep the place clean and the line moving. My only issues I have with this location are the limited parking out front and ... the location. They share maybe 10-15 spots with the Dunkin' right next door and I can never seem to make it in the door or back to my car without being heckled by various loiterers out front. read more

Random work hours. I arrived at this location today, Sunday October 11 at 7:50PM to pick up food. The Yelp and Google listing and website says the location is available till 10PM. As soon as I parked, the guy inside walked across the store and locked the door. Seeing me park! That was simply rude. Outside on the door, it says store closes at 8pm on Sundays. Which is incorrect as per the listing. On top of it all, there is still 10mins left and I am here for a pickup at a fast food chain. Stopped by on the way to the hotel. There was no line at the counter. We were greeted by the staff behind the counter. I ordered a 2 piece meal with spicy legs only and a side of Cajun rice. It also came with a drink. I got my order within 2 minutes and was out of the restaurant in 5. The only reason it took that long was that I had to wait for a father and son who were in front of me to get their fountain drinks. I just finished eating my meal. The chicken was nice and hot (temperature) and just spicy enough. I ate a little bit of the rice, but chose to eat the buttery biscuit in its place.
