It's quite simple. Walk in and make your own huge burrito, sit down, chow down. I like Qdoba much more than Chipotle for various reasons. Firstly, Chipotle is overhyped, which means it's always packed full and the servers are always stressed and not the most curious. Secondly, Qdoba sure seems like they have a wider variety in addition to having fresher tasting an flooring ingredients. I rarely see Chipotle cooking fresh meat in the background, whereas Qdoba is constantly cooking fresh to refill and change out any ingredients that have been sitting too long. Thirdly, I've never had a Chipotle burrito burst open upon closing, it's happened a few times at Qdoba. To me, it seems like I'm getting more filling for my buck at Qdoba. And lastly, you won't have to take a "meeting in the oval office" aright away like with Chipotle... If you're picking up on what I'm laying down.. Overall, I have always had a better experience at Qdoba. The service is always nice, they are never in a rush, you get samples if you need, and the dining space is always clean and open. Oh, and you can sign up for a free rewards program at Qdoba if you choose too. You get points for every dollar you spend, and eventually free food! read more

Not as fresh as 'the other place' but has a lot more variety. I find myself going to Qdoba a lot more often because they're much quicker at making my order and their tacos are amazing. They have also apparently stopped doing extra guacamole which was one of their best draws from competitors. read more

My girlfriend and I make weekly visits to Qdoba, we both agree it easily beats out the other fast-casual Mexican spots; flavor, service (the BG location has a great staff), options and of course....queso! She's a vegetarian and she feels their food has a great taste without any 'smokey/meaty' taste which is fantastic for her. I love the lime chicken...actually all the meat options are great. We also always get chips and queso, and most of the time they are great (we love warm salty/lime chips and sometimes they aren't spot on - but that's understandable because they can't just make fresh batches 24/7). The queso is great...and quac is on the house which other spots can't say. Overall we have never had a bad meal here....and we go every week. The BG staff is great, very kind and accommodating. What the hell happened? It's not like any other Qdoba you've been to. It's nice! So the staff met you, greeted you, no waiting for them to come up and look.. they actually started conversation as you approached the counter. "I want a salad".. (that's me.. that's what I said). He said we can do that.. I've been here before but always opted for the more caloric options and today I wanted to start the month (november) calorically deprived. This was the perfect choice for me. Overrated and overpriced. I've dined in and also ordered their delivery which is a joke. We waited for our latest (and last!) order for almost an hour and a half. When they finally arrived the order was made incorrect and we were missing the sodas we ordered. We called but they were already closed- apparently we were the last order of the evening? Everyone is entitled to an "off" day. 2 weeks ago, Qdoba was having one and I just happened to be there. After writing my review, much to my delight, Chris (Qdoba management) had invited us back with a meal for my family on the house. With my fiance still being skeptical about returning, we gave Qdoba another shot and they totally redeemed themselves! This meal was the Qdoba quality I have come to expect these past 10 years! My Chicken Queso Burrito was stuffed with perfectly cooked chicken, yummy ingredients and queso a plenty-- the same with my fiance's burrito and my daughters chicken quesadilla. Our taste buds were in heaven. Those tasty chips (that had suffered so poorly last time) were now salted crispy and limed up to perfection. I would like to commend Chris for his EXCELLENT customer service for truly going above and beyond to make this right for us. Look, this is a chain but it's undoubtedly the best Mexican food in this tiny town. Toledo has so great taquerias but BG doesn't. This is the best fast Mexican food I have ever had. It is very similar to Chipotle, but it is better because you can put queso sauce or bbq sauce on your burrito or bowl. Also, it does not cost extra for anything except extra meat. So I was able to put 3 large scoops of guacamole on my bowl for no extra cost! Atmosphere is more relaxed than Chipotle's so it is a more comfortable environment to eat in. read more

Best of the burrito chains! Locally owned and operated, I chat it up with the owner every time I see her. The staff is efficient and friendly. And unlike restaurants in most college towns, the staff doesn't seem to turn over often. The food is great, the portions are excellent. I usually have to tell them to hold back on the rice, but they always pile on the veggies and the meat. I am a salsa person, and they always put on more when I ask. The chips are crispy and thin with the right amount of salt and lime, served just slightly warm. I love guac, but it doesn't agree with me! I've taken a sample and its excellent. The secret item is the Mexican Gumbo, love it on a cold snowy or rainy day. I drive past two Chipotle locations and a Hot Head, just go to Qdoba in BG. The restaurant is clean and well kept. Looks new even though its been open for a few years. The restroom is spotless. I notice the staff paying attention to the serving table temperatures on all items, and when something is not fresh they make new. Always confident I'm getting safe well cooked foods. Get a Qdoba card, 10 visits earn a free entree. They also e-mail great coupons out from time to time as well. read more

Underrated, and they overdeliver. I went to Chipotle on a Sunday evening and it was packed with a line out the door (so thirty minute wait.) I decided to leave and head to Qdoba. This was my third visit to the Bowling Green Qdoba. There were just a handful of people in the restaurant and no line. Their prices are all-inclusive of guacamole and way more toppings than you can get at Chipotle. Cilantro, jalapenos, two kinds of cheese... you can truly customize. For a burrito bowl, I was very happy with the taste and the freshness of the ingredients at Qdoba. And they have homemade desserts. I feel badly that they are not getting more business - more people need to know about them. They have prominent posters stating their support for BGSU Athletics and the Bowling Green High School Bobcats. And the staff is always SO nice. They ask about your day, they care, they get to know you if you come in often. The BG Qdoba beats Chipotle on price, variety and choices, personal touch, and community support. Parking I think honestly is a tie. I saw someone nearly get hit in the Chipotle lot because it was packed and there were inattentive drivers. Downtown you just have to know your way around. If you can't get a space on Main right in front, there's several side streets and lots within a 2-3 minute walk. read more

I eat here from time to time. From where I live currently, this location is very convenient though you have to pay to park if you have to drive there. It's usually not super busy and they offer online ordering as well as delivery, which is nice, though I wish they wouldn't have to close so early. I love their queso dip & tortilla soup, but their tacos are also very good. My sister is a fan of their bowls. They are a similar style of chipotle, but definitely make many of their menu items their own (also chipotle doesn't have tortilla soup or queso). read more
