This is my other half's fave Mexican restaurant and is not too far so we make the drive for date night. Usually busy, quick/friendly service, and reasonably priced for the portion size and food quality. The ambiance is lively and hustle-bustle. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Toledo IMO. The food always comes out super fast and the service is usually very good. The salsa is my favorite and my go to order is the Pollo Cozumel. It consists of a rice base piled with onions, chicken, chorizo and pineapple and topped with cheese. Sometimes it is better than others but it is always good! The carnitas Arturo is also very good! My only 2 complaints are how loud it is in there. The music is very loud and depending on where you sit they have tvs going and also loud music coming from the kitchen.Then throw in one or two birthday parties and singing. I get VERY over stimulated when I go here. Also they switched their chips to these awful thick inedible tortilla chips. They didn't used to be that way. Very popular restaurant. Got here at the right time because while eating my food there was a line out the door of people waiting to get in. Ordered the homemade Guacamole, was not expecting it to just be chunks of avocado mixed with other ingredients. This deconstructed guac was hard to eat due to the consistency. Would very much have preferred the guac in its standard form. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was delicious but the steak and chicken were very dry. They give you a very small portion of sour cream and guacamole on the side to add to the tortilla. As for the drinks, they were more flash than they were substance. read more

Giving one star because I have to leave something and negative numbers are not available. Have no idea where to start. Service there was none. Food, no plate presentation, burnt or under poked. Left 90% of the food on six orders. Wasted $85.07 for three sodas, two ice teas and a glass of water. Not able to get server's attention, had to ask for our check from a different person., no check backs. Our server did wander alot. All he did was take our order. Someone else brought our beverages, and two other people brought our meals. Had to go track someone down to get one kid meal that was forgotten. Don't think I will go back nor recommend. read more

La Fiesta was close to the hotel I was staying and decided to try it out for dinner. Plenty of Parking and inside has a nice size bar and full customer seating areas. Server and service was good. Started with the chips and salsa as I browsed the menu. The menu looks amazing with tons of options. I went with the Steak Street Tacos A La Grill ($12.99). Three soft shell corn tortillas (corn served with rice, beans, cilantro, onions, lime and tomatillo sauce. They were a good choice and took one back to the hotel as I could finish it all. Restaurant was clean and full of color. Good service and good food. Would eat here again if I was passing through the area again. read more

We had a party of eight and the place was packed. So, we expected to wait and no big deal. We waited about an hour which was expected. Well they felt bad about it and ended up give us free appetizers. Totally didn't expect that and wasn't necessary, but GREATLY appreciated. What a kind gesture. The food is absolutely great! I've never had something I didn't like or the people that we have been with didn't like. It explains why they are always busy. The service is always above par and the are on top of their game. First, the menu is huge, as in tons of choices to try. I'm not knocking it one bit, but it would take years to try it all. I had the Chori-pollo dinner. A nicely grilled flattened chicken breast marinated in adobo sauce with chorizo on top of it. The chicken was nicely seared and had a firm texture to it. The refried beans were silky with melted white cheese on them. The rice was done perfectly and had good flavor. The chicken was easy to cut and thin enough to get bites of everything with it. The plate was hot and it kept the food hot. The spice level wasn't real high, so I asked for Tapatio or something similar. Melissa told me they had their own hot sauces, and brought both. They had different flavors and were pretty damn hot, certainly too much for the weak. This dish was so good, I wanted a taste before I took a pic. Well, one bite turned to two, then three. I was told this is the best Mexican restaurant in Toledo. I'll need to try it a few more times and try different menu items to determine that. I got the chicken mole. The mole sauce was pretty good and actually seemed homemade (lol on restaurant I went to literally tasted like the Doña Maria brand you can buy at groceries). It was a large portion of chicken with rice and retried beans. The rice was average - like good! But nothing outstanding. It comes with three tortillas and a side of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes & onions, and guacamole / but this is super small portion. What's cool is you can get margaritas to go! Sadly it was very little tequila and not high quality / very sugary, lots of syrup. I'm sure if you ordered a top shelf margarita that would be good, just don't get the regular one. My poor baby was sweating and we should have left then but I thought the food quality would be similar to the Dayton location. Wrong. Not crowded. Seat us right outside the bathroom. No one wants those seats. And when I went to the bathroom there was no toilet tissue. Reported to server. Never saw anyone replace it. Inattentive. Best way to describe. One person seated us. Another person came and asked for drink orders. Then another brought the chips n salsa. No one said yes I'm your server. 15 minutes later, the server comes back and takes my man's drink order n walks away before I can say anything. She comes back 10 minutes later and I tell her that she walked away before I could open my mouth. Silence. Order comes. No sour cream I ordered. No extra tortillas that we ordered. She didn't care or listen to even write our order down. Asked 3 times for napkins because we are sweating like crazy. She would bring 2 at a time. Why? Food was OK. Margarita tasted really cheap. The beer and margarita specials could not be beat. Since we had driven all day and were parked for the night, we happily bellied up and put 'em down. The menu is HUGE, so it helps to know what you want. Selecting our meals took a while with great guidance from our bartender. I finally decided on an Alambre taco while The Smokin' Hubster had Chicken Enchiladas with mole (a special request). Though I ordered a platter, only a single stuffed taco came to the table. Our total bill was $ 78,00 To order the cheese itself for a large bowl It's only 5.99 you get like three times the cheese. But instead they charge me nine dollars just for a couple spoonful. So I tried to discuss it with them. They' were standing there, Laughing at me. I guess because I am a senior citizen they don't care. Also think it is ok to disrespect me. We are from Chicago, which has some amazing Mexican restaurants, but La Fiesta is far and away the BEST Mexican restaurant we have ever dined in. We stumbled across this place on a road trip from Chicago to DC and back and we couldn't have been luckier. Great selection and flavors. The service could not have been more helpful and attentive. Very nice facility; clean and well maintained. Besides being flavorful, the portions are huge. The shrimp sauteed with garlic, vegetables and olive is too good to describe!! Ordered pickup via door dash. Hubby got chicken quesadilla and loved it. We also got the 16oz queso which is very good. Has a little spice but not overpowering. I got the shrimp quesadilla and was a little underwhelmed. I also asked for beans since it was a rice/ bean option but got rice instead. Door dash should probably have the option on their app so the user doesn't need to place it in the comment section. We will try it in person once we don't have a newborn. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant. The variety to choose from, the service, friendliness of staff, margaritas and food makes this the best! Had a group of 15 recently, unfortunately we had to be split by three tables and a booth but we were all in line and there was room to get up to walk around and talk with others. It was great to see the variety people chose. What makes this restaurant local (besides local chain) is that they give back to Maumee, especially helping out Maumee City Schools.
