Taco Tuesday!!! They have a taco Tuesday here that includes steak tacos and birria tacos! Oh yea, hard and soft regular tacos as well but those aren't as good as the steak and birria tacos. You have to stop in for the birria tacos. At least get 2 of these and one of the steak tacos. You will not be disappointed. The birria tacos are some of the best I have tried. I wasn't disappointed and don't think you will either. On Taco Tuesday they are only $3.50 each, well worth it. Give it a shot. Don't forget to have a XX amber draft with it. Starting to be our go to place for Mexican food. Saturday there was a small wait before being seated. Once seated our waitress came immediately to take our drink order. When drinks came entrees were given. Within ten minutes our meals were served. Staff at Maya are all very friendly and attentive. Large selection of items on their menu. We heard there was a connection between Palacio Maya and Los Agaves. Since Los Agaves is our favorite Mexican restaurant we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Quesadilla Ranchera and it's identical to Los Agaves. So were the chips and salsa, and the kids chicken fingers and fries. The restaurant is very nice inside. We were seated at a booth and the table was too far from me, but you couldn't adjust anything. I ended up sitting towards the edge of the bench so I was closer to the table. Our server was ok. He did his job and we didn't want for much (napkins and refills) but he had a demeanor about him like he couldn't be bothered or was too cool. It bugged me. Stopped in Monday for a quick dinner. Service was awesome server informed us of their chimichanga deal and margarita specials . Ordered traditional steak Mexican fries , very good flavor and filling. I've only had the chicken chimichangas here, since that is my favorite Mexican-style food, but I'd put them towards the top of my list of favorite chicken chimichangas. You get a good amount of food for the price. Staff here have always been pleasant and accommodating. And the food always comes out very quickly. I guess most of it is probably ready to go in the back anyhow, but it's nice when you just want to stop in, eat, and be on your way. The vibe is pretty relaxed and inviting. read more

Outrageous amount of sweet and sour used in their house marg and their frozen drinks are barely frozen. They also used sweet and sour mix in a skinny margarita, which is not right. Server was nice. On my most recent visit i ordered "California fish tacos". When you hear that, the image that conjures in your mind is not at all what you get. Granted the menu says it comes with rice and "crema salad", which i substituted for beans because i like to mix R&B. What i didn't know is that the "California fish tacos" are literally shells and fish....and that's it! Apparently you are supposed to put the crema salad on them? Palacia Maya has really good street tacos! We prefer the asada or the chicken. The taquitos are one of our go-to. My daughter said this is the best chicken quesadilla she has ever had, and she doesn't even care for meat. The tamales are so big, hearty, and tasty! Such a delicious comfort food! The churros are a perfect ending to a wonderful meal! We always wash it down with a refreshing jumbo margarita. The margarita mix is on point, no need to add a fruity flavoring! My friend put it best..."It's a step up from Taco Bell." Maybe that sounds harsh, so let me continue. Honestly, the complimentary chips and salsa were delicious... Chips were thin and the salsa was a perfect blend between medium spicy and mild. The margaritas weren't anything to complain about, but also nothing amazing to brag about. The "small" size is more of a "medium" size. While we had ordered Patron, it's questionable whether that's what we received. It was okay, but not great, despite the large size. Service was fine, though our server seemed anxious to get us served and vacate the table. Nevertheless, not inattentive, except needed reminding for extra salsa. With a more relaxed server, it would have felt more comfortable to linger a bit longer and we would have tipped accordingly given recognition that the table was occupied for longer than usual. The food... I will speak to my Burrito Texas Tornado with grilled chicken. It was mostly filled with rice and the grilled chicken was very scarce- and not in grilled pieces that I had anticipated but rather in a few squiggly pieces here and there. There was a cheese sauce on top that was along the order of a processed cheese mixture- definitely not authentic real cheese. The guacamole side was pretty good- although not the tableside guac, it was good and seemed fresh, well seasoned. Overall, there was nothing horrible, but nothing that would make my friend or me want to run back. My friend had planned to order a meal for her son there, but decided that Taco Bell would suffice- especially since the server seemed like she wanted to be rid of us. Staff is friendly, but a good number of them have trouble with english. If you have a complicated issue to discuss, like allergies, lean into your high school spanish, if you have it. The english will not be sufficient. On the plus side, they're happy to put a burrito in a corn shell to make the conversation go away. Not a fan. The waitress wasn't the best. Pretty sure she ordered our food and promptly forgot about our existence . We ordered cheese dip it never came and when I said something and she brought it out see picture for what we got for $6, a sad amount. We had to ask for new chips because they gave us a basket of dark brown burnt ones with like 3 regular ones on top.The food came out 2 seconds after the cheese and was cold as was the plate it was on so I think it had just been hanging out somewhere for awhile. My margarita had a good amount of booze in it but had a weird unpleasant taste. Authentic! Doesn't look like much when you walk past but once you enter and see the authentic looking interior roofs you know its legit. The Texas tornado burrito is a MUST. Also their service is very fast, within 40 seconds, drinks were at the table, great news for those thirsty folk. Best Mexican food around. Server was very inexperienced. Friend Ordered a Smoothie, did not look or taste like a smoothie. When we asked, the Server said no, that is a smoothie, no alcohol. Two menu items I love: vegetarian platter and carnitas. Not much of a fan of the rest but go just for my two favorites. I liked the overall look of this place. The Guacamole cart was annoying. But I did like the chips. You want Devin to be your waiter, but he might not bring you queso. And the food was 8/10. But what really ticked me off was the WiFi. I needed WiFi so I asked a waiter what the password was because the settings clearly said 'palaciomayo' under WiFi. The first waiters response was "I've got no idea!" Naturally, I asked another waiter: "We don't have a WiFI." WHAT!!! They are LYING. Hmmmmmmmm. So, I asked a third waiter, who had the same response. When we went the food was salty and over cooked. When my wife complained about the food they offered to take 10% of the bill. My wife ordered something with shrimp in it and the shrimp were cooked hard, and the rice was cooked until it was gooey.
