Chiles Rellenos

if you love Mexican food, this place is a real hidden gem. They have tons of outdoor covered seating, which was perfect on a sunny day. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was some of the best Mexican food we've had in the area. The covered patio is secluded, relaxing and feels like you're on vacation. I highly recommend trying Lupitas Cantina if you like good Mexican food.

Chimichanga (Ground Beef) with refried beans + Mexican Rice

The food is very very good, and the service is even better. Everything comes out VERY QUICK and warm! Highly recommend.

Fastest and friendliest service EVER even on a busy evening. Perfect place for an impromptu date night. Live singer was offering up fresh yet soulful renditions of Milky Chance in the beautiful outdoor patio area. We asked to sit in the outside patio area since the weather was just right. Great location in the charming historic downtown area. I had the chili rellenos, which I order at pretty much every Mexican restaurant on my first visit, and it was good. My husband got a great deal on street tacos since we visited on Taco Tuesday. He says thumbs up on the street tacos. The $3.99 margarita was good! We also shared fried ice cream which was divine. Everything went just right at this place. Everybody smiling. Great vibes. We highly recommend Lupitas Cantina.

The food was insanely good, everyone in my family loved their meals nobody had anything negative to say. The service was very attentive and helpful with giving guidance or recommendations. The golden marg was amazing, I've had the blue carribean marg at the perrysburg farmers market and that one's so good too. The outdoor patio is heated andlooks like a must for next time. We'll definitely be back!

Shrimp Fajitas, Shrimp Burrito, Loco Quesadillas. Excellent Food! My go to when visiting Ohio!

Best Mexican food around! My go to when visiting Ohio! The shrimp fajitas, Loco quesadilla and shrimp burrito are absolutely fantastic and the service is five star!

I came here after seeing the restaurant post on Facebook about someone leaving them a bad review on Google, and them being a newer business. They had been on my list to check out, but I just hadn't made it yet. It was phenomenal!!!! I got the vegan beef street tacos, and a jalapeño cucumber margarita! Soooooo good!

Came for lunch. We had a quesadilla and a carne Asada street taco and a cheese enchilada! Food was great and service was amazing. This is in the old casa Barron location. They have an outside patio area that looks amazing it sit and eat when the weather get better.

Amazing Mexican restaurant. Drive to Perrysburg for the Salt Cave. My coworker & myself were hungry. We were walking towards Hood park and noticed Lupita's. Soooooo glad we stopped. The food is authentic. Huge portions. The atmosphere is super cute. The staff is very friendly and professional. Received our food very quickly. Even the bathroom is clean. Love this place. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive from Michigan. I will absolutely, positively go back to Lupita's.

The best part of the chimichanga was the refried beans. The Al Pastor inside didn't seem very authentic, and the portion sizes weren't huge. However, I will say that for $12, it wasn't that bad of a meal. I was disappointed with the lack of authenticity though, for a place with such a culturally rich interior.

Reviews are largely positive. Diners highlight the flavorful, varied food, generous portions, friendly, attentive service, and popular margaritas. The ambiance, including the outdoor patio, is also appreciated.

It's a very compact store. As I came in the door the cashier was on speaker phone talking to to someone about coloring her hair. They have a very good selection of Christmas Ale beer which is popular seasonal beer right now. They have the option to build your own six pack but sadly no containers to put the beer in. As most of these beers come in bottles this was disappointing. When I went up to the front to ask if they had any empty six pack containers the cashier indicated no. As I cashed out I had a bottle of tequila and six of these Christmas ales that were about three to four dollars a piece. So my tab was about $80 which I thought was a little high and as I'm rolling down the street to head towards home I noticed she charged me for two six packs of one of the particular Christmas beers instead of two singles. Which added additional $20 to my bill. Ouch. So now do I want to get back in the car and go back over there? This place has kind of a hard in/out. My fault for not double checking because she was still on the phone and distracted. I think this is why the error occurred. Partly my bad. They also charge a convenience fee for using your own $$ aka debit card. I should definitely probably go back over there but forget it. They just will not get any more of my business. Suggest local folks head over to Josephs. Best liquor/beer store in town

Just wanted to go to a little spot with no wait, could watch sports game, and play games with our BGSU student, low key relaxed. This little spot checked all the boxes. We started with coctail drinks, hubby had the peach cobbler old fashion, it was fantastic with a finish that really makes you feel like you just had a delightful peach pie. I had the Wolf, really good, quite stronger than you would expect. Would get it again. What gives their drinks a next level is that with some like peach cobble they make a peach ice cube, and for the Wolf it's a pumpkin ice cube, it just elevates the drink a little farther. We kinda did an appetizer meal. Daughter had sweet potato tots, I had beer cheese pretzel, and hubby the sausage platter with brats, kielbasa, and polish sausage. Gonna be honest, despite my last name, I HATE sausage, I'm sure my ancestors are cringing. They have made me a fan. My favs were the polish and kielbasa esp with the kraut. Just surprising and such great flavor all around. I mean how can you also go wrong with pirogies. It was a solid dish. Daughter's sweet potato tots also great. Again, gonna be unpopular here, hate sweet potato fries. These were of a different family, they weren't soggy or like the hand cut fries, yep, hate those too. Genuinely different from their icky sweet potato fries relative. Pretzels with beer cheese will easily feed 8, it's huge, cheese is unusual in a great way. Server was Caroline, shout out to her, super attentive and gave great recommendations. Will be back!

https://www.facebook.com/BaldWhiteGuyReviews…read more One request: "Come get me and I want Mexican." Empty nesting is hard, guys. So naturally, we caved, loaded up ole red, and headed north. We did a quick search and landed on Cocina de Carlos in Perrysburg, Ohio. Now, let's be real, Mexican food has basically taken over America at this point. Honestly, I'm all for embracing our new cultural diversity... just as long as it keeps coming smothered in melted queso and backed by free-market capitalism. The place is decorated pretty much exactly like every other Mexican restaurant you've ever been to, and the menu is your typical Americanized festive lineup: tacos, fajita, enchiladas, burritos, oh and cheese sauce. But then something at the top of the menu caught my eye. One of "Carlos' Top 20" dishes: The Pineapple Don Charly. I'm not sure who Don Charly is, but you had me at Pineapple. It's half of a ripe pineapple, hollowed out and filled with mushrooms, onions, pineapple chunks, and baked with cheese on top. There are a few varieties, but I landed on the Mango-Bacon. Um, what? Yes please. It came loaded with 12 jumbo shrimp, bacon, and mango chorizo (and we all know how much I love chorizo) completely covered in cheese. It came with tortillas, rice, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and beans (could have honestly done without the beans, but whatever). Look at this absolute beast of a meal. It was AMAZING. Not for a light eater, folks. I made several soft tacos out of it and left completely stuffed. But... here comes the drama. Out of all those beautiful shrimp, about 4 or 5 of them were NOT peeled. I'm sorry, but what kind of communist serves shrimp unpeeled?! Seriously, making me do manual labor for my seafood? Unbelievable. Despite the shrimp shell conspiracy, it looked great, tasted great, and made for an awesome picture. The half-pineapple is a huge flex for presentation, and I love pineapple. The prices weren't bad at all, either. You can see on the receipt in that this massive dish was only $22. For the sheer amount of food you get, I didn't think that was a bad price at all in today's economy. Overall, this place is pretty much like all the other Mexican spots, but I'm giving it a solid rating just for the killer presentation of my dish. ‍‍‍‍ 4 out of 5 Bald Heads (Peel ALL the shrimp and it would have been a 5 of 5). If you're ever up in Perrysburg, stop by and give this dish a try! Do me a massive favor: LIKE this post, SHARE it to start a massive debate on peeled vs. unpeeled shrimp, and FOLLOW the page for more of our food adventures! #CocinaDeCarlos #PerrysburgOhio #MexicanFoodTakeover #PineappleDonCharly #FoodComa #CommunistShrimp #SupportLocal #EmptyNesters #FoodieDrama #EatLocalOH
