3.25-ish I hadn't ordered or eaten here in roughly two years and decided to give it another try. I had worked from home (at the library) and hadn't eaten all day, so I was game for pretty much anything. The ambiance at this restaurant is very festive and traditional Mexican. However, it is a very small restaurant from what I could tell - unless there's a hidden area that I didn't see. Around 5:15pm, however, I was seated in a small booth. My server greeted me promptly to give me a menu (which was undeniably sticky) and to take a drink order. I was ready for a small margarita by now. Another staff member brought me chips and salsa in the meantime. The margarita was underwhelming but the chips and salsa were amazing! I don't like greasy tortilla chips and these were absolutely perfect. The salsa was also spot on in its flavor- not too mild or spicy but with the right amount of zest. After verifying that the refried beans were vegetarian and not made with lard, I ordered the Shrimp Quesadilla Remello with a side of guacamole. When my order was placed in front of me, I asked my server if this was the correct entree', as it appeared to be more of a fajita style dish. I pointed out that I didn't see any refried beans and that there wasn't a side of guacamole. He told me the refried beans were inside the quesadilla and that he'd forgotten the side of guacamole. Okay, no problem... except that the refried beans were very sparse. The side of guacamole, when it arrived, looked decent but didn't taste as good as it looked... maybe too much lemon? (Plus, it was an upcharge of $6.00, when I just wanted a small side.) While the menu description stated that there would be onions and peppers with tomatoes. I wasn't envisioning the amount that was stuffed within the quesadilla. Basically, I searched out the shrimp and left most of the onions, peppers and tomatoes. There was also little cheese, which is something I usually enjoy in quesadillas. Some people might love this dish but I was expecting more cheese, fewer peppers, onions and large slices of sauteed tomatoes, with refried beans on the side rather than inside the quesadilla. Plus, even if the beans were inside, I expected more of them. The only way I can best describe it is as a burrito type of fold filled with fajita-like fillings, with a small bit of refried beans smeared on the fajita-like shell. Just not satisfying if you like refried beans. Or maybe I'm accustomed to inauthentic quesadillas?! I'm not sure but it wasn't what I expected. Overall, the restaurant has a pleasantly festive ambiance with decent service, but the food wasn't what I had expected... though it wasn't bad. I would ask more questions if I were to return. I recommend giving it a shot if you're in the Bedford area. read more

Food was served within 15 minutes of ordering and it was hot. The Mar and Tierra burrito was stuffed with good-size shrimp and chopped beef--delicious and enough for two if small portion diners; saved me for buying lunch another day. Been here several times and each time I become more and more underwhelmed. Cute ambiance inside but the service is always lackluster. Greeted by staff after a couple minutes entering the restaurant and waited over five minutes after being seated to be addressed for food or drink choices. The menu while simplistic has some decent choices to offer between various types of tacos, burritos, and other tasty combos. Margaritas leave much to be desired and you'll find better elsewhere within a few miles. Was there during a very quiet/not busy weekday and while the server was friendly, he rarely checked on our table and we were frequently found waiting for more of something or just wanting to pay the check. I love supporting local, however, I'm not sure I can return with the plethora of superior options that are within close proximity of this. read more

Heard some good reviews about the food here. We stopped in for lunch. It turned out there were no lunch specials, and we thought the food was expensive compared to many of the other Mexican restaurants around the Toledo area. It was good, but we won't be back. Prices are too high for the amount of food you get. most of the other mexican restaurants have a nice dinner $10 and under. read more

First time visiting. Had some time before basketball game. Ordered street tacos my wife grilled shrimp. Neither of us were impressed with the food. Service not outstanding. Prices not great. The decor is nice. Odd layout of the restaurant. I've been to many Mexican restaurants. Will not return to this one. My street taco meet was dry and chewy. Shrimp came from a Gordon's or Costco small not tasty. read more

We finally were able to give this place a shot. First off we got sat and were waiting on our server. During that time two tables got sat and ordered their food before we had our server take our order. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, which were amazing! They gave us the margarita flavorings on the side, strange at first but actually an amazing concept! We will always request the flavorings on the side everywhere from now on. We got cheese dip to start, we enjoyed that. I didn't really care for the salsa, my boyfriend did like the salsa though. It was homemade salsa so that could change from visit to visit. I went for the fajita special which was 12.99 for fajitas, I got mixed (chicken and steak). There was barely any sauce that goes on the fajitas. The fajitas were stuck to the hot plate. These were very mediocre fajitas, would not order again. My boyfriend got the vegetarian fajitas and regretted it as well. The vegetarian fajitas have a few extra veggies than meat fajitas. The server seemed to just keep forgetting about us. Multiple tables were in and out during the time we were there. The ambiance is nice for a Mexican restaurant and unexpected walking in. We would go back and try again, but we're not in any rush. Please add a veggie option for the fried burrito. read more

If you're from San Diego you will like this taco shop. It is bomb. The servers are nice and the food is good and authentic. And they have really good art on the walls and furniture. Overall, 10/10 read more

Disappointed. Went there on a Tuesday, service was good. Food had no flavor. We got the rolled tacos, no flavor, and the deep fried burrito, no flavor and multiple grizzle pieces of meat. I normally don't write reviews. I'm not planning on going back, that's how I usually deal with a restaurant I'm not happy with. I really hate to saying this about a locally owned restaurant. This Mexican restaurant may not be the largest, nor have all the bells and whistles, but they serve up delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. A friend recommended this place and I thought why not give it a shot. After all, it's basically just down the street from me. I ordered their shrimp tacos and I was not disappointed. These tacos had just enough heat to tickle my taste buds. They also have an outdoor patio which I'm sure I will be partaking in if this weather ever warms up. Took over an hour for food. We had to go up to the bar to ask our server for boxes and bills. Pretty sure it was a manager - older man that filled our waters because our server wasn't. I tell people I know not to go here unless they want bad service. Won't be back, there's a million Mexican restaurants where I CAN get service. Fantastic food!!! My mouth is watering just thinking of more tacos. They have limited seating but always have to go option and cozy outdoor seating when its nicer. They had a new server who wasn't the best with her service at my most recent visit, but the cooks and the rest of the staff are phenomenal and I've had way more great visits than to let her change my rating. Not great for big gatherings but intimate and kid friendly work well. Also, typically any to go that I've ordered is ready in roughly 15 minutes, can't believe how quick they are. They're fish tacos are my favorite!!! And I do not like fish. Try them, you won't regret it! read more

For almost all foods I crave I have to travel from the Toledo area to enjoy. One of my favorite dishes, quesabirria, has been perfected here. It is authentic and dare I say the quesabirria here was better in both flavor and appearance compared to what I had in Costa Mesa, CA. This says a lot when you consider the typical food quality of the area. The service was perfect, one waiter who was very respectful. 10/10 read more
