I…read moredon't remember much about our carryout experience, but I can say with confidence we won't be back after our dine-in experience today. The food was fine. We ordered fried pickles for our appetizer and that came out within 10-15 min of us being seated. They were hot, delicious and the sauce they came with was pretty tangy and tasty. No complaints. We placed our meal order at the same time as the appetizer, but waited 20-30 min for our food to come out. We ordered Cuban and BBQ Chicken sandwiches. Our waitress came by once during that wait and told us our food would be out shortly but never gave a reason for the delay. I was irritated when the couple behind us - who were seated well after us - received their meals 10-15 min before ours came out. Our waitress was very chummy, attentive and friendly with them and barely checked in with us. Definitely didn't receive the same service. Unfortunately her tip reflected that. Our food was good. BBQ chicken sandwich was good. Needed more sauce but I asked for a side. Cuban was fine. Needed a sauce too but I used the sauce that came with the fried pickles. Fries were delicious and hot. Some of the onion rings were strange. The smaller ones mostly. They weren't even warm and had a chewy consistency. It was weird. As far as the atmosphere? Ugh. That alone killed it for me. 1) it's so dark in there. The dark floors...the dark ceilings...and all that dark wood! All that darkness paired with the depressing country music playing had me wanting to take myself out. Maybe it's good if you're there to drink your sorrows away and whatever teardrops they were singing about, but I found it irritating and agitating. BBQ isn't strictly country music - it can be blues too.

Atmosphere is subdued light in a bar Atmosphere. Yet you can talk in a normal voice to who you're with. All in all you might be tempted to pass by "bar food" in a strip mall. But at dinner time you will often see a waiting line for a table, this should be a clue that locals will wait. The OWNER is always here and will stop by to make sure your expectations are met. He doesn't want your experience to be "just" ok.

The ambiance is comfortable, casual and a bit quirky in a fun way. The difference in my visit this time is that Rikki (the owner) waited on us. She was super friendly and helpful. Also, we were there the night of a huge PowerBall lottery jackpot drawing and the restaurant sold lottery tickets. We took this as an unexpected sign to purchase tickets, but didn't win. It was rather exciting anyway at the time... when we had hopes of winning, lol. My friend and I both ordered "small" pizzas that were large enough for more than one meal. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza with banana peppers on a thin crust and I ordered thin crust with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. Check out pictures below. We both enjoyed our delicious pizzas and took home leftovers. I also ordered a pizza to take home to my mom- with pepperoni and onions on a thin crust. She commented that the thin crust helped her to enjoy the toppings more and that the pepperoni was of high quality and not as greasy as pepperoni can be. This restaurant is worth the short drive to Erie, Michigan. We really enjoyed our experience here and would definitely return and highly recommend!

Decided to check it out after working from a local library. Upon walking in, the ambiance is welcoming and casual. The wood floors looked very clean and it just felt clean. Since I was here mid-afternoon, the back part of the restaurant was closed, so I took a seat at one of the bar high tops. My server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Baja Chicken Rollup without bacon and with ranch dressing on the side. It came out pretty quickly. And did I mention that I also had the fries?! The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked so that they weren't too crispy or too soft. They were addictive! The sandwich was also amazing, though secondary to the fries. The side of ranch dressing was perfect. The condiments were served in small plastic containers, which were a reminder that this was great food in a bar and grill. For me service was excellent. If the British wish to pretend that Charlie Mops (rhymes with barley hops) invented beer, let them. (We know it was probably invented in the middle east about 13,000 years ago).
