2.5 based on quantity of food and cost but 2.0 based on quality For starters, I tried to call in a carryout order and no one answered the phone-several times. I wasn't sure if they were even open on a Monday. Decided to drive over and they were open but maybe not hearing the phone or not bothering to answer because it was pretty crowded. Upon entering, the ambiance is boisterous, upbeat, casual. I placed my carryout order and had a small margarita while I waited. Since some reviews raved about their margaritas, my expectations were higher than what was served. It wasn't bad but also not amazing. Seemed to be pre-mixed. Upon getting the dinners home, my mom had ordered grilled fish tacos. She said the tacos were soggy and the fish was just okay. I ordered the Popeye Quesadillas with of course spinach but also chicken. It included rice and an avocado sauce with a sprinkling of pico de gallo. If you're ordering a dish with Popeye in the title, wouldn't you think spinach would be plentiful?! I'm disappointed to say that was not the case. The dish was mostly the flour tortillas with what tasted like very processed cheese, chicken and very skimpy spinach, plus the avocado sauce and sparce pico de gallo. In fairness, I will point out that this dish would normally come with refried beans with lard, so I asked to leave off the beans due to the lard. Both of us ate what we could of our meals and pitched the rest. I will say that the prices were fairly reasonable, but it was maybe a step up from Taco Bell, except with a bar and a restaurant atmosphere. The staff I encountered were nice, but the food wasn't anything to make me want to return. If you're not too picky about your food and drinks at a relatively reasonable price, you might enjoy this place. The parking lot appears to be full every time I've driven by, but can't imagine that I'll be back. read more

Cinco de Mayo is a great Mexican restaurant for everything! Margaritas, queso, street tacos, fajitas, chips & salsa, desserts- ALL of it is amazing!! You can't go wrong with their cheap lunches! I couldn't believe my eyes when the bill was brought to us. Under $20! We got an appetizer, two lunches, and a dessert! What a deal. We come here for a quick bite, with a large group, girls night, with the kids, anytime is good for Cinco de Mayo! The fajitas are their specialty, but I can't get past the amazing street tacos they serve here. The meat is cooked to perfection! The staff is friendly and inviting. The ambiance brings me right back to Mexico. Cinco is located right on the Michigan-Ohio border. It's worth the trip! read more

You can learn a lot but a Mexican restaurant but these two items. This restaurant has THEE BEST Chile Verde dinner plate I've ever had (outside of my mom's home cooking!). Excellent food I had the Carnitas dinner, which was amazing! Filling and delicious! My son had the La Favorita Fajitas, Steak, Shrimp, Chicken & Mexican Sausage AWESOME!! Truly amazed. This was very spontaneous went to Menards and we hadn't had dinner so we decided to stop. It's very colorful and hard to miss restaurant was fairly busy early afternoon on a Sunday so the staff was quite busy hustling it was good, considering how busy they were & the food came out very quickly - hot and delicious. My dad always said a busy restaurant means fresh ingredients and this place was definitely busy on a Wednesday evening. Decent paloma. Tacos, regular beef on fried tortillas hit the spot. Nothing was extraordinary but was very typical for a mexican place. Chips were thick and didn't not seem made fresh but also didn't seem homemade. The salsa was good, not great. I've had better, I have had worse. The restaurant is a little grungy. Has that look like everything might be tacky/sticky. Overall, glad we picked it over Applebees. I am always down for some Mexican. You usually know what to expect and this was on point for sure. read more

Staff is always attentive. Prices have not risen with inflation. And I love their Mole Poblano, yum!

My husband and I have been here three times now and I've posted photos from those visits. The food here is very good and we haven't been disappointed yet. Everything comes fresh and hot to the table. The staff wears masks and are also polite and attentive. We've managed to sit at the same table each time and felt pretty comfortable with the social distancing. The restaurant overall is quite busy but I can't speak for the social distance or COVID protocols taken in the other areas of the restaurant. read more

I thought this restaurant was a lot of fun! The menu was much smaller than I would expect at a restaurant this size, but it covers the basics with a few eclectic additions thrown in. I had the mole, which was awesome, but I wouldn't say it's real Mexican because it was pretty sweet and served with guacamole. Their beans were tasty, and covered in cheese just the way I like them! I also had the fried ice cream, which was pretty chewy, but got the job done! Another odd thing - there aren't drink menus at the table or in the food menu. They can likely accommodate most anything, but I thought that was a missed opportunity. In this area of Toledo, where decent restaurants are few and far between, I think this one is worth stopping into if you need a quick, inexpensive meal! read more

Been here a few times and it's been really consistent always fast to get food out even when very busy. I recommend chicken chimi with the grilled chicken. I got carry out last time was surprised to see a carry out charge on it with out them letting be know ahead of time but it was ok and not that much compared to other places that charge more per item then what the total charge was. Another surprise was usually for Diane in sour cream is included but I was charge for it as take out again not a big deal just a heads up if you getting carry out . read more

They are always on their A game! I may have had 1 bad experience and that was when we went during the week and a different staff team was working. But on the weekends, absolutely fabulous!! Great food & quick service. Love the cheese stuffed poblano pepper (vegetarian relleno), the shrimp enchilada & chicken chimichanga, but you really can't go wrong with other items on the menu. Very garish and crazy-looking, but since we needed a drink and my sister said the food was good, we decided to get lunch here. The food comes out super quick-probably microwaved but it was good. What wasn't was the chipped plates and cracked tiles and wobbly tables. We ate off the lunch menu and my sister got a burrito and I got something called the fajita quesidilla. I would have given this a good review for the food but the service was so bad it knocked it down to 2. We got seated in an oversized booth ( you know the kind that make you feel like you are 3 feet from the table), and the waiter brought us menus, chips and salsa. He walked away for 30 seconds (I kid you not) and came back to see if we were ready to order. After we ordered I asked if they also had a hot salsa and he said he would bring us some- which he never brought. My friend asked for a little plate for his chips and he never brought that either. The food came out pretty quick brought by someone else and I could see our waiter standing around on the other side of the restaurant doing nothing. Literally nothing!!! I finally signaled another waiter to get my waiter to come over. I said that my camerones Mexicana (Mexican shrimp) said it came with a small guacamole salad - which wasn't on my plate. He pointed to some shredded lettuce on my plate and said that was it!! I do know what guacamole looks like so he said "does the menu say it comes with guacamole ?" I said "yes" so he stepped in the back room and brought me guacamole that felt like it was sitting in a refrigerator. He came back once more to bring the bill and collect the money. This is a good Mexican spot. The staff is very friendly. Our waiter kind of left us hanging and didnt come back for refills which I was a bit upset about. Other than that, the kids loved the environment. They loved the music- kept dancing the whole time. They did enjoy and finish there quesadilla! Well.... If you want to be treated rudely and ignored.. visit this restaurant . Had a party of 9... was told we would have to sit outside in the 85' sun without shade. When I explained my mother I'd a skin cancer survivor and can not be sitting there, we were told to wait outside in our car til a table was available . The hostile hostess took us to a table after waiting forever then literally threw the heavy menus on the table .. all 9 of them which drew attention for everyone around us. Waiting 20 minutes to have someone come ask us for drink order .. we had to ask again to place order even though many servers passed us over and over again . Will never eat here again , would not recommend to anyone ever.. rude rude rude describes the entire experience and the food was less than good. read more
