It's like stepping back in time. Lots of "achy breakiness" going on at this spot. Cash only w/ no credit card options. Take your chance.

The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, not boxed. My husband had the chicken fajita wrap. He says it was hot and juicy, contents were well seasoned and well cooked. Fries were crispy without being burnt. Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We were here in December, only complaint is I don't think the bathrooms are heated, it was very chilly in there. One other thing to note, if you order root beer, it is birch beer and is very sweet (for my own future knowledge, I don't care for it).

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

They no longer offer table service so you go to the bar to place your order. I asked for my wings to be VERY well done. I don't know why places struggle with this all you need to do is leave them in the fryer. No rocket science but they still came out soggy. The flavor was good but limp chicken skin is revolting. The burger was advertised as having fresh-cut fries. I see a trend of restaurants saying this and then serving a frozen product that resembles a fresh-cut fry. This is essentially false advertising. My husband said the burger was a frozen patty which is surprising because we have heard ppl rave about this burger. We have had the nachos before and loved the homemade unsalted chips. They were good but severely lacked cheese. Without cheese, all the meat etc just fell right off. My husband had 2 beers, PBR, and with tip our bill was $62! Which brings me to, why am I tipping you? I have to walk up to the bar to get and order my food and to pay my bill. WHY am I tipping you? I did more work to get my food and drink than you did?! To top everything off the owner's child maybe 3 or 4 was running all over and screaming the whole time we were there. Meh, not impressed this time.

Mayfly Tavern - "hangover" chunks are... *really* satisfying.

Mayfly Tavern - Wings are done in their "Fucked up" style, which is when they are cooked, sauced, and then cooked again. I did not love them!

Mayfly Tavern - Cheesy jalapeno pretzel: super delicious. The inside of the pretzel is slightly underdone, and stuffed with cheese and jalapenos. Awesome

We had seen this bar before in our travels to Toledo for getaway weekend. Last night we remembered…read morethem as we pass by. We turned around and went in. Very nice mixed crowd of people. Bartender made the most amazing White Russian I've had in long time. Perfectly blended and vanilla vodka was big hit. We played three games of pool. I think they had six or seven pool tables, which believe it or not, were only $0.50 a game! Everyone was relaxed and chill while having a super time. We will be back next time we're in Toledo. Thanks for a fun night all around.

Ended up here on a random, RANDOM night out on a Saturday. Friends and I really wanted to play pool…read moreafter winetasting and barhopping in Perrysburg. Quarters onlly had ONE pool table and it was taken, and this place had about 6? Sucked that they didn't have a lot of pool cues to go around, we had to ask our pool neighbors...but we made it work with one cue. It's a nice big place with two separate rooms. One for pool, the other had the full bar, deejay and dance floor. Tables and chairs all over the place and a lot of room to BREATHE. Location is behind Boston Market in a plaza (which I've figured out is totally normal in Toledo)...so random, and somewhat tucked away. Music was pretty good. Played a lot of R&B and Hip-Hop...and what's this--- Suavemente?! Younger crowd grinding and body-rolling on the dancefloor so we definitely stayed in the other room. This place is supposedly known for a lot of fights by the end of the night...guys fighting for girls they called "dibs" on. But it was a good place for some late night pool. Also...I hear they have FREE pool on Sundays?! Game on.
