Industrial vibe with a healthy dose of brown and steel, or silver atmosphere. Not bad looking for fast casual. Wait staff was friendly, attentive, nice, and helpful. Any questions were answered and any needed assistance was provided. Three of us had two birria tacos, one corn and one flour order. Flour tacos were larger, wish corn and flour were the same size. Both came absolutely loaded to the gills with onions so if you can't eat them ask for none ahead of time. Otherwise you'll be like me spending 15 minutes scraping them off all three tacos. Flavor wise was fine, need some salt. The other guy got BBQ brisket taco and another, looked pretty good but not sure what kind or quality the sauce was. Price, not bad for a single taco but not great. Around $4 a piece that's a little too high considering. Also liked the fact you could take a few beers away for later. We approached the order counter and were greeted by the NICEST and most helpful employee! He was a young man, brown hair, very tall, probably 18-25. Wish we got his name so we could applaud his service more appropriately. He informed me the paper menus were not as up-to-date as their electronic one overhead, and volunteered help with any questions we would have. He was very knowledgeable about the menu! So we ordered and it came to $35 for two young petite women. We did not go overboard, as to watch our figure. Well, my friend did not enjoy her breakfast tacos. She put some habanero salsa on one of them and it was so spicy that she almost vomited. My birria tacos were a little charred on the outside but I appreciate how the meal was made-to-order. The meat and cheese were cooked PERFECTLY and so tender, and the cheese pulls were lovely. However, they were so bland. I'm not sure what I was even eating, what animal it was, but it had absolutely no flavor. The chips and salsa we got to share, AGAIN, flavorless. I'm so confused with how this place retains customers. I'm from Arizona and used to very exceptional Mexican food, and they definitely had potential, but it's like there isn't a single seasoning in the entire building. My friend mentioned how the green salsa tasted like "dishwater" and my consomé for the birria was THICK? Like a tomato paste? And it had a steel, chemically flavor. I couldn't eat any of it. I was so incredibly disappointed. I didn't even have the appetite for my last taco. My friend is not picky at ALL, so I felt very validated when even SHE expressed her disgust in it. My once-favorite local taco place has regained a place in my heart. It seems like a complete change in management and personnel. Food came out reasonably fast, and the quality is up there where it should be. Shrimp tacos are good, with properly cooked shrimp. I love Rusty Taco! I first ate at a location when I was out west, and fell in love immediately. I don't know how long they've been around, but I think their a newer chain of fast casual taco places. So, it's a mandatory stop when I'm near one to stop in and eat. The menu's pretty decent and they have a great selection of items to choose from. I've tried a variety of different tacos while here, and today I went with the brisket tacos and queso dip. The gal working the counter was super efficient and helpful with putting my order together quickly and accurately. With my two tacos, queso dip and a fountain drink, the bill came to about $14 or so. Not cheap, but well worth it since the food here is actually pretty decent. If you're in the area and want good eats, stop in here. They literally have something for everyone. Darn good tacos! Rusty taco has a short menu and the tacos are very fresh tasting. I ordered a grilled shrimp taco, a grilled fish taco, and a beef taco. I honestly don't think I could have picked a favorite. Each of them was excellent for their own reasons. I like how you got to pick out different types of salsa that felt it tasted very fresh. Even after eating three tacos himself, my husband went back up and ordered two more. Update: been here several times and my review remains at five stars. BUT this time we had a churro for dessert. We had been made aware of this new chain recently. This was our first time to try it and we were generally favorably impressed. The location just off I-475 at the Dussel Rd. exit was convenient. It was off the main road in a well-kept strip plaza, but was not hard to spot. The facility was nice as they appeared to be going for a rustic cantina feel. It was a walk-up-and-order format and there was also a bar offering cervezas, margaritas, etc. The service was decent though it did take a little longer than I would have expected for our tacos to come up as it was not that busy. It was not too far out of line, however. This place met our needs at the time perfectly as I was moderately hungry while my wife was only slightly hungry. In that respect, this place scales well. We started with an order of chips and salsa to share. My wife had a BBQ Beef Brisket taco while I had a Steak, Egg and Cheese Taco and a Black Bean, Egg and Cheese Taco. We both had positive things to say about our fare and the portions were perfect. The prices were quite fair. With water to drink, tax and a small tip, our final bill was $14. At $7 per person, I was very happy with this value. This experience was more than good enough for us to give it another try. read more

The mgmt of this store has declined considerably and our most recent visit today, 12/29, may have been the last. The place was filthy both behind the counter and in the dining area. I swore off chains during the pandemic in an effort to shop and eat small, but I broke my rule for Rusty Taco. It couldn't have been better! The margaritas are good- not winning any awards but better than expected. They have a great beer selection on tap. I don't think I've ever seen Modelo on tap in Ohio. The tacos are made to order, think subway for tacos with a grill. We had 5 tacos between the two of us and they were all great. The brisket was probably my favorite. We were passing through town on a trip via the 80 tollway. Stopped for the night at a local hotel. Decided that Rusty Taco was a close walk. As it's in a strip mall, it was an easy walk along the path. The cashier was very helpful with the menu. They answered many questions and were willing to customize some of the tacos to the taste of a teen (aka no vegetables). I had the #10 Crispy Chicken Taco and a Breakfast Taco. While the #10 was good, the breakfast taco was definitely my favorite. I also had a strawberry margarita. It was exceptionally frozen. Had to wait several minutes to be able to use a straw. The kid's menu was very limited. The only options were quesadilla or chicken and potatoes. While it was only $2.99, the serving of chicken was very small. The guacamole was great. The food was good. I ordered the fish taco, carnitas and the brisket. The 4 stars are for the food. Understand that these tacos are small and based on "street tacos". So when you enter the restaurant, you order first then find your table, and listen for your name. You will notice that there is a steady stream of customers. When I went it was busy and the helpers struggled to keep up....even my margarita took a awhile to make. From where I stood, no one was ordering alcoholic drinks so there was no reason for the tardiness. So the service was disappointing. Overall, the food was better than most. It's made fresh and the habanero sauce was very spicy. It's difficult to find a dine-in restaurant in this area and I was desperate for a sit-down place. Kinda tired of eating in my hotel room. We watched as the workers put tortillas on the grill and cooked up the fillings before our eyes. Being from out of state we didn't realize this establishment was a chain restaurant. Regardless everything was great! The tacos themselves were flavorful, but some were a little under-filled. My fish taco only had a couple sad pieces of fish inside, but my shrimp taco had a hearty amount of shrimps. A conscious was reached that the fish taco and rusty taco were the best ones off the menu! The tacos may look small but they are surprisingly filling. We ordered three each and shared a large chips and guac. After eating two tacos each we all realized we could probably have just gotten two tacos and shared the guac. Rusty Taco is COVID safe! I then saw an empty cup sitting on the counter, where I was about to buy a beer and put the napkin in the empty cup. 20 seconds later a red headed lady who worked there walked up to me, called me an asshole and told me to use my brain because a trash can was behind their counter. I would like to know where the other reviewers got their tacos because the two times I've been at this restaurant my tacos were horrible. The first time was shortly after they opened. They were ok, but there is absolutely no flavor. I'm a sucker for good queso, and the queso here is pretty tasty. My second visit (which was earlier this week) resulted in an even worse review. For starters, the cashier put her fingers in my soda cup as she handed it to me. When I asked for a new one, she asked my why and I had to explain to her rhat her hands were dirty from handling cash and I didn't want the germs in my drink. I LITERALLY HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HER THE IMPORTANCE OF HAND WASHING. Let me tell you about my actual order. The meat in my tacos looked like dried cat poop. No joke. Shriveled up sad pieces of meat. NOTHING ELSE. Any other time, I would have taken them back to the counter but I had a to go order and didn't discover the sad excuse of wanna be tacos until I was already on the expressway. Was excited to try this place but wasn't so excited with the food I was given, I ordered 4 different tacos and the only one that was enjoyable was the breakfast egg and jalapeño sausage one. Even then, it was just okay. I took recommendations for the other 3 tacos from the worker up front. The meats on two of them were pretty dry and bland, the other taco I got was all grilled vegetables and the grilled vegetables weren't even fresh. It's as if they grilled the veggies at once, let it sit, and then threw them back on the grill to heat it up. Not sure why you wouldn't just grill the vegetables to order, it takes about 30 seconds. Yum!! The food tastes very fresh and not processed. Service is fast. The guacamole and chips is my favorite, but i also love the tacos. Other reviewers complain that the tacos aren't good, but if you like simple food without 100 ingredients, you'll like these. Plus, they give you a lime slice and free salsa cups to add some zest. I think the tacos taste authentic but i know many people don't like the authentic Mexican flavors, which is why i think some others didn't give a good review on them. Also...
