This was a really bad experience. I took my teenage daughter, who has acne and is already self-conscious and sensitive/sad about it, and the facialist criticized her, made a big deal about how much "work" the facial was, and how she hadn't seen skin so bad in a long time. I was astonished - this place advertises itself as expert in acne care - how could the bed side manner be this insensitive and terrible? She was hostile to my daughter and then rude to me, as she tried to book more facials and sell us products. No thank you to the entire enterprise. read more

Absolutely 11/10 Brazilian wax. This was my first time with Dijana and she was so professional, thorough and detailed. I was blown away by how meticulous she was at getting all the hair. She went above and beyond to wax areas that other places never attend to (upper thighs, all inner thighs, etc). She told me that she "wouldn't be able to sleep at night if there was any hair left," lol. Also her technique made it relatively painless. Soo glad that I was referred to Q Spa! Before coming for my monthly facials, I was very insecure about my skin because I had so many noticeable blackheads and huge pores. All of this had built up over the years and I never did anything about it (oily skin did not help at all). A little over a month ago, I came in for my first facial, the hydra-facial, done by Yufei. She walked me through the process of the facial and explained why she did what she did. She evaluated my skin and recommend how to change my skin care routine. After coming out, I noticed huge changes to my skin right away, smaller pores, more hydrated skin, etc. However, it was a long process of extractions before getting there. After opening my pores with the steamers and other things, she was able to see and extract things that I was not able to see. My face was very red after but it was WORTH IT! The redness and swelling in some areas went down after a few hours and by the next morning, my skin was soo much clearer I came back a month later for the Glow Facial which helped my skin even more! I enjoyed being pampered and not feeling like a number. In fact, the website indicated that this place only takes five appointments each day. I just visited this NEW breath taking spa in the heart of the Gold Coast. It is absolutely beautiful. They are steps off of Michigan Ave across from the Bloomingdales building. The inside of the spa is GORGEOUS, so much attention to detail. Booking an appointment was extremely easy and their website explains all their services. They also carry Valmont skin care.. amazing! I had the brightening clinical facial with Tetyana which was so relaxing. I am pretty picky when receiving a facial since I am also a licensed esthetician but Tetyana was extremely professional and very attentive to all my skin issues. I have also been to Yufei many times and I now LOVE Tetyana just as much. I left with beautiful, glowing, brightened skin. I love that this spa is extremely zen but they are also very focused on results..meaning you will be relaxed but you will also see a HUGE difference in your skin when you leave. I received a deep cleansing facial and a Lipo Cupping massage, and I have to say this is one of the best spa experience I've ever had! The spa facility is very clean and it just looks gorgeous like the pictures! The facial was very detailed and through. I have combination skin and sometimes have breakouts. My skin felt so refreshed, clean and glowing after the deep cleansing facial! The Lipo Cupping massage is on special promotion for only $55 so I just did it for fun but I loved it absolutely! It's performed by a specific machine that mimics chinese Cupping movement and massage movement. Theyre actually very comparable to real massages. The best Brazilian wax by far. It was practically painless, Yufei talked me through the process and made me feel very comfortable. I never thought I would use the word comfortable when it comes to a Brazilian wax but Yufei is so great and knows what she's doing. I have very sensitive skin and usually suffer with red irritated skin for a week post waxing. With Yufei as soon as I was done my skin felt refreshed and no where near irritated, by the time I made it home my skin was no longer red. First, they were very accommodating and made sure I was able to book the appointment at the time I needed (seemed like they had to shuffle some things around). Second, the spa itself (though the building entrance was under renovation) was exceptionally clean, comfortable and relaxing. Third, the staff was very pleasant and very proficient in their craft. Q Spa is awesome! I've only been a couple of times, but it's definitely the best Brazilian wax I've gotten in the city. The estheticians are thorough, clean, experienced and I got ZERO ingrown hairs (something I really struggle with)! They do something called a medical grade Brazilian which uses a solution that minimizes bacteria and infection that could potentially lead to ingrown hairs, especially if you're prone to them. In downtown Chicago there is an amazing place to get a facial. The office is clean and organized and soothing. The towels and sheets are high count first class quality. Fie is very knowledgable about all kinds if skin and skincare needs, and she explained the process and how to care for my skin. After her analysis I received a hydro lifting clinical treatment using the G M Collin 5 step products. The steam began opening my pores and after each wipe of my face she rinsed off a succession of face clothes in the sink with clean water (not using a bowl of dirty water like some other places). Fei used the Ultrasonic machine to peel off the dead skin cells, and soften the pores, and because of that, extractions was easier and not painful at all. Then, Fei used infrared lights to infuse the serum and manipulated acupressure points for lymphatic drainage. Her hand are so skilled and powerful! After this treatment my skin is deeply rehydrated, restored, firmer, looks more radiant and my skin tone looks more even. My face feels like my granddaughter's baby skin, so soft! This is the best facial I have ever had in my life. I would recommend it to people.
