Never again ... I took an appointment for a sculptice session. First of all, I paid 180$ for a session which was supposed to last 90 minutes. It didn't last more than 40 minutes... Secondly, I had already done wood therapy in an other studio - with good results. I can say that they use neither the good material nor the good technique. I had a Detox Sauna Wrap at Flawless yesterday and am feeling amazing today! If you haven't had one before, it's a great way to sweat out a lot of that unhealthy crap you've been indulging in and lose some of your excess water weight. I immediately felt refreshed and woke up this morning feeling lighter (and looking slimmer). I was initially hesitant to check this place out due to the lack of reviews, but am so glad I went. The owner, Dayja, is extremely sweet and knows her stuff. She offers a ton of different services, from waxing and body contouring to lash lifts and facials...among others, and invests a lot of time ensuring she's trained in the latest and greatest beauty trends. She's spent a lot of time in L.A. to make sure she's bringing the newest things back to Chicago. The space is beautifully decorated and calming. You can tell that Dayja's put a lot of thought into making sure this new location (she has one up north too) is a nice little escape for her clients. I passed this place and decided to try it out, simply because it's a few blocks closer than my usual waxing studio. The decor is refreshingly bright and, (as one would hope), very clean. I was immediately greeted and led back for my Brazilian and lip wax. My esthetician was the owner, and she asked whether I preferred soft or hard wax. She said she'd start with hard as it's less painful, then move to soft for stubborn hairs, and pluck at the end if necessary. I've been getting waxed regularly for 12 years, and go often to avoid having to wax a completely grown out area which is the worst. I just wanted a more convenient place, and am SO happy I tried it out because it was the least painful wax I can remember ever having. In addition the service was great, I felt super comfortable, the prices are what they should be and the owner is very chill and nice to chat with (which is always a welcome distraction during a Brazilian). She wasn't as fast as some waxers I've had before, but that wasn't an issue as the results are perfect and she had to deal with me sweating profusely on her table for some reason. PMS? I dunno haha. If you go around the time of this review I recommended bringing cash for a tip. I paid with my credit card but there wasn't an option yet on the monitor to tip - she said she's working on fixing it.
