I got checked in by the receptionist and she instructed I change into the sandals and get settled as I waited. A few minutes later the receptionist grabs her belongings and tells me Mario is finishing by up and will be out to grab me shortly- she then proceeded to leave for the day. I sat in the empty lobby until 5:15p when I got up and decided to ring the front doorbell. Out came Mario the massage therapist and he told me I wasn't on his schedule. I even showed him the email with the confirmation. He called the manager and they said they'd be able to offer me a 45 min massage! I told them it was already too late and I didn't want to over pay for a shorter service. I asked for a refund and they said the charge will be released. No making it right.... No receipt. So frustrating for someone that just got off a 12 hour shift at their very physical job. Time is very valuable.

Shappell was very thorough during the massage. ***however, upon reflection and discussion w a massage therapist friend on mine, I have concerns re consent in the following instances. 1. She told me that she would leave the room for me to undress but did not. 2. She told me to undress to my comfort level, which for me was top and bottom underwear. She then promoted me to remove my bra. 3. She used cupping without asking me before hand or instructing me as to why. Cupping obviously leaves marks on my back which I did not anticipate having following my appointment. This hasn't been a part of deep tissue massages I've had in the past at other places and this was the first time I'd ever have it done. 4. She took pictures of my back after the cupping which I did not consent to her taking. I would not have known she did this had she not shown me afterwards. I hope she has since deleted them. Shappell seems lovely and clearly is a gifted massage therapist. However, I feel very uncomfortable with these aspects and hope they are addressed for future clients.

She's a sweetheart and I love her dearly; I've never met someone so kind and knowledgeable about health and beauty. She truly cares about her clients and their success. Now to the actual massage, first and foremost, lipomassage is not meant to make you lose weight! It's meant to reduce Inflammation of all sorts and boost your healing from inside out. Many people suffer from pain, swelling, lumps etc. This machine works to reduce all sorts of Inflammation. From my experience, I noticed after my massage I feel swollen but within 24 to 48hrs, the swelling reduced and I saw better results as I got more massages. You can't just come once and expect a miracle... remember Rome isn't built in one day! So if you expect to see results, you have to get enough treatment package. I purchased a package of 10 sessions which ran for 35mins. I started seeing big results on my lumps and swelling with diet and exercise at session 5. It is very important to drink alot of water because lipomassage is a lymphatic drainage massage. It helps aid your body to flow the right way and drinking water allows your body to excrete toxins etc. I have no regrets choosing to get this massage because my mind is already set on a healthy lifestyle not a "diet". I would advice if you want to get lipomassage, please be ready to drink alot of water, eat right and exercise. I'm hoping my review will help some of you skeptics. Remember anything worth doing is worth doing well. Stay healthy and beautiful ladies

So I booked an apptmt via lifebooker...my go to for great spa deals…read more www.lifebooker.com/referral/sleopold22 It was $52 for a European facial...fairly cheap and I got to use my reward dollars. The space is confusing. It's inside Sorelle. There's a random set of stairs off to your right when you walk in, but no sign. I had to ask the front desk of Sorelle. The waiting area is meh. A random couch just kind of sitting there. It seemed haphazard. Also, there was no receptionist...which I kind of expected, but I just didnt know where to go or what to do. I am a nazi with time. She was running about 10 mins behind. Boo! Plus, I was on a tight schedule. The facial itself...well I have had a TON of facials and this was the most PAINFUL and unrelaxing as it gets. She used a tool on my face...which I don't mind. However, I do tend to get blackheads and she was scraping my face off. The bad thing about tools is I dont think they know how much pressure they are putting on your face. Literally I was wiggling around on the table like a little kid, tears streaming down my face...YOW! Omg, the worst ever. Like dug out my face...which I typically like, but it has never been this painful. Maybe steaming for longer would have helped open up the pores...? Also, she should have asked me because my face was red for two plus days. I had to wear makeup to cover up the redness. The massage part of the facial was really minimal. After she dug at my face for like 15 mins, it was like wipe, clean, and put on a serum. Overall, I don't think I would go back because it was SO painful...but she really got out a lot...you decide. I was in the mood for a relaxing spa experience and instead got tortured. HA! My blackheads are like almost nonexistent, but I am not sure it was worth the pain.

The room where the massage takes place is quiet and relaxing, complete with aromatherapy. . I practically fall asleep while I'm there, and leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed! She has really become a lifesaver for my husband who does a lot of heavy lifting and physical labor for his job. We are very grateful for Becky and pass her to along to anyone look for a massage in Chicago.

I recently received a hydrating facial from Becky Masters, the owner of Lincoln Square skin Care,…read moreand I was amazed at how she was able to make a visible improvement in my skin in only one hour. I didn't realize how much better my skin would be. My poor face went from dry and flaky (Thank you, Chicago winter!) to soft, smooth, and just generally feeling and looking better. Becky is a professional and clearly knows what she is doing. I dared her to improve my old, worn-out skin, and she met that challenge and more. She made me a believer. And it's not just about looking better; it's also about feeling better. I realized, afterwards, that I wasn't scratching or rubbing my face anymore, because the treatment had made a positive difference. The atmosphere here is very relaxing. The space is beautiful. The soft music piped in helped me to relax, as did the heating pad that Becky has on the bed. I was totally relaxed after the session. If you think that a facial can't make a difference in looks and feel, you are mistaken. I highly recommend seeing Becky for skin care.

Very confused when I walked up...no one to greet or anything so I just sat down & waited in a seat next to a salon chair. I have been to some weird spots...but I felt really odd here. Not sure why. Eventually (Inga I thk) came out & found me. She was super nice & the room was nice. The Endermologie machine was quite massive. She explained what would be happening & the procedure....let me tell you...I'm pretty sure this might have been the biggest scam spa treatment I have ever done. It felt like a vacuum hose sucking on my face (gently) and a drum tapping in the center of the sucking...and for how large the machine was...the applicator tip was extremely small...maybe 1inch by 1 inch?! After a few seconds, she'd lift the device & move to the next area. I did not notice anything different after. My skin literally felt & looked the exact same. They have some sort of membership thing but honestly, I'm pretty sure this treatment is a waste of $$. Two thumbs down for me but Inga was super nice!
