Such great bbq! And their wings are AMAZING! We have been going for years to both the Midlothian and hull street locations. Consistent food quality and taste across both locations. Hubbys favorite is the burnt ends, which I also love. Their bbq (pork and chicken) is so moist and flavorful. The ribs are delicious too! We recently tried the Alabama white sauced wings. The wings were meaty, moist and crispy. SO. GOOD. Two days later I couldn't stop thinking about those wings and my mouth was watering so we went back and got all three types of wings. The others were even better than the Alabama white sauce! The Hush puppies are my favorite, along with great corn pudding and Mac n cheese. This is my go-to bbq place. Very disappointed by the product and customer service I received today. I ordered a barbecue meal and a hotdog to go. Got home and the hotdog was plain. No toppings what so ever. Just a bun and a hotdog. The menu says it come with all these toppings. But when I called to inquire the young lady told me that's the way it comes unless you order it with toppings. What kind of BS IS THAT. Almost $6 for a plain hotdog. And then you didn't ask when you took my order as I assume the hotdog comes as advertised and if I didn't want the toppings I would have said so. So the customer is wrong. Why didn't you ask about what I wanted on it if that was the case. Thank for the shitty customer service. Went to Q BBQ today with the family. I ordered a pulled pork plate with coleslaw and grill. The portions were reasonable. The choice of sauces were not overwhelming and they were all good. My wife got a 2 meat plate(pulled pork and brisket), collards and hush puppies. Again a good amount of food without being over loaded. My mother in law got 2 meat plate with same meats, bake beans and potatoes salad. My child got the kids pulled pork sandwich. It came with Mac and cheese and a cookie. This is the best take out I've had since moving to Virginia. I don't know if I'll be able to eat anyone else's bbq after this meal I just had! My husband and I both ordered the burnt end sandwich and we both were blown away, the meat and the sauce, flavorful and and amazing tender texture to every bite. Every bite I took I would say "oh my god". The corn bread was good, and my sons kid meal, the chicken tenders were fresh. They even threw in 2 chocolate chip cookies, so of course I tried them and once again was blown away, yes by a chocolate chip cookie, it was so good. I eat at Q a couple of times a month. I like their ribs and smoked wings. Their pulled pork is good. They have good sauces, but I wish they had a NC style vinegar based sauce as a choice at the tables. That would take their pulled pork over the top! My wife actually likes their hamburgers. They have good sides, awesome greens, baked beans, I love their corn pudding, and their coleslaw. I will say, they are missing a lot of cool items that are listed on the Q BBQ website like Tacos, chopped Salads, a turkey sandwich, as well as a bunch of sides are not sold at this location. I need to find a location that offers these because they sound delicious! Spicy brussel sprouts, southern friend potatoes, Mexican corn, cucumber tomato salad... Tuffy Stone would not have been a contest contender with the brisket I ate today. I had the brisket platter, mac & cheese and collards. The brisket was dry and salty, the mac and cheese, from a box and the collards were so bland I had to drown them in vinegar. The manager was less than helpful when I asked her about the brisket, it tasted like it was made a couple of days ago. She told me it was fresh, and they make it every day and that she doesn't like or eat the brisket and then walked off. Never offering an alternative to the brisket. I just took the family to Q BBQ for the third time since it opened, and I won't ever be going back. It's just not worth it. The menu is limited and over priced. The portions are very very small. There's no atmosphere in there whatsoever. There is not one side on the menu that I get excited to order ... how does a BBQ place not even have basics like green beans or corn? We just went in there mid-afternoon on a Saturday when there were only two other families in there, and the food still took forever to come out. One of the orders didn't come out until the rest of us were done and we just left it. The folks working there were all very nice, but there's just no reason to go back there. No no no, just no. I travel all around Virgina, North Carolina and live in jersey. I do my own smoking and make sauces that are neighborhood favorites. I love bbq and try to make at least 1 stop each trip... and give reviews when I can. So sorry to this place... rarely do I give a bad review, but with all the Que places around I need to say move on to another place for ribs and banana pudding - because I only got the Ribs and 2 sides with dessert. The other items may be great for all I know. The ribs started off with optimism... served without sauce is always good- let the meat speak for itself. After the very first bit of the ribs, they lost all respect. Way too salty.... and not a good flavor at all... when I doused them with some sauce they were kinda edible- but I ended up tossing half of them in the trash. Sides - "brisket baked beans"- I believe there was a string of meat in them- however the flavor was not good - way too much chili powder taste in the recipe, and in my opinion, onion isn't needed in them. Onion is just a cheap seasoning that's overrated. The cole slaw- was just bad tasting as well. On to the banana pudding... another major disappointment... tastes processed, if not from a powder mix due to it being "grainy". The 'nilla wafers are a requisite- but I don't believe they were the branded cookies, as they didn't taste proper. Needless to say- half the coleslaw, 2/3 of the beans and 2/3s of the pudding accompanied the ribs in the trash. I have come here a few times and am never let down. This time I ordered the pulled pork and ribs platter with greens and fries. I really wanted the brisket but they didn't have any left :( The pulled pork was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of smoke and flavor and not dry at all. The ribs were also very good but could have been a tad more tender. The fries were good and the greens were AWESOME. I definitely recommend the greens as a side. After suggestions from other people on Yelp to try Q BBQ, I decided to give them a second chance, and I am glad that I did. I was pleasantly surprised when I ate lunch there today. Granted, this is a new location and at 4pm there was a line about 15 deep, the service was quick and friendly. I'm somewhat put off by the prices. I got a sandwich and a side with a drink for almost 10$. Not uncommon, just the Arby's of BBQ I suppose. Was surprised they serve beer and wine (even by the bottle) here. I went with the pork sandwich and macaroni and cheese. The pork was really juicy and flavorful, and the macaroni was glaringly pre-made/mixed/packaged. But still was decent. I'd have given the food just 3 stars, but the efficiency and customer service despite the crowd was a 4, so I rounded up.
