This the newest indoor golf establishment that's giving Swingers a run for it's money. I highly enjoyed my time here. Each course has a different theme. When I went there were two course options to play: Art museum and Illusion. They do have a third course called the Conservatory that is now available to play. The place is very whimsical and every hole is has a different design related to the theme. There's two bar areas, one when you enter and another closer to the back of the place where you can grab drinks once you're done playing. Similar to Swingers you can carry your drink with you while you play. It's a great spot of an outing with friends or a date night. The only negative I can think of is the holes are fairly easy so you get through the course pretty quickly. I don't think it took us more than 10-15 mins to go through the entire art gallery. However, there's seating in every nook and cranny so if you get there early or want to hang out after and enjoy some food and drinks you can. read more

Stopped in here on a whim and I honestly can't even review the food or drinks, because it felt like the staff wanted me in there so little I left. Open space. The Christmas bar is priced at 22/Person which isn't the best considering how big the area looked read more

This place was a lot of fun! My bf and I found it last minute & we're happy to learn it has a bar inside and it's 21+! Definitely recommend for a grown family night, date night or for friends! We had a great date night at Puttery tonight! Overall, we thought it was very expensive, but we had fun! We started off with a surprisingly good dinner and drinks. You must get their hand cut fries that are imperfectly cut and perfectly cooked. I have a thing for hand cut fries that have some crispy bits and nice substantial fries too. Their juicy sliders had just the right amount of pickles, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Their flavorful, tender meatballs and red sauce were very good (this coming from a master meatball maker). Seriously. YUM! We were so impressed. Other bars and adult arcades/bowling alleys need to take some pointers from Puttery's chefs. This space is HUGE and really well decorated. There are at least 3 bars and plenty of plush places to sit, eat and drink. AND they have servers on the putt putt courses. Sweet! We moved onto the main event - Putt putt! We started in the "Illusion" room. The putt putt course was fine - but nothing to write home about. The greens were pretty small and we went through the 8 hole course in less than 20 minutes. For $44 for 2 people, we thought it could have been better. One thing we loved was the digital screen to keep score. Nice high tech touch! We decided to do another putt putt and went to the "Art" course next. The course was a little larger and very cool! But, by that time, it was soooo crowded we had to wait for several groups ahead of us to putt. So many people stop to take (excessive) photos, so it takes much longer. Snap your pics and move on people!! I wish they would offer a price to putt all 3 courses. We ended up spending over $150 for just the 2 of us. Pricey but fun. We'll be back. read more

My fiancé and I had a horrible experience at Puttery over the weekend. Extremely overpriced food and rude staff. We waited over 25 minutes to get two cocktails and when we asked the bartender for an update, they brushed us off and said "give us another 10 more minutes." Also.. we order 6 "boneless wings" aka frozen chicken nuggets that were a whopping $18!!! For 6 nuggets!! Please save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

The services was horrible. Took an hour to place our order. Our drinks were ordered never came. The waitress didn't realize we didn't have our drinks until after we finished our starter plate. Then proceeded to tell us they ran out of the item for my drink . Don't get the lemon pepper they are too salty. read more

I honestly can't complain about this place ! Let's start with the front desk everyone is sweet fun and makes you feel as if you've known them Your entire life ! We love a good host ! Let's move on to the bar Mikayla and TJ really took care of us ! I asked them to have a mix off and they both delivered for me and my spouse. Some how they knew exactly what we would both like and the drink was strong so well worth the price. We both a remixed margarita of their choice and listen I promise you ask for the both of them when you get here. Mikayla made me the best spicy margarita in addition to my regular one. I'm iffy on spicy margaritas and they know how to do it not too spicy literally the perfect balance. If you hate spicy margaritas you'll love this if you love them you'll adore these. We ordered food at the bar and the service was great the bar staff was very friendly. Jay at the bar also made sure to put our orders in and checked in on us several times ! We ordered the fries and they really relate to boardwalk fries like they are in neck and neck. The pizza we got was Sausage and hot honey. It was pretty good I would want more than the oil sauce but the flavors were good. The beef sliders speak for themselves honestly !! So back to service I got to meet Jay the owner/manager and this man was the sweetest person ever. He checked on us while here , he let us know a bit about the courses and the drinks. They also have three different bars !! Every person we ran into had great service and they make you want to come back the next day ! Very well worth it. It's $22 per person which isn't bad especially being In the city. We also got a break down and instructions of the course. They hyped you up to want to be whomever you're playing with. Everyone checks on you throughout your game to make sure you're having fun , checking whose winning and to see if you need anything. We chose the art course to start with and listen if youre competitive please choose this one. Each course has their own signature drink which sets them apart so much ! The decor is beautiful and the game is fun ! You also can come just to have a drink and eat and relax with friends and family ! They also have private rooms read more

I really enjoyed myself at this DC Puttery location this past weekend. We came in for a date night on Saturday and were instantly singing along to the music flooding speakers from the DJ at the center bar. The drinks are pricy, but the bartender was pleasant, quick and had good technique. They have a menu of variety, but we chose to try the Ancho wings for a small bite - standard buffalo wings. The mini golf rooms are split into different terrain and decor groups. We chose the Art Museum option which is inspired by Andy Warhol. Everything I could see was very well-maintained. I would come back here. read more

As others have said, the courses are really short. Some of the holes are almost just a straight shot, with maybe a bump in the turf as your obstacle. We did the conservatory and the illusions rooms. In the conservatory, there was no line, and we finished in 15 minutes. The system that tracks your swings stopped responding at hole 7, but luckily we weren't really competing and so weren't too annoyed. There were two groups in front of is in the illusions room, which slowed pace of play. Honestly, I was grateful for it. All in, we (2 people midday on a weekday) paid ~$50 for 45 minutes of subpar mini golf. I wouldn't go back or recommend it to others. read more

I had a date night here on Saturday and it could've been a better experience. I booked a Friday tee time by accident and tried calling to change. On all my attempts to get ahold of someone here, I was always unable to. Then I tried the online route. Again, no response. I was able to talk to the check-in agent who allowed me to use the reservation fee from Friday (you pay up front) to use for Saturday. Some of the staff here were very rude. Overall, the courses suck and the service was pretty horrible. I decided to give it 2 stars as it's a fun date spot. The vast majority of people here were on dates. The customer service by phone, online, and in person is a 1 star for sure. read more

Had such a great time here for a date night! We had three rooms to choose from with different themes. They have left and right-handed clubs. The courses increase in difficulty as you progress through the holes. You can order drinks as you play which can make things extra interesting. They also sell food and have a full bar/restaurant to take advantage of before or after your game. We definitely plan to return! The staff were super friendly and it's a great place for photo opts!! read more

I've heard so much about Puttery so I was excited to finally go! It's very much worth the hype. The aesthetic is definitely giving. It's so cute and welcoming. They have different rooms to play the mini golfs; I did the illusion and the conservatory (the one with the plants and the cherry blossoms). I do wish there was more than 9 courses in each room. I was there with a friend and it went by pretty fast. When we did the second game, we took our time, take photos, and just enjoy the vibes. I got pizza and it was meh. I wouldn't come here for the food anyway. I'll be coming back! read more

One of the fun activities in DC- mini golf! I had a nice time here trying out my golfing skills. Multiple different courses to try out during your timeframe there. Make sure to reserve a timeframe on line beforehand, then you also pay for how ever many rounds you're playing within that time slot. This is a 21+ venue. Bar right when you enter as well as course attendees that can assist you with drink orders while you are on the course. They are very nice and attentive while you're golfing. There is a spot to put your drinks down at the start of every hole near the score board. read more

I had the best time here ! I only did one course - the illusion course - but it was so aesthetically pleasing and done well for a mini golf. Now I thought the course was going to be much longer but take note they're very short. At least you don't have to manually track your score or where to go next because of theres an iPad that keeps up with you and your team. I had a rum drink here that was soooo delicious as well and I love the adults only aspect. Very classy fun date ! read more

I've been wanting to come here for awhile, so we stopped by when we had some down time around the holidays. I love this location - I used to frequent it when it was a restaurant - and it's a beautiful, conveniently located space. We didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't super crowded and we were able to get a tee time right away. A lot of people were hanging out in the bar area, so I'd want to try their food next time. All of the staff were nice and helpful, and someone checked us in at the course we selected. Some of the courses weren't open, including the conservatory that I really wanted to try, so we chose the art museum course. It was cute and colorful, and we enjoyed it. The only thing is that it was really short! We were done in about 20 minutes and that was with taking our time. I think for the price, which ended up being a bit over $50 for two people, you should get to try at least two courses. Overall, it was a fun experience though. read more

I highly recommend Puttery as a venue for corporate events. Whitney, Yaya, and the Puttery team made sure that our group was fully taken care of! Puttery DC was the perfect spot for drinks, food, and friendly competition. Spoiler alert: I tied for 2nd place. I ordered the Classic Margherita & Sausage Pesto Pizzas. Note that you have to be 21+ to enter! read more

Have come to puttery twice now and both times had an overall fun but underwhelming experience. I've done both the art museum and illusions course and both are only 9 holes. Both courses I got through in 10-15 minutes. If it's more crowded, maybe 30 minutes tops. On top of that the course are mad easy to the point they're kind of boring. The best part about the course is the tech they've added so an iPad keeps score for you and you don't have to walk around with pen and paper. That's definitely a neat addition that adds to the overall experience. Given the price and shortness of the courses, your ticket should allow two games. That would definitely make it feel like you were getting more of your moneys worth. At one game, its way overpriced. Since the course goes by so fast it's almost not worth getting a drink on the course. You don't get your drink until you're nearly on the last hole and that's only if a server asks when you start. I've never tried the food, the drinks aren't bad but overpriced. While Puttery overall isn't a bad experience they unfortunately have to compete with Swingers which is a much better experience in the challenge and fun of the game and the drinks and food offered. One thing Puttery does offer is really good and kind service in a super central location. It's a great place for a work event/professional event. It's worth checking out but keep your expectations relatively low. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for a date and did not enjoy my experience. The bar itself was nice and had a cool ambiance, but the service was not great and the overall experience was not worth the price. We didn't order food so I can't speak to that, but our cocktails were overpriced for the simple drinks they served us. Also, the mini golf is definitely NOT worth it. They offer 3 courses that were really basic and lacked any real challenge or creativity. It felt like they just threw together simple obstacles without much thought. Additionally, the layout was cramped--everything was packed into a small area, making it difficult to play without getting stuck behind another group for a while. We were ready to stop playing halfway through the first course, but kept playing to get our moneys worth. We ended up leaving before finishing the third course. I wish I would've read some reviews before going rather than only looking at their website. Overall, would not recommend and will likely not be returning. read more

A very interesting concept. Puttery has three indoor 9-hole courses: Illusion, Art, and the Conservatory. It has at least three different bar areas. Drinks aren't cheap but you're in downtown DC. Fun! This is a surprisingly HUGE place, with three 9-hole mini-golf courses, at least two bars, and at least three (maybe four or five?) dining areas / lounges. The golf courses each have their own vibrant theme, and they are all fun even while being straightforward and simple-ish to play. I felt like the lounges in the front - with plush, comfortable seating - had an old-school casual-elegant vibe to them, while the large dining area and bar midway through The Puttery had more of a warm, coffee-shop vibe. There also seemed to be one or two event or small-group spaces near the front part of The Puttery. Eating-wise, the pizza was very enjoyable, as were the fries, and I would happily order both again. The staff across the board was friendly and attentive. It's a pricy time, but you're in downtown DC at a stylish place so that shouldn't be a surprise. One note: Each of the bars is separate as far as tabs/purchases go, so you'll need to pay at each one before leaving. read more

Great bar but subpar indoor mini golf. Mini golf is $22 per person and only had 9 holes, it goes by really quickly (and I'm not a very fast player). We played the art room which was cute but didn't think the holes were particularly creative, each hole was par 2 if thats any indication of how small the courses were. Each mini golf place has a different speciality drink menu, however nobody came by to take our drink orders. They do have a tablet to keep score which was pretty cool. The lounge/bar area is a cool looking spot and has tons of seating. We ordered the Brumble and Dinner at the Louvre drinks which were really tasty! We also ordered the fries to go with it and weren't really impressed, they were not crispy and were pretty mediocre. Overall I would not go back for mini golf but would go back to hang out at the bar area! read more

Pricing, 2/5: Lowkey feel like it's overly priced. You're just paying for the aesthetic. You only play 9 holes inside of the typical 18 holes of mini golf. You pay DC prices, so if you want to just go there for pictures, I guess it's not so bad. Service, 3/5: It was pretty quick to get in, but the only reason why I dropped 2 points is because after we were do, we were trying to get some food, but there was no one there to help to take our order. We waited like 15 mins and just ended up leaving after finishing our game. Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 5/5: Like I said you're paying for the aesthetic. The way they created it is amazing. The artwork and the golf holes are unique and fun! Also the scoring is all electronic which is cool! No more math for you lol. Overall Experience, 3/5: Overall, I'm not surprised that it's over hyped... It's DC for you. It's fun for a one time experience, but honestly I don't think it's that worth it to go there. read more

Classic pricier specialized game bar, but the games are executed pretty poorly. The courses were incredibly underwhelming for mini golf as they were all pretty straightforward 2 par putts. Don't get me wrong, the aesthetic is wonderful but the design of the course did not match the effort in the art of the establishment. There was a lot of potential to match the themes and really make the holes more whimsical. Beyond that, the place is well kept, score tracking worked fine on a giant screen, cocktails keeps their business alive. Was just hoping for there to be a bit more golf, but I might be an outlier. read more

Cool place if you want to do mini golf while drinking lol. They have three different themed courses and two/three bars. A group of us were looking for an activity since the Texans-Browns game was worse than expected. It was a bit cold for Top Golf, so we gave this place a try. I played the Illusions course and the Art course. Illusions seemed a lot easier, but the challenge of Art was welcomed. There's a lot of space for groups, and you can even order drinks without leaving the course. It's also a quick walk to Capital One Arena if you want to pregame a Wizards/Caps game. Had a ton of fun at puttery DC! However, a few things made our experience less than 5 stars. We went to order our first round of drinks and they were all out of everything we tried to order. What bar is out of white claws on a Saturday night?! We tried to order Stella as a second choice and they were all out of that too! So we were down to our third choice and still had to wait a while for drinks! When we walked in they asked about our reservation and acted like we didn't have one for a second until they found it. It was nice they had a coat check I really appreciated that! During our first round of drink orders we tried to do order modelo and the bartender told us they were all out. However, we saw in a cooler at a different bar they had plenty of them, as well as the second bar that was closed when we got there. So rather than running downstairs and grabbing us what we wanted they told us they didn't have any. We then saw groups of patrons drinking it on the course even after they told us they were all out! I loved how they had cup holders on every hole! Every course was fun and the $30 for 90 minutes was a fair price and amount of time - you definitely need the 90 mins to play all three. We had a ton of fun playing mini golf. All of the staff was friendly to us and it's not their fault that the bar wasn't stocked but as customers it was frustrating to not have what we ordered from the menu available. Had they been stocked we'd have ordered more and spent more money! Another thing was that there was a very foul smell in parts of the establishment - could have been a sewage pipe that burst I am not sure- but it was very off putting. Thankfully that was only a part of the place but still not pleasant. Also, one of the bathroom stalls was out of order and did not flush! Overall we had a good time but it would have been even better had they had in stock the drinks they had on the menu! To the credit of the staff they were friendly and apologetic of the inconvenience and the other parties all seemed to be having fun and were kind and respectful. It's definitely a fun concept and would consider coming back with friends! But there's a few issues I believe management needs to fix to get 5/5. read more

Came here for free and still felt ripped off. The bar space and ambiance are very cool, and I really enjoyed the decor! However, the mini golf was a slap in the face, even for my low standards of "hip" indoor courses. This is a one dimensional course you can breeze through in 5 minutes, with astronomically boring paths covered up by randomly placed abstract art. For such a cool looking place, so much more could have been done. Don't come for the golf. read more

I am such a fan of Puttery DC! I didn't do a reservation and walked in with a party of 3. We waited about 30 minutes which was great because we were able to grab seats at the bar and try a few of there delicious cocktails! We played the Art Gallery course and for all of my artsy friends, it's truly like walking through a museum! From hints of Andy Warhol to Pollock, amazing! The course was fun but challenging so it definitely makes for a fun evening. You finish your 9 holes and walk into the lounge area which was so stunning! We sat down right by large windows and were immediately greeted by servers. Truly a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back to try the other courses. I must say I enjoyed this much more then Swingers. Here's a synopsis of the drinks and food we tried: Drinks: Taste the Greenery- 10/10 so refreshing and it packs a punch! Brumble- 9/10 the last one we got was a little bitter but it was definitely tasty Puttery Old Fashion- 8/10 BBQ on a Saturday (forgot the exact name)- 10/10 my cousin loved this drink Food: Fries- 8/10 could use a pinch more of seasoning and the ketchup or equivalent was more of a marinara so it was different but good Fire Shrimp- 10/10 if you love creole/Cajun spices you'll love these succulent and spicy shrimp Sliders- 10/10 read more

This was my first time coming to Puttery. It is a great date night spot . All the staff was very inviting and accommodating. The location is absolutely beautiful, wonderful decor. There are three courses you can chose to putt (conservatory, art, or illusion). I chose the Art course since it featured pop art. They had Andy Warhol, Basquiat, etc. We had the option to eat before we played so we chose that and had a few drinks. I got the tequila standoff. It was really tasty. I highly recommend. I paired it with the Spicy Hawaiian Pizza. It was very tasty with the sautéed onions, pineapples and jalapeños. They play really good early 2000s music I must add! They give you a time to start the course when you first come in the establishment . Ours was 9:30pm. There are 9 holes. You can order drinks while you play if you like. I beat my partner. I can't wait to go back and putt the other courses. read more

So I planned a company outing to putters and I would say 10/10 would recommend. The staff was extremely friendly, the decor of the building is just amazing. And the food was great. For the catering options we had the choice of different boards. So I chose as wing board, burger board, and a veggie board. There was plenty to drink as well. The courses weren't exactly easy either. We had a blast. I don't putt putt often so I did get a few concerns around the price for there to only be nine holes, instead of 20, but they've curated a vibe and experience so I think that's apart of the cost.
