Orchard 75
Peter D.

*I came here for a corporate holiday party. I did not golf here (though I would like to in the future) and had drinks/food here* The backspace had enough room for 50+ folks. We had open drinks, and I got two drinks - the orchard 75 and a normal rum and coke. Both drinks were alright, and the buffet options were pretty standard food quality wise. I think it's unfair to rate my experience too low because I missed the golfing experience, so 4 stars seems decent enough.

This was disorganized, slow, and ultimately not worth it. We attended the Holly Jolly Christmas Bar event at Puttery, and unfortunately, it was a letdown from the very start. The $22 ticket included 90 minutes of access and a "welcome cocktail" from a list of three but one of those, the toasted marshmallow, wasn't even available when we were seated. That was frustrating. We tried the Jolly Pear 75 instead, and it was so bitter and unpleasant neither of us could finish it. Ironically, when we later ordered the toasted marshmallow (which had become available), it was actually very good. Too bad it wasn't an option from the start. The space itself was noisy, with putting players right next to the bar seating, which I hadn't realized ahead of time. Not exactly the holiday vibe we hoped for. Worse yet, our server disappeared for long stretches, and the service was incredibly slow. With a timed 90-minute experience, that really impacted the night & it felt like we spent most of it waiting. Food was a mixed bag. The meatballs were excellent, but the fries just tasted only like oil. 100% not worth it. To top it all off, when the bill came, a 20% gratuity had already been added. I always tip, and usually well, but I don't appreciate being forced into it, especially with lackluster service. Or selecting the gratuity usually reserved for good service. All in all, this felt like a waste of time and money. It had potential, but the execution fell flat. I won't be returning.

Randomly stopped in. Had a tour of the puttery rooms by Tony, who was super nice. Their Halloween bar should be open by now, looks fun! The young man who was the hostess was also really nice. Cartier, who worked the front bar, was awesome I had the hot chicken meal. I only ate the fries at the bar, and tore them up!!!!!!!!!!!! they were sooo good. I ended up giving my sandwich to an unhoused person - i hope he enjoyed it! Low key hip hop music started playing @ 615pm-ish at the bar area Place is good for group events also

I had an amazing time at the Puttery. We started off with food & drinks which both were amazing. That spinach dip and mumbo sauced wings were great recommendations from our server. We played unlimited miniature golf during our time there. The energy was unmatched and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to come back as there's multiple bars to order drinks from.

I had a pretty good time playing golf here. Each room was fun, bright, colorful and on theme. Some of the holes were kindof difficult to maneuver however I do understand the difficulty level increases as each hole increases. Also I was hoping the rooms were decorated with the winter theme as well however it was just the restaurant area.

I stumbled upon this place by accident as was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The 3 unique 9 hole courses offer a fun challenge for any skill level. Even better is the technology that's present on each hole. The tablets allow you to keep score on each hole rather than carrying around the pencil and scorecard. That same technology allows you to brag to your friends as your score is showcased for all to see. Gloat away and have fun

Old Bay Hot Honey Wings with Margaritas (Pineapple + Blackberry)

Stopped in for Happy Hour last week and we were unsure if there was table service since we weren't approached so we ended up at the bar. Our bartender was very friendly and had good suggestions. I went with the pineapple marg while my bf chose the blackberry marg. Both were pretty sweet and okay! They were missing a lime or sweet/sour flavor. For food, I highly suggest the Old Nay Hot honey wings -- they're delicious and a great deal for HH. We did try the Oxtail Truffle Pizza (not pictured) but we weren't impressed. It was just okay! Since we didn't do miniature golf, this review is for the bar/restaurant side only. I'd definitely go back and try other menu items!

The Halloween theme is so cute but the experience itself isn't worth what we paid for. The drinks on the menu are supposed to be interactive and fun but they were not. They had no dry ice and I'm not sure why we weren't told that before we ordered. The service was super slow and we had to flag our server down every time we needed something, idk what she was doing but she wasn't tending to tables. Overall this is the worst pop up experience I ever had. I didn't even bother trying the food because I was so underwhelmed by the drinks aka the whole reason we came. The experience is 90 minutes and I was there for about 20. Don't waste your money on this folks. I ended up going to Nandos next door

Another area of mini golf

Found this place on accident and glad I did! I had time to burn after dropping teens off at a concert and this was a great spot to spend a few hours at. Highlights:: The employees were great! I first encountered bartender Robert at the back bar. He was friendly, made great drinks and provided good food recommendations! Kudos to him! The manager on shift 1 April in the evening was awesome as well and fostered a positive environment for her staff... way to be a leader and not just a manager! They have a few happy hour times so I got to mini golf and enjoy wings/drinks. Forgot to take a pic of the wings but flavor was old bay honey... perfectly cooked and love that they use multi color carrots and ranch was delicious. The mini golf is three separate areas with 9 holes each. You use an electronic screen to keep score, super cool! Planning to get a group together to do a DC trip and making this a spot to come back to!

Came for a "ditch work day" with my friend. It was pretty empty but we had a good time! They had a special that allowed us to putt unlimited. We had a few drinks and just took our time doing all the courses. She had a good time and brought her husband back another day. Definitely would be a nice group date or single date idea.

Came here to celebrate my friend's birthday this past weekend and had so much fun! There are three different courses all with different themes, so of course we explored them all. All the courses had cool backgrounds for photos! We also got the meal deal where you get an appetizer and entree for around $40, including the unlimited mini golfing. There were many good food choices to choose from. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the veggie tostados. Huge portions and both very good! None of us were able to finish our food and had enough for leftovers for the next day!

My husband and I played some mini golf at Puttery this weekend, and it was just okay. The courses have seen better days (it felt old and worn out), and all the bars were closed except for the one at the entrance before you get to the courses (the other large bar was closed for a private event, but the small ones near the courses were all closed). We also had issues with families with young kids being jerks on one course (the parents weren't watching their kids who get cutting groups in line for the courses and then taking about 100+ swings on the hole). I've been to another indoor mini golf experience in DC, and that one was definitely better (didn't feel as rundown, had more open bars, and seemed to be adults only - if there were kids, I don't remember them). At the price you pay, I'm not intending to return to Puttery.

Came for some team bonding with my coworkers. This place is in the heart of DC close to museums and the capital one arena. We ubered in but I know this area and know this place would be really difficult to park in. I recommend ride share or Metro. The place is adorable. You enter a beautifully themed area with some lounge seating and a bar. We had a reserved area where we had some drinks and apps to share. We did have a tee-time and we were split into groups of 4-5 to play mini golf through some really cute and instagrammable rooms! My favorite was the Warhol themed room. You track your scores on tablets at each station and there's a lot of opportunity for pictures! When you get to the end, there is a display with everyone's scores. Upon exiting, we saw that there was a whole nother huge bar and lounge area in the back. We were there in a weekday so it was too slow to open up the bar back there, but I imagine this back bar would be a great place to hang out on a weekend!

It looks like there are now all ages hours until 4pm on weekends. Is it ok to make a round reservation for a group with kids in early afternoon (Saturday)? The system still asks to confirm that all players are 21+.

The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The drinks tasted watered down and unbalanced. The banana flavor in mine was dull and overripe rather than fresh and vibrant. The smoke and fire presentation was nice, but the actual cocktails did not justify the $25 price point. The restroom was unacceptable. There was urine on the floor, a strong foul odor, and the surface was slippery. For a speakeasy positioning itself as upscale, this was a major miss. The space is very small and service was just okay. Overall, the concept has potential, but the execution did not meet expectations. I will not be returning.

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. We tried two standout drinks that I can't recommend enough: the Attractive Nuisance and El Tiburon, (which is an Old Fashioned made with gin). The bartenders here clearly know what they're doing, each drink was crafted with care and precision. Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. I literally tasted all the flavors in the drink and the liquor ratio was just right. Of course I went with another round, you simply have to try it understand why I did. His drink: El Tiburón-Let's just say that he said that this is now one of his favorite cocktails because it was smooth! Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening! As I stated earlier, this has now become a regular on the list and I'm excited to visit again.
