I came to Wild Days for a 30 and up rooftop event for Memorial Day. Parking around the Eaton can be difficult, but thankfully I found a spot in front of the entrance. Wild Days is a decent size on the inside, but as far as rooftops go, the outside balcony isn't the biggest. They do have tables, high chairs, and lounge chairs for relaxing. I ordered a Pistolgrip Pump, which consisted of Wild Turkey Bourbon, Courvoisier, Italian Chocolate, and Mr Black. I've been to Wild Days twice - one for the bar and one time for a private event. Drinks were more like 3 stars but I really liked the space and the views, hence the 4 stars. This place is at the rooftop of the Eaton hotel and has a solid view of some of the city center buildings. I like how it has an outdoor area with big tables but also couches. The heat lamps definitely warm the space enough. On the inside, there is a big enough space for a dance floor and a DJ booth. Mini tables and big couches along the outer edge. Drinks wise - the G&T and margs were pretty standard, but strong. They do a have a cocktail menu but it was hard to find and the staff wasn't very straightforward about it. I can see this as a nice venue to host a small party or somewhere to kick back with friends the next time I'm in DC! read more

Went to the establishment and had a pretty decent time. I left my event with an open tab, about 30 mins after the event I noticed I didn't have my card. I went back to retrieve my card and close my tab, the team indicated that they already closed the tab. I asked for a receipt and of if I needed to sign anything the team indicated no and reiterated that the tab was closed. When I checked my statement, I was charged $108 for 2 cocktails and a ginger beer, even with tax, gratuity and a service fee I was overcharged or someone helped themselves to a $50+ tip. I was waiting to be seated at allegory. The elevator man informed me that there was a rooftop bar with a chill vibe. It was awesome. Not busy yet as it was only 10pm and it was a clubby vibe. It got busier as I chilled. A few people were dancing. I liked it because the music was good and it was just comfy and unassuming. I walked around the rooftop. Had a drink. And everything was grand. I finally stopped by Wild Days for the first time since the Covid pandemic, and I don't know what happened but the service seems to have diminished. We stopped by for happy hour and were seated immediately since we had a reservation, but also there didn't seem to be a wait. The inside is still similar and really nice looking, but the cocktail we had was so so bad, neither me nor my friend could take more than 3 sips of it - it was called panda panda and I'm not sure if it was just supposed to taste so awful. Then, we ordered the pibil chicken tacos, which was so dry and barely tasty. Unfortunately I don't know what was happening at the bar or kitchen, but it wasn't giving anything on that day. Why are there 5 people behind the bar, laughing and talking with each other, while guests wait to be serviced-and even that was record-breaking for longest wait time to be given a tasteless drink. Ambiance is cute! Very nice rooftop. But that's where it stops. Also, please do not come here with a desire to grab some small bites, the menu is very limited and not worth the carbs. Would I return? Someone told me to give them a try when they have a DJ and themed party. Came here for a reservation at 7:30 tried to get food and the waitress told us the kitchen was closed. She offered us a hummus board that we didn't want but thought was the only option. We see 2 different orders of sandwiches come out and we get who we think is the waiter but is apparently the manager and ask about the kitchen and he says it closes at 10:30. We tell him the waitress told us the kitchen is close and he laughs and doesn't offer any other options even though is only 10:19. On the hunt for a rooftop bar for a very special event, Wild Days came up in my searches. It's on the rooftop of Eaton Hotel -- heard of it before?? Yes, it's the same hotel that houses Allegory, one of the many hidden speakeasies in DC. I had made a reservation online for this special event, but wanted to make sure we could sit outside since there wasn't an option for that. One thing you should know about this place is that it's hard to get in touch with anyone -- they don't have their own phone, and I had been given multiple emails that all bounced back when I tried to ask a question. So, one time I was in town to meet up with a friend, I decided to swing by this place to get all my questions answered. I made my way up to the rooftop, and the hostess was super polite and accommodating. She answered all my questions and made sure that we got our outside slot. In the meantime, I decided to indulge in their happy hour. Gotta make sure their drinks are good for this special event right?? Their happy hour is from 5-6 during the week -- literally an hour lol -- and they have a small handful of creative cocktails. When I sat at the bar, I looked around and loved the vibe of the place. It was bright with the sun coming in, and there were tables spread out around the area. I could see where the DJ performs (comes every Saturday night) and the outdoor area. From the bar I could see what views are possible from the outdoor area, and it looked awesome! Back to the bar, I was greeted by the bartender and got to try two of their creative cocktails: So Fresh, So Clean - I really enjoyed this refreshing one, which had gin, cucumber, sherry and lime in it. Ain't No Rest For The Wicked - It was a bourbon-based drink spiced up with vanilla and dram, and it was delicious, but a very different mood from the above. I didn't try any food on this occasion, but was pleased with my experience, and looking forward to the special event. Fast forward to the night, a party of 9 of us arrived right on time for our reservation, and I skipped ahead upstairs just to make sure everything was okay. We were good to go, so I signaled the rest to come upstairs, and we got the very edge of the outdoor seating -- it almost felt private, and it was beautiful! We shared cocktails, shooters and shots (again no food), and everyone was very happy, especially the man of the hour. Prices were on par for a rooftop bar, and the vibes were everything I had hoped for. I do need to come back and try the food, but otherwise... I loved the heck out of this place. TL;DR: Don't go here is you are a cash payer! They will not give you all your change back! It's a "policy" to always round the bill UP. More detailed version: I prefer to spend cash at bars because I've been mis- and over-charged at bars more often than at other types of businesses. I was there 03.21.25, and I had a tab of $64.68. That was for a plate of wings, and two drinks. I gave the bartender a $100 bill (and asked her if a 100 was OK, and she said "sure"). She returned a few minutes later with 35 singles. I sort of said ... UM, I wish I had known that you only had singles for change, and she assured me it was "no problem". I clarified, actually, it's a problem for me, I'm not sure if I can fit 35 bills in my wallet! And I had different bills in hand, but I thought it would be an easy break of a c-note. I requested some more reasonable change, and a few minutes later, someone else provided her with a 20, a 10, and a 5 bill. I asked her where was the rest of my change? It was only $0.32, but at this point, it was an issue of principle. She said when a customer pays cash, they always round the bill UP to the dollar. I said "Do you mean, you always round to the NEAREST dollar?" and she clarified, no, they always round the bill UP. She explained what rounding was to me, and I didn't even have the heart to tell her how that that's just not how rounding works. It would have been beyond her comprehension. I asked her if that was a standard policy, and she said "Yes". I told her that's NOT OK - you're keeping money that I'm owed, and I'm not sure if it's even legal. She said it's their policy. I'd love to note the name of the bartender, but the receipt was opened and closed by "Wild Days". So, any of us that have ever worked a register knows they are using the same login for every employee. Sloppy as heck. If a manager cares, this was check # 28588. Look it up! I was so perturbed, I actually kept the receipt that showed a total tab of $64.68, a total tender of $100, and change of $35.32. I showed that to her at the time, and she tried to explain to me how rounding works again.. so I gave up. Wings were 6/10, drinks were 4/10. It must be nice to have a nearly captive audience if you set your bar on top of a hotel. Perhaps you can just get away with keeping customers money. Never went back, and we were staying at the hotel for a further 4 nights. Their loss. read more

Phenomenal! Who knew so much coolness would be unleashed at the top of the Eaton Hotel? Apparently, he did! What an awesome surprise! The decor of this year round rooftop gem reminds me of a beautiful night in sexy Miami! We opted to sit indoors (they have amazing heat lamps outside along with areas to make s'mores!!) to take in the melodic sounds of a super cool and hip DJ who rocked out with head bopping lounge music mixes. I was so surprised to hear her mix up some old school rap in her beats! The music moved us so much, we got up and danced! The vibe and energy was amazing! We weren't too hungry, but wanted to try the "raved about" "These are tacos" tacos lol He had the duck and I had the kalbi. His were by far, much more flavorful than mine but mine were tasty. He enjoyed a glass of champagne while I remain dry during my alcohol detox. First impression review! Wild Days is one of those spots that has alot of picturesque hype...except it's not hype. Beautiful interior and a rooftop that provides a green and natural vibe. I came in without a reservation on a Thursday with coworkers. While we were accommodated, the rooftop fills up quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. The star deduction is for the limited happy hour drink and food menu. While the offerings for happy hour are good, it would be nice to have a few additional options. My group ordered a mix of happy hour (rose, daily punch) and the regular cocktails. I didn't try any tacos but I heard from another member of the group that they were good. Justine was the server for the table ! She was amazing ! I had arrived well before my party and she helped me get situated and captured some really amazing photos. She allowed for the party to work out the check and was really down to earth. She has a great personality and exceed great customer service I also want to give props to Will the bartender who made great lemon drop shots! The rooftop view is amazing. It's great scenery for pictures and gatherings. What makes this place stand out is that also has a covered rooftop area with couches, tables, Great Wall Art, and has a Dj! I also like that it's a fancy place but doesn't have a "stuck up" vibe like many of the rooftops in dc. Happy hour ends at 6pm. It would be awesome if Wild Days considered a longer happy hour. Wild days has a lot of potential! The drinks are strong and creative and they had a live dj. However, it's a weird vibe because they don't really have a dance floor (at least when I was there). It's more of a standing and table-service bar, but the music is blasting at such a high volume that it's impossible to have a convo. Get rid of the tables and cocktail bar vibe if you're going to blast music. Also, it's annoying because if you're sitting at the table, you have to order with the waiter. I highly recommend coming during happy hour as the drinks are regularly priced at $16 but are $8 during HH. They also offer a small assortment of Mexican-inspired dishes. We shared the tortilla chips with trio of salsas. The avocado/salsa verde was definitely the favorite. Our waiter refilled our chips multiple times, but charged us each time. The drink menu is tight & creative. I got the coffee cocktail, which had vodka, espresso liqueur, and a biscotti simple syrup. If you like espresso martinis, you'll love this one. Service was spotty, with our waiter being attentive at times and totally absent at others. You'll just need to be proactive when you need another drink. read more

Love love love everything at Eaton DC but I especially love this rooftop. Came here Saturday around 3ish for some food and drink. I ordered the guacamole and chips + short rib tacos, along with the Plug on Oaxaca. The guacamole was delicious, tasted super fresh and had the perfect of lime. The fresh tomatoes and cilantro on top were also a good touch. The short rib in the tacos was really well-seasoned and the kimchi added the perfect kick to the dish. The Plug on Oaxaca was yummy, so long as you like the smokiness of Mezcal. The atmosphere was very chill but inviting and excited at the same time. The music/dj is always so good here it's a shame the drinks are so expensive. A lemon drop shot for $30 is not worth it my opinion so my advice is to drink elsewhere and come for the music and dancing. Also there's couches throughout but you can't sit at any of them because they are strictly reserved for bottle service. However, I have yet to see anyone get bottle service. Well, I had to flag our waitress down to put in an order after a long wait, and hardly saw her after that. In my limited interaction with her, she had an attitude. And she didn't just roll her eyes at me, she rolled her eyes at my friends as well. That being said, I'm giving them zero stars for service. Another issue was the refreshments. Their menu didn't have a lot of options and when I asked to order their "wake up" cocktail the waitress said they ran out of the ingredients for that. Then when I asked to order wings the waitress said they ran out of wings. I ended up ordering a few lemon drops, which by the way were over priced ($30 each) and mediocre. I didn't eat anything but my friend got a chicken sandwich, which to my surprised had potato chips on the side --I don't know who they think they're fooling but I know yellow bag lays potato chips when I see em. I firmly believe they could compete with a taco joint. Cocktails are around $15, but made strong. Concoct your own drink from their list of spirits. Yesterday, I even called ahead and asked if the roof was open to grab drinks. I specifically asked if there was a private event occurring and was told there was not. Upon walking through DC to the hotel and taking the elevator up, my friend and I were asked if we were there for the private event and told we could not stay. We were extremely agitated, as we were told on the phone that the roof would be open. I have found that there is a lack of concern and communication at the Eaton Hotel. This rooftop bar is the place to be! I first heard about it on Instagram and was curious about the regular DJ sets they have. They announce them pretty close to the event date so if you're interested you can sign up to get alerts when they post on IG. When you arrive it's not obvious where it is so you can enter at Eaton then go right to the elevators and take it up to the roof. Once there, you can walk through the hall to get to Wild Days. It's an open space with the DJ on a platform kind of in the middle and you'll hear an eclectic mix of music. The night I was there they were bumping a lot of Latin music and oh were people DANCING! The food is amazing. I saw someone else get the Pibil nachos and copied and pasted that order so fast. All the drinks are safe bets too especially the Next Lifetime. Another thing to love is the rooftop deck. There's a nice view and the seating is cozy. The deck is a bit less noisy if you're planning a date or group outing where you wanna have more intimate conversations. Also note that there's Allegory bar downstairs within Eaton as well if you're looking for that speakeasy vibe too! read more

This was our first time at Wild Days and we were BLOWN AWAY. We were able to catch some rays on the Patio with our wonderful host Justine. She walked us through the happy hour specials and when the rain rolled in she graciously guided us to a table indoors. From there our experience elevated tremendously. Shanti was walking by and noticed our bag on the floor. He came back with a chair to put our bag on. Can you say floored?!?! We have never had that happen and we were delighted by his extreme customer service. Kelvin was walking around and noticed us and he ensured we had a good time. He recommended some bites for us and every bite was delicious! From the duck tacos to the vegan bites our stomachs were delighted. Not only did he recommend them he brought them out and walked us through the flavor profile. I felt like I was at a chefs table. If I could give 10 stars I would. Super cute and romantic/fun date spot. This rooftop bar sits on top of the Eaton hotel in DC. The hotel itself is beautiful, so it only makes sense that this bar would be fab. The name "Wild Days" is very fitting, since the decor gives me safari vibes. They have a limited food menu (only tacos and small bites), however there is something for everyone on that tiny menu. They even had vegan options. I had the short rib tacos. SOOOOO GOOOD. Outside at the fire pit they serve smores, and give you blankets to cuddle up. Only complaint is that I paid $25 for smores. If I knew that I would've bought 3 cocktails instead. I guess you pay for the convenience and the fact that smores at a restaurant is rare. I'm super happy this place reopened. I sat inside as unfortunately all outdoor spaces were reserved but even seating inside you feel as if you are part of the outdoors. The current menu is super limited. We ordered tacos and ceviche and both were delicious but there is nothing more. For now this is mainly a rooftop bar. Come here on a nice or semi nice day, enjoy and relax with friends (do know sometimes their music indoors is a bit loud so a bit hard to talk) Do know they do follow the 2-hr ish rule as most places do at this time.
