I knew it was going to be a positive experience when the owner himself, Ben, came out to the first appointment.

Mitigation of a roof leak after rain/wind storm…read more I woke up the day before my flight to visit family for the holidays and found a puddle on my living room floor. It turned out to be a leak that soaked two walls, and I had to find help fast. Oregon Restoration replied to me immediately while other companies took hours to respond. Their friendly office staff calmly walked me through what to expect in the process and sent help that day. Danny arrived right on time and was friendly, professional, and thorough. He let me look at his instruments as he assessed the extent of the damage, shared pictures with me, explained what they would do and helped me understand next steps. After that as I was traveling, he kept in contact with me to make sure I knew what was happening at home. He also worked with my roommates to help them understand what was happening and arrange work visits. Every person on his team was respectful and helpful, and they checked the progress of the drying process regularly. Danny worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything went forward smoothly. I found the team helpful, responsive, and diligent, and I've contracted with Oregon Restoration for the repair portion of this journey as well. Thanks so much Danny! This would have been a nightmare without you.

I'm still working through the final stages of repairs but overall responsiveness to me and insurance reps is excellent. Quality of repairs is on point (thus far), and flexibility of scheduling around existing work and family commitments is great. Special thanks to Nick Hook, Alicia Copeland and David Nevill for getting things handled immediately. Greatly appreciated :-)

I really wanted to like Ryan…read more But I hired him for level 5 drywall in our basement over freshly hung, untextured sheetrock, and he was just not able to do it. The photos speak for themselves. Our painters said it was "the worst drywall job they had every seen" After giving Ryan this feedback and showing him photos of the work quality, he said: "Woah, I definitely messed up here. I was off my game... Rory, I got you, I truly apologize ... I skimmed a ceiling about the same size yesterday ... it came out pristine. I want to leave you with the same experience." That was on October 3rd. Since then, I made about a dozen attempts to context him over the course of several months - he went completely radio silent and just ghosted us. That's what I get for paying him before auditing the work quality I suppose. We gave him 10 weeks to honor his own word and provide the quality of work we paid for, but he never did. What's more, he wasn't respectful of our home while doing the work. He didn't put up plastic before sanding or use proper equipment to mitigate dust, and as a result every surface in the main level of our house was coated with about a centimeter of dust, and it took us 3 hours on a Sunday to clean it up. We delivered that feedback and asked him to put up plastic. He did not, and coated our house in dust a second time. He also didn't clean the job site at all, leaving dust and dried mud all over the floor. Overall it was 8+ hours of work just to clean up after him. Not a professional. He also would work from about noon til about 8pm or 9pm, which is part of the reason I failed to audit the quality of the work on his last day before paying him. Ryan is absolutely not worth the $95/hr he charges. Ultimately, we had to pay someone else to finish the job, and it ended up costing twice as much because the whole space had to be redone to achieve the L5 finish we have everywhere else in the house.

The owner was super nice, very courteous and polite, respectful of my home, but did not do good work unfortunately. I really wanted to like this business because of how congenial the owner was, but the work just was not good. At first glance after he was done things looked good. He used a nice primer to finish the drywall and cleaned up after himself. However, when I started painting, I noticed holes in the drywall, scratches, and chunks of drywall that I needed to scratch off. I needed to fix all of these things before I continued painting. It ended up being very time-consuming, and as I was caulking the corners of the room this morning, noticed even more flaws in the drywall. The more I look the more problems there are. I'm guessing he didn't put a bright light on the drywall before finishing up. I spent close to $1500 on this job and I'm now spending a bunch of my time to fix it. Disappointing.
