They assured us it was no problem, they'd come out the 19th for the final walk through and start the 20th. We drove out (2 hrs each way). They didn't show or answer calls. On the 20th, they tell me they'll be starting in the next day or two. On the 22nd, they say they'll call me back ASAP. We hear nothing until the 28th. They say they'll come by the 30th for the final walk through and then start. We drive out again. Nobody shows, nobody calls or answers the phone. I finally hear back at 6:51pm, he tells me he's so sorry and we can cancel if we want to. read more

Don't bother to book an appointment for an estimate. I booked an appointment for a roof replacement after filling out their forms on the internet and received a call from someone who booked the appointment. I received 3 confirmation emails including one the day of the appointment. No one showed up and never called or emailed again. I sent emails with no answers. I called and their voicemail stated someone would call within 1 hour. Again no one bothered to call me back. Their customer service is horrible. Do yourself a favor, do not patronize this business they do not care about you or your time. read more

"CAUTION" Gabriel is a liar and a crook. He renovated a home in Mulino Oregon for a wounded veteran. Tunnel to Towers Foundation hired him to remodel the home with new floors, new master bath, new kitchen, concrete ramp and to repair lighting. The laminate flooring was not the flooring we chose. He supplied a much cheaper version that looked the same but charged us full price. The flooring installation was not perfect and lifting in many areas. When he send his workers back to fix it, they hammer and nailed it making it worse. The new refrigerator he installed was leaking, and he said he would replace it but never did. When it came time to walk through the for punch list of things that were wrong and make the appropriate repairs to his work, he disappeared and walked off with our money. He is an awful person and should not be trusted. He could have gained a lot of respect and more work from us if he was honest. I can only post if given a star but he does not even deserve one. I have a manufactured home in which it is very hard to find contractors who are willing to do the work I need. This company was one of 3 companies who contacted me when I did a request on a website. This was the only company who followed through and agreed to work on my home. I found that Gabriel was very easy to work with. He took his time to answer all of my questions and explained things to where I could understand. Once I agreed to allow this business to complete my roofing, the turnaround was very quick and they were out the next week. Gabriel said it would take two days to complete the project and provided enough workers to make it happen. His staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. They left my property very clean once they completed their work. Gabriel came out to do a final walk through with me to make sure I was satisfied. I couldn't be any more satisfied. I contacted Green O through Yelp. I received an immediate response, followed by the owner coming out to assess my repairs needed. By the end of the day i had a very reasonable quote. Green O scheduled with me dates for completing my project and came when they said they would. The work done was excellent. The communication with Green O was excellent. I highly recommend Green O and would use them again. read more

WARNING. DO NOT HIRE. Awful. My experience was similar to Phil N.'s Gabriel Horta of Green O Construction is a very poor communicator. He agreed to evaluate my project on a Saturday morning and was a no-show. I followed up on Tuesday - he'd just forgotten (despite initially reaching out to ME when I put the project up for bid on Thumbtack). His bid was good and he offered to start the next day. The moment I accepted the bid (and called off the other offers), he pushed the start date back by 4 days. He was consistently late to start. Never called or texted to let us know he would be running late (BY SEVERAL HOURS). But worst of all: horrible, shoddy work. Gabriel and the Green O team should not be in business. It was a simple and straightforward drywall repair + paint. He repaired the drywall just fine. We asked him to match the original paint in the room - he took a sample, had it "matched" then returned with a completely different color. Worse, he painted 75% of the room before we had a chance to see that it was the WRONG COLOR. When we complained, he said it wasn't his problem that Home Depot didn't match the paint properly. He made us pay for the additional paint then for him and his workers to repaint the wall the following day (we went to HD with a paint chip of our own and they matched the color perfectly - go figure!). His workers left a mess, used our bathroom to clean their paint supplies and threw their garbage in the compost bin. A bunch of slobs. WARNING. DO NOT HIRE. read more

I rarely leave one star reviews but the service from this business is ridiculously terrible and what made it even worse is that it was a referral from a good neighbor. Called Green O Construction for a quote and right off the bat I had to call several times. I Googled the business and found they had a Facebook page so I went on there to post a message saying I would like someone to come out to my parents house and give us a quote on some major home repairs (I am in San Jose, CA and because there is a language barrier, my parents sought my assistance). Anyways, it should have been a clear red flag from the get go that I had to make x amount of calls and a post on their Facebook page that they would eventually contact me after two days. I gave them the biggest benefit of the doubt because they said they were extremely busy....until another second red flag. On the day of the appointment scheduled for noon, my parents had notified me that they didn't show up and since they had to run to a doctor's appointment, they themselves called Green O to ask if they are coming anytime soon. According to my parents, who are the nicest and most honest people, Green O said they were having a late lunch and wouldn't be able to make it until 4pm. That's all fine and dandy if Green O Construction had just called to inform either one of us of the delay. We understand things change so just give us a heads up. Nope. Nada. Should I have stop giving them a chance after the second red flag? Noooooo. Actually my parents wanted to give them more business because he was a referral from their neighbor. Why? Because again, they are the nicest and most patient people and put up with shit like this from business like these. Well, at least they came out and we're going to get the estimate. Done deal, right? Nope. Can you believe there is a third and final red flag? Called Green O several times AGAIN to inquire when the estimate will arrive and again NO RESPONSE! Again, posted on their Facebook page a disgruntled message and again no response. After three days, Gabe I believe was his name, finally picked up the phone and said he will have the estimate for me same day by noon. Faith restored even after all the bullshit, right?! WRONG! To add salt to an open and rotted wound, I told him my parents wanted additional work done and gave him a description AND also said end of the day for the quote is okay, too. What's this? The customer offering to extend the deadline for him! WTF!!! I guess that wasn't enough because three days passed and no estimate! I figured since I gave him descriptions for additional work, he probably needed more time to get the estimate done. However, wouldn't you agree that a good business owner can just send over the quote for the original work since it has been way overdue already and send over another quote for the additional work later? I don't know but down here in California that's how legitimate business especially services oriented like construction should operate. Called them like 10 times and nothing. After wasting almost two weeks I am DONE with this illegitimate business and their horrible business practices. I am posting this everywhere and on Yelp because I don't want another customer especially one that is easy prey like my parents to be taken advantage of by these procrastinators and no showers. I hate to say it but I would never recommend these guys to anyone and have had it with the terrible customer service and lack of respect in notifying us of delays. If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would. The sad thing is that my parents still would have given them the business. Why? Because they don't know any better. Well, I do and will find another contractor that is actually a legitimately customer oriented business. The owner was great to work with. My garage roof had a leak during a very rainy week. His company was very responsive. He was one of the only companies I could get to provide a quote within a few days. He was very reasonable and fit us into his schedule within the week. His work was professional, done quickly and reasonable when compared to others. I would highly recommend. read more

I just want to thank Rod and the everyone that was involved in the installation of my new roof. They gave me a fair price. They did clean work and were careful about not letting my dog out of the back yard. They even brought her treats and fixed my gate with out being asked. I am a general contractor of 10 years. I hired Green O Construction for a simple demolition job. We started by them not able to reach the agreed start time. I was flexible and let them work the next day, a Saturday. Not preferred, due to the clients being residents of the house adjacent to the garage roof to be demoed. Half way through the job, they owner left the job and requested payment prior to any invoicing or completion. Against my better judgement, I wrote him a check and left it with the crew prior to completion when he told me that he would not accept the idea of a check in the mail as is industry standard. After they left, the man hours on the job site, if they didn't take a lunch, with bid price, comes to roughly $95.00/ hour. For Demo. There were two broken windows, two framing members (that were to remain) cut out, another (that was to be removed) still anchored to the concrete, and many nails left in the driveway. In addition, instead of politely bringing up a miscommunication about the front wall to be removed and letting me know of the added cost, they called 2hrs later and said they didn't know that the roof had a layer of plywood on it and that there would be an additional cost. Not having a choice due to scheduling, I agreed. This brought the cost to roughly $117/hour/person. For Demo. When asked how he could make it right, they offered to fix the framing. If you can't take it apart, why would I think you are qualified to fix it? Any idea of a discount, was swiftly declined. Then for the two broken old French pane windows, he offered to search salvage yards. Salvage yards accept multipane windows only, single pane windows go to antique shops. In conclusion, I should have read their reviews online and should have never paid until the job was complete. The online reviews are pretty consistent. I have used Green O for 2 different roof tear off and re-reoofs, and I am very satisfied. The work was done well and the pricing we were able to agree on was extremely fair! I have no complaints about anything really... Gabriel has also agreed to put up an additional piece of flashing which was not part of the original deal. He supposed to do that soon. I have no reason to think he won't honor his word because he has dealt with me square on the 2 jobs he has done for me. I will use this company again. read more
