This is the best Peruvian restaurant in the valley. They serve an amazing dishes, especially their ceviche Pescado, and all the other dishes are very, very good. Great service. Everything is great. No complaints about this restaurant. I really highly recommend this place if you want

The entrance and how it says it's open Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 9pm

I came on a Wednesday at 10:13am and they were not open yet online and their sign says open at 9 am.

Yucca Fritta: Called "yuca frita" in Peru, it is fried cassava (yucca), often served as a side dish or snack, similar to French fries.

Puro Sabor, Pero Mal Servico Let me tell you, the food at Puro Sabor was pure flavor--puro sabor--but the service? Well, that was a different story! Imagine this: I sit down, ready to dive into some delicious Peruvian food, and I notice there are no prices on the menu. So, I ask the waitress, and her solution? "Look on Google." Yep, you heard that right, Google! Feeling a bit adventurous, I asked again, and she confidently says, "Don't worry, I know the prices in my head." Well, I don't know about you, but I prefer my prices on the menu, not stored in someone's brain! When I mentioned I wanted to speak to someone about the menu, she passed the buck with, "You'll have to talk to the manager." Meanwhile, I'm sitting there thinking, "Is the manager also on Google?" To be honest, I've had way better service at Chio's Peruvian Restaurant, where they're on top of things--prices included! The staff there makes sure you're well taken care of, no Google search required. All that said, the food at Puro Sabor? It was delicious. If only the service had matched the flavor!

Got the food to go but it was all delicious! Definitely recommend Papa a la Huancaina. I also got the Tallarines Verde con Bistec yum! There was also this green sauce that came with the meal it was very tasty a little spicy at first but I adjusted. The portions were decent for the price I feel.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in the valley. So authentic and delicious. Wonderful service. I always get the lomo saltado & an Inca cola. Perfection.

One of the best Peruvian spots in the valley! Been coming for years and the food always delicious. Plus, the service is a 10/10.

Every item, from the moment we were greeted by the hostess, to our last bite of dessert, our experience was absolutely stellar. Our waiter was so comfortable, patient and knowledgable about the entire menu. He had recommendations but was not pushy or salesman like. He seemed to genuinely love what they offered. My wife enjoyed the excellent Alto Negroni while I blissed out to the Jardin de Altura (Tequila Altos, Fig Leaves, Cointreau, Magnolia Nectar & corn salt rim, herb oil floating in drops on the top). This drink was delicate and nuanced and utterly devine! The Chipa (cheese bread) and Criollo (layered wafer bread with herb butter) let us know that we were going to really enjoy everything. We had the OG empanada, Burnt Avocado Salad for starters and the Pork Txuleta, Special Black Cod and Cordero Patagonia (Lamb Saddle) for entree's. Finished with Chocolate Sabayon and a Pistachio special dessert that was just wonderful. I appreciate that they are really aiming to represent South America with their wine list. Even though I don't personally enjoy them, they were interesting to try. Awesome experience, I will definitely be back soon. DOn't miss this place, it's also a great date spot. Good lighting, stylish interior, really unique and purposeful style throughout. And the staff was warm and professional all the way through the restaurant.

But.. hear me out. They bring out a complementary tortilla chips drizzled in a house sauce & cotija cheese I believe...But Delicious! Nice little appetizer. I would highly recommend the Baleada, it's just a handmade flour tortilla with bean & cheese, it sounds basic, but trust it's pretty good. Perfect for any occasion. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Finally I got the Carne asada plate, which I will say from the times I've been here. It never misses, always nicely cooked, seasoned to perfection, perfectly paired with these fried plantains called "Tajadas" topped with a creamy mayonnaise/thousand island type dressing. It's just a well-balanced plate. Sweet, savory, tangy and creamy! everything complements each other perfectly. My biggest complaint would be customer service, these waitresses don't know the first thing about good service, they don't know how to treat their customers, they come out as rude. Just be ready for that. Overall El Katracho Restaurant is an authentic Honduran restaurant with good food, it's a small restaurant but the ambiance is a vibe. The vegan plate had black beans, white rice, plantains, and a side salad. The bandeja paisa had beans, a fried egg, chicharron, steak, rice, plantain, and chorizo. The meat was perfectly grilled but the chicharron was a little tough but still good. The vegan plate had much flavor -- the beans were tasty and the rice fresh. They were very generous with the plantains. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were so fresh and delicious. The spinach empanada was a little tough - it was crispy but there was less spinach than I would have expected and the cheese in it wasn't really melted either. Overall the food was very fresh and delicious. Parking can be tricky bc their lot fits only 3 cars. We parked a couple blocks in the neighborhood. Front of the store parking also seems limited. It's been around for over 20 years and is currently in a newer space than it was before; featuring more parking and a larger space. Ambiance: The interior has a relaxed feel with beachy surfer themed decor. It has a clean modern feel with a bunch of tables featuring accent colored chairs. There is music in the background and a TV on the wall featuring surfing videos. Service: You order at the counter, they ring you up and you get the food brought out. You can see the kitchen as it's open. It was my first time and it was a simple and easy experience. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Food: Some of their specialities include the 20+variations of fried empanadas (meats, chicken, pork, veggie, dessert) that come in both savory and sweet types, as well as their speciality plates such as their Korean-style flat iron steak skewers and chicken satay. The sauces they serve with their empanadas are incredible and some of the best I've ever had such as their chimmi-churri, basil-aioli and sweet & sour Thai. I recently did the lunch combo featuring a choice of a 1/2 salad or 1/2 fries, choice of any two empanadas and a canned drink. I chose beef and Kailua pig empanadas; both were great, empanadas didn't break apart and were crispy, everything was seasoned well; the filling of the beef was a bit more than the Kailua pig however. Drinks: They have various drinks such as lemonade, juices, sodas/soft drinks, and some beers on tap. Parking: The lot is large and has ample parking depending on the day and time. Prices: Prices are to the times that we're in...so not too great. Ala carte empanadas are $5+ but as you order more (4, 12) the prices come down a slight bit.
