A quaint little diner conveniently located near the hospital. This spot is decorated in such a nostalgic way. Old time bicycles and glassware. Original mta subway signs. I met the owner John while there he was kind and hardworking. I ordered a tea with a corn beef omlette, it was served with home fries and toast (my choice was 7 grain) nice portions for a decent price considering the neighborhood and proximity to the hospital.

We came in at 2:50pm on a Sunday and were informed that the kitchen closes at 3pm and the establishment closes at 4pm. Our order was rushed to the kitchen, as were many others, from customers who came in by the last minute till 3pm. Host was so amiable and accommodating. Lovely guy. Waiters & busboys were visibly harried and stressed. We felt uncomfortable taking up space at a time when staff clearly looked ready to close up. Only on Sundays they close so early, so be warned. Pleasant atmosphere, casual and low stakes. Classic rock & holiday tunes playing on the radio. The chicken teriyaki sandwich $19 surprised with a good portion of grilled chicken breast. Didn't feel any teriyaki anywhere--just a plain grilled chicken breast with a few sautéed onions. But solid if you're hungry and need a decent portion of protein. The standard diner fries are noting to write home about--typical fast food quality. Gyro platter was a serious disappointment, especially after being recommended by our waiter. The Greek salad was the only enjoyable part (and how hard is it to throw a bagged salad and some feta on a plate?). The "gyro" was something awful: four pieces of highly processed breakfast mystery "meat". We had stomach issues on the toilet, in the evening, after this particular "meat". Do not get if you value your health. Inedible and dangerous to the health. A $2 upcharge for sweet potatoes fries was not worth it. Another bagged, pre frozen fast food fries variety. Would not return. Food was mediocre and underwhelming in quality and taste, at best. Inedible and dangerous, at worst.

We love this diner. It is one of my favorite diners to come to. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Love the ambiance and decor of this diner. The menu has a variety of foods to choose from. Staff is super attentive, and food is always tasty and delicious.

I love Purity Diner. This cosy diner is a staple for us. My partner has been coming to this establishment his entire life and after my introduction, it's become my favorite too. The owner is a NYM fan and has some subtle memorabilia. He always greets us when we walk in and it's clear he remembers us. So kind of him to always remember us and make kind conversation. Food is 5/5. Exactly what you expect and are craving.

We checked this place out for a child friendly weekend brunch. The good: ample indoor and outdoor seating and a huge dinner menu with plenty of kid approved options including a kids menu. Service was slow to start but got better as the meal continued . I got the Huevos Rancheros which was $17.50 - a decent sized portion and good. All in all - it's a classic dinner and definitely recommended if that is what you are looking for.

Loved this little spot. There's a lot of breakfast locations in this area but this is definitely one to check out! Immediately when we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly servers. Our booth was comfortable, clean and spacious. Our server was attentive, friendly, and quick. The food was fresh and delicious. I got the Nova lox bagel with cream cheese, with a side of sausages. My fiancé got pancakes with home fries and everything was cooked and flavored to perfection. We walked away satisfied and planning to come back. It was also very affordable! I was impressed for the area. Cute little dinner would definitely recommend for a quick sit down bite.

Pkasters. I like the spot. It was clean and service was good. Food wasn't stand out. Not the best Brooklyn Diner experience but I say if you in the area visiting a loved one in the Hospital you can't go wrong with breakfast for lunch. #Pkast

We love this place. It has a cute ambiance with old time sinage, like street signs etc. for decoration. My family comes here all the time, staff is nice. I love the kitchen burrito and the dulce de leche French toast. I would recommend!

Purity Diner is my go-to diner. The food and service never disappoint. I always end up either getting my usual breakfast order of eggs that come with a side of fries and toast with an iced coffee. In terms of service, I don't think I've ever waited longer than 20 minutes for a seat and the 20 minutes was because there was only outdoor seating available (during COVID). Now that indoor seating is available at a limited capacity, you are required to sign in if you'd like to eat inside and write your name, phone number and the time you came in. Also, the waitresses/waiters are always there when needed, as are the other employees refilling your coffee etc. In terms of price, I would say the prices are standard diner prices. But you will definitely get a good portion of food for the price paid. If you are hungry and unsure of where to eat, definitely stop by Purity Diner as you'll end up leaving full and happy :)

    HE-MAN Combo
    Ryan F.

Ordered breakfast at Purity Diner on Saturday morning. My meal was a mixed bag of food that showed the limitations of this diner. Quality: Purity Diner serves up pretty standard diner fare. I ordered the HE-MAN Combo, which was French Toast with Bacon, Ham, Sausage, and Eggs. The French Toast was excellent, but the meats and eggs were not very good. It felt too much like frozen items. The French Fries, which we ordered steak-style, were very good. I also enjoyed my Vanilla Milkshake, though additional flavors are needed. Quantity: Large portions of everything. Value: $15 for the HE-MAN Combo. $4 for French Fries. $5 for a Milkshake. Ambiance: Purity Diner is located across the street from the hospital in Park Slope. They have a large outdoor dining area, constructed during COVID. They also have a fair amount of seating inside, a mix of tables and booths. A bar area is located in the front and two televisions play on opposite sides of the restaurant. Some classic rock music was on in the background. Crowd: A decent crowd on Saturday morning, lots of families. Service: The waiters were unbelievably friendly and helpful. Parking: Tough street parking.

But if you're looking for some excellent, straight forward, wonderfully crafted simplicity, this is in your wheelhouse. A quesadilla is a quesadilla, a hamburger a hamburger. Sounds boring? Not when your hamburger and quesadilla are amongst the best you've ever had at any diner, anywhere. Our waitress was very nice and allowed us to dine, unbothered. This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

And had they arrived a moment later, they would have seeped through the box. Fine. I'll just get them out of the box, onto a real play. Ha. They must have been added to the box while they were fresh off a hot pan. A good amount was welded to the box. Annoying, but fine. And then the brew arrived without sugar or (paid for) oat milk. They hate me. It's ok, I'll just drink it black. And that's where 2 stars get knocked off. Worst tasting coffee ever. Cold brew is supposed to be smooth, with very little acid. This was extremely sour! As if it was made previously and had been sitting around for a couple of days. It took me a minute to realize how bad it was. And suffering as a result. Lastly, we got a Caribbean omelet. My rice and pernil was solid. The rice could've used a tad bit more seasoning but when mixed with the side of beans and plantains plus a drizzle of hot sauce it was perfect. They had a variety of sauces--Tabasco (my fave), a Jamaican one that was super spicy, and a mild homemade one. The tres/quatro golpes was also a hearty choice with mangu (mashed plantain), sausage, fried cheese, and eggs. The pickled red onion balanced everything out. The fried cheese is similar to a halloumi but I think it's a bit more flavorful. All the flavors just melt together in your mouth perfectly. The French toast and omelet were good. We all slid into a booth and looked over the seasonal offerings along with their standard menu. I was lured by the chicken Kyiv based on the picture of having two rolled up chicken cutlets stuffed with dill and other yumminess, but was a bit disappointment when it arrived with a single small cutlet on my plate with two heaping mounds of potatoes mash and broccoli. I instantly had regret when I should have gotten the borscht soup with pierogies, but wanted to try something I wouldn't usually. I should've stuck to what was safe. My work mom got the stuffed cabbage and that was a clear homerun- really loved the mushroom gravy that it came with. Although this was my first time here, I can't say that anyone really loved the food nor would come out of their way to come back.
