She's our baby, and the thought of being away from her for so long had my husband and me both anxious. Thankfully, we found Canine Corner, and from the moment we walked in, we knew she was in loving, capable hands. The team at Canine Corner went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. They were kind, patient, and completely understanding of how hard it is to leave your pup behind. Every update we got while we were away reassured us that Sadie was having an amazing time -- and judging by how she pulls us toward their door every time we walk by, I think it's safe to say she had a blast! I especially want to thank Lucas, who truly went the extra mile for us. We were stuck in terrible traffic on our way back into the city and were panicked we wouldn't make it in time to pick up Sadie before closing. I had an item stolen from my home after someone sent by this business was given access to my house to walk my dog. When I confronted the owner, she immediately insisted there was no possible way anyone associated with her business could have taken it. The police investigated. I later learned that the person the business had sent into my home that day had previously worked for another dog-walking business and was connected to a case involving more than $20,000 worth of stolen jewelry and watches. What made an already upsetting situation so much worse was how the owner handled it. She was incredibly difficult to deal with, unapologetic, and refused to refund even the dog walks I had already paid for, let alone reimburse me for what was stolen. When you hire a dog walker, you aren't just trusting someone with your pet - you're trusting the business with access to your home and belongings. Based on what happened to me, I have serious concerns about how this business screens the people it sends into clients' homes. I would never use this company again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone else. If you're considering hiring them, I strongly suggest you think twice before giving them access to your home.

Ferdinand is a rescue dog, who was shy and scared of loud noises when we got him. He's now over 2 years old, a playful little dog, ready to walk (most of the time) and to have fun with other dogs. As much as I'd like to take credit for his progress, I think Phyllis have much more to do with it. Phyllis is a great dog walker. She never stopped working during the Pandemic, always mindful to tend to her pet friends while protecting herself and families. Making sure Ferdie had his daily walk with her was a life saver in the middle of homeschooling and remote working. Phyllis' love for animals is obvious. She helped us get Ferdie ready to walk with other dogs, always leaves detailed feedback if Ferdie is more anxious than usual. She also was a great support as we welcomed our third son back home last year, advising us on how to behave with Ferdie, and sharing some very helpful kid friendly videos for my two older kids so they learn to play safely with Ferdie. Ferdie is now very well adjusted to our family, and us to him. We feel very fortunate to have found Pooch and Kitty to help us transition from a family with two children and no pets, to a family of three children and a dog.

My story starts with trying to find a cat sitter as I was travelling more a few times a year (domestic and foreign - as far as New Zealand), and my new cat (Sweet Pea, a Manx breed shelter cat) needed a friendly face every day while away. I tried a couple of services, but had very unprofessional experiences that made my home feel unsafe. Had to change the locks on the 2nd one- so weird. So now, on to the good news. I found Pooch and Kitty. The owner, Phyllis Klein is caring and highly professional. The intro is professional, chill, and started with an opportunity for the potential sitter to meet you and your pet, so that both parties are comfortable, and gave me the moment to communicate any building rules. Great. I have felt so happy and safe with the 2 sitters I had over the years. Thank you Serra, and most importantly, thank you Bonnie. Bonnie gave great daily updates (as I traveled the most during her time). Her recent observation on his eating led me to immediately decide that maybe he needs a random vet check in addition to the regular. He ultimately had lymphoma and I lost him months later. But if not for her simple observations communicated in the daily updates, I would not have noticed as quickly (the lack of separation during quarantine made it harder to notice small changes). As a result, I had more time than I would have, while treating his illness. Sweet Pea had caring friends with Pooch and Kitty. And I have all Bonnie's hilarious video updates, sometimes with silly filters which I loved! This is a great service that I recommend. They are lovely, and should be part of your pet sitting needs. Mark is fantastic! I was referred to him by my vet in regards to my 1-year-old rescue Hamlet…read more(a.k.a. Hammy) who was brought over from Puerto Rico, where he was a street dog. While he is pretty much a perfect pup, he has a bit of aggression towards men that come into my apartment, which included my dad on one occasion as well as my uncle and building super. I had a one-on-one with Mark at my apartment, and I actually came across him in his van on the way back from our walk, waiting for our appointment time. We walked back to my apartment and there he asked a bunch of questions and got to know Hammy, and Ham loved him! Mark explained that it was because they had met outside first and then proceeded into the apartment afterwards, while Mark ignored him the whole time they were outside. He spent nearly 2 hours with me, and we took Ham on a walk where he impressed Mark with how good of a walker he is! My parents actually visited the next day for Easter, and Mark gave me the best way to re-introduce my dad- away from the apartment, while ignoring him. It worked! While their last interaction was filled with barking, snapping, and growling (from Ham, not my dad), as soon as we got back to the apartment, Hamlet was all over my dad with affection. (I included a picture and that's my dad's lap that Hamlet is sitting on!) I now feel like I have the right tools to introduce Hamlet to men in the future and to make sure he is comfortable with them.
