I like to judge how people treat you when they have nothing to gain as was my first encounter with Kristen at Bath & Bubbles Grooming. I was bringing my dog Winter to the vet across the street when I realized I left my wallet at home. It was a really hot day and I only live a few blocks away but it would have been a lot to ask Winter to walk back home with me. Kristen happened to be outside her place and told me how beautiful she thought Winter was and offered to let Winter stay inside her air conditioned store while I ran home to get my wallet. This saved me from being late for my appointment and saved me from dragging my dog back and forth on a very hot day. I then asked her if I could get Winter groomed after I was done at the vet. She said no problem and she gave Winter who is a little skittish at first when meeting someone new a bath and cut her nails which is not easy to do. Winter is a pitbull mix and Kristen loves the breed which I like a lot. Not to discriminate against smaller dogs but I have been to other groomers in the area and their clintele seems to have mostly smaller dogs. It made me feel good bringing my dog to someone who has such warmth and affection for the breed. I will definitely be bringing my other two dogs to her as well. read more

I just realized my last review was before I even had my dog. I rescued a skittish, crazy Yorkie-poo, Cookie. Kristen's sister, who is staff at Noah's Ark Vet actually physically rescued her and 23 other dogs along with AMA animal rescue. I didn't know what to expect leaving her the first time. Kristen was on her hands and knees to help her get comfortable before we left. Now Cookie looks forward to getting groomed and tries to visit every time we walk past! Kristen also does an amazing job on my cat and guinea pig. The guinea pig used to scream every time he got his nails cut. Now, he just sits there happily. Kristen and Joe are just wonderful and I can not recommend them enough. read more

We have taken our 10 month old puppy here 4 times. The first three times we were pretty satisfied. The 4th visit was a disaster. Was told that he had some matting on the back of his body and he would be a little shorter than what we are used to. Our dog is a labradoodle with a beautiful full body of hair. He now looks like a scalped poodle. It seems like it was easier to shave him rather than take a little extra time and try to salvage his beautiful coat. He does not look like my dog and I am beyond upset. He also didn't even smell clean All this for the same price of a regular grooming. To say I won't be going back is an understatement. I don't usually give bad reviews but I couldn't let this go. read more

Got my two pups groomed and not only did they look fantastic, the whole experience was a pleasure! One pup tends to get uptight around new people and new places, when I went to pick them up they were both super happy and both were finished relatively quick at a great price. The owners are awesome and really love animals. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I was recommend to come here. But this will be the last time Ill ever step foot. They ruined my 6 month old maltese puppy beautiful coat. The job was patchy and not what i ask for. She was over booked and the only person working. I was told to come a 2pm and to come back in 2 hrs. I receved my puppy back 5 hrs later looking horrible. Im not even sure if he got a bath as he was smelling like dog. I was so shock at what they did to my dog. The lady had the nerve to ask me if i like it. This is the worst place to take a puppy. There is no organization or time management. I want to actucal go back and ask for a refund as they ruin my poor dog. read more

Kristen has trimmed our cats' nails in the past. None of them really likes manicures, but with her kindness and patience she gets the task done quickly, even when they are not cooperating! Today, we brought in a dog my sister is fostering. The dog came from a hoarding situation and needed some TLC. Kristen gave her a bath, trimmed her nails and straightened out a haircut that was the result of the vet trimming off severely matted fur. The dog looked and smelled so much better! Prices are more than fair and reasonable. We highly recommend this business! read more

If I could give zero stars I would! , I can't believe the vet recommended this place . Dropped my dogs at 11 it's now 5 pm ! Was told to come at 4:30 came at 4:40 , dogs were washed and she told me she needed another hour ! My dogs are in a cage for hours :/ , one had his hair cut all lopsided and horrible looking. The other nothing else done. First off I should've walked out as soon as I walked in the place wreaked of cat urine so badly I couldn't think straight ! When I got back in the car my cousin said I smelled of cat piss !! There is a fish tank w turtles in it so filthy it looked like mud :/ the turtles need rescuing my heart broke for them . I thought about leaving I should've went w my gut :/ she charged me $70 !!!! For the longest , smelliest wash !! No nails done jagged lopsided haircuts And they both now smell of cat urine ! Unreal never again ! My son and I needed a shower when we left so disgusting ! Makes me question using the vet that recommended them to me :/ I'm new to the area and boy did I learn an expensive lesson :( read more

Only took my dog there because he rolled in poop and smelled terrible. Needed him washed and didn't have the time. Dropped him off at 2pm on a Monday. When I walked in the place reeked! I was gagging but Kristen seemed super comfortable in the smell even chatted me up for wayyy to long! She was lovely but the smell of cat piss was unbearable. Against my better judgment I left my dog there. He was the only dog being seen so she assured me it would be quick and he wouldn't be crated long. Long story short I picked him up within an hour and a half and he was out of the X-ray running around in the back and enjoying being petted. Kirsten was friendly and raved about what a good dog I had. I paid $50 a left immediately. I couldn't tell if he was clean or not because all I could smell was cat piss. He reeked of it and so did I! Yuck and yuck. I went home and showered and sprayed him down with doggy deodorant. Never again! That place is wayyyy to stink even though they're friendly and those sad looking turtles in brown water didn't help matters at all! Save your money and stick to Petco they do a decent job and at least their place doesn't smell like a public restroom. read more

10/30/18 We use to use B & B because we like the way Kristen interacted with our dog. When my brother and I walked in today it was like walking into a gas station bathroom. The place reaked of cat piss, and Kristen's partner was busy cleaning it up. Yet there was still a cat walking around freely, in a dog groomers. The poor turtle at the front was still in the same septic tank filthy water that was written about in September. Our app't was scheduled for 11 AM; moved to 11:30 and we were still waiting at 11:40 when we eagerly walked out. This place is a toilet and should be condemned !!! Absolutely amazing experience! I made an 2pm appointment and I needed to move it up way earlier and they accommodated me. Then they even made my baby Scarlet their priority and finished way before their quoted time and had no problem watching her until I got there. The hairstyle Scarlet was given is adorable and it was a fantastic service. They are both nice people and really seem to care. Love it. Wish I had 10 stars to give! Never going back to Petsmart or Petco! read more

Very nice job taking care of our tabby who had been looking like a long-haired hippie cat! In fact - she almost looks like a Russian Blue! We took our dog "Guy" over to Bath & Bubbles today for a bath and a trim. Kristen did a fantastic job on him, and you can tell she really has a compassionate side for animals. Her prices are far better than Petco. We couldn't be happier with her and her business. Our dog will be going back next time he is due for a trim. read more

I'm reading a lot of crappy reviews on here so let me clear things up. First off one of the groomers who people had many problems with is no longer working at the salon. Secondly, the salon is very small and kristen loves animals and tries to help those in need. Which is why there are two shop cats who live there. They are rescues. On top of that she takes in other animals that have been found on the street until she can place them in a home. So unfortunately sometimes with such a small space and having two cats plus maybe a kitten or two, it can get stinky due to the litter boxes. I for one know she cleans the salon and the litter boxes but with a small space it can smell like "cats" very quickly. I would personally look over that fact because I know it's due to her having a kind heart and helping animals in need. It's not because the place is dirty. The shop cats are great with all animals because they have grown up around this environment so don't be alarmed when you see them walking around. As an avid animal lover I think this is a plus. Her grooming is great and she is very accommodating and nice to all her clientele. read more

I highly suggest avoiding Bubbles and Bath. The groom on my dog was just awful. My dogs face was cut lopsided, the hair on my dogs nose was not cut, the fur which had been stained by my dogs eyes was not removed, although I had specifically asked for it to be trimmed off. The tail was choppy. It was not cut so that it fanned out like a feather in the picture I had showed the groomer. It was cut in such a weird way, and so short that there was no way to fix the fur to look decent. My dogs ears were completely dirty after I had asked if they clean the ears and she told me she would. I have to say, there were many other things wrong with this groom, too much to mention. I am extremely disappointed. I have had dogs for 20 years and have never had such a bad grooming done on my dog. This groomer seems to be severely under trained, or not trained at all - she did not even clean the anal glands! Smh. read more

Kristen is absolutely wonderful!!! If you're like me and your pets are truly family then you'll find a kindred spirit in Kristen and your furbaby is in excellent hands. You can tell she instinctively has a gift for putting animals at ease immediately without the use of sedatives. My vet recommended Kristen because of her skills and because they work together to save and find homes for rescues so you know this isn't a job for her--it's her calling. One of my long-hair cats had gotten his coat severely & hopelessly matted right down to his skin after escaping from my attempt to bathe him myself in the kitchen sink--this is now in my "don't EVER try this at home files". He was in such discomfort yet she was able to get the all the matts off by giving him a beautiful tight lion cut. He clearly feels great and is now strutting his stuff as though he knows just how good he looks. This is the grooming spit for all my banies from now on. I'm so delighted to have met such a skilled groomer and, just as importantly, such a good good person and a beautiful spirit.
