Staff is friendly, but not very clear about turnaround time. Dropped off my dog around 10:15am and got him back at 4pm. They wouldn't give me a timeframe, until I insisted they do. Been to other professional groomers before and haven't had a good experience when I get my dog after 6 hours of waiting. They had him in a tub for a wash for an hour, then kept him in a crate for a while (this is what I suspect took so long) and then gave him a quick trim. I asked how long he was in the crate, and they told me "not for very long". I don't understand how else it took 6 hours. Even after the 6 hour wait, they didn't bother to get remove loose hairs. He's still shedding everywhere. You'd expect for such a long wait, they'd do that at least. Ease of payment was convenient which was nice. But unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend owners with bigger dogs to go to them. They seem to do a much better job with smaller dogs. read more

Im a relatively new cat mom. I just took my kitty here today for a nail trim and to get his ears cleaned. Dena has been grooming my large pure white husky for yeaaaaaars and she does a fantastic job. She's moved several times to different locations and I would always follow her wherever she may be because I only trust her to clean my dog. My husky is all white so you can understand how easily his fur gets dirty and yellow. She really takes her time with him and no matter how dirty he is going in, he always comes out shiny, completely white and fluffy. Even when it's shedding season for him and he looks like crap with patches all over his body, dena manages to get his fur looking good. I highly recommend her. Just as a side note, we once took my husky to Petco on Stillwell ave. to get him groomed but they totally screwed it up. I dropped him off and when I went to pick him up some time later, his fur was still wet and patchy. They didn't even finish grooming him!! Apparently, the dog was shedding like crazy and they got scared because he is skinny and underweight. Reaaaaally bad service. The least they could do was dry him right. I had to take him back to Dena and after that incidence, I have never took my dog anywhere else to groom. read more

I was taking my cat here to get his first cut and was greeted by a Great Dane that was slobbering all over the place. Sweet dog, but kinda scary for a cat that hasn't really seen other animals. I have a ragdoll and his hair is really long, and sometimes it get stuck in his food. I kindly asked Deena to trim his mane along with the lion cut. She basically just buzzed off the lower middle part of the mane and left the rest as is. Needless to say, his mane is still edging into the food and water bowls. To top it all off, she called me and told that my boy, who I took to get neutered and have verified veterinary documents, was actually a girl. That had me going nuts googling how to determine a cats gender and whatnot. Granted mistakes happen, but she was just so adamant that my cat was a girl. It just generally made me uncomfortable. Her shop is busy, and I'm sure she gives great hair cuts to other animals. I feel that maybe next time listening to your customers would warrant a better review. By the way if your cat is long haired, this place charges $100. Definitely on the high side, where you expect at least a decent haircut. read more

Took my two mini aussies to Dena this weekend and you best believe we're coming back! I'm super picky when it comes to getting my dogs' groomed as I've had such horrible experiences in the past with groomers not listening to what I ask for or are inexperienced with grooming Australian Shepherds. Dena was super quick to respond to my questions and was able to give me an appointment the same week. When I came in to drop them off I was explaining what I wanted, but it was like Dena read my mind. She went through everything that she was going to trim on my pups' and it was literally all I ever ask for when I go to other groomers (yet they couldn't manage to do). But Dena DIDDDD THAT! *yaaaas* One of my aussie is extremely anxious and will howl and yodel when dropped off, which resulted in many groomers turning us away or they would make sure I had to stick around so I can pick up her as soon as they were done with her. I told her about the anxious pup and she did not turn us away and told me not to worry about it. It was so relieving to find out that she wasn't as anxious (although did yodel here and there) and made it through the groom very well! I have never been so excited to have found THE groomer for my pups because I always go in with super low expectations given the past experiences I've had.
