I don't know what kind of magic Serena has in those scissors, but Rhiley went in a scruffy pup and came out red carpet ready. I had to give one star although a negative star would be better. The women in this place are so nasty with the exception of the young girl in the front. The women were yelling at her in front of several customers. I reluctantly left my dog there but was nervous the whole time. When I picked her ip she was butchered. She has a beard! staff was super sweet. upon calling and coming in i was told the service would be $60-$65. we had discussed by dogs severe matting during drop off and no one mentioned anything about a price increase. but of course, when they called me to let me know he was ready, they told me it was $80 and that they only took cash. which was also not mentioned when i dropped him off lol. they were accommodating and allowed me to venmo instead. so it wasn't an issue. my dogs dreads were taken care of and he is comfortable which is really all that matters. just wish they would've communicated pricing more accurately before doing the service rather than after. there was another groomer nearby who would've done it for $70. came here cause i thought it would be cheaper and it ended up being more expensive lol. every penny counts these days ya know. i'm not happy or mad about it. just glad my boys comfy at the end of the day! he smells great and was in high spirits when i picked him up :) read more

I have been taking my little teacup Yorkie to Pet Pawlour For some years now. They do beautiful work on my little Tessie!! Not only does Tessie come out looking beautiful but she is also very calm not all nervous like she used to be at other groomers. This time though because of their dedication and knowledge they saved my little girls life. Every time I bring Tessie to them they not only do the grooming exceptionally but they always give you A wellness check, whether it be her eyes or ears whatever that may need attention. This time my little girls tongue was blue Tessie needed to go straight to the hospital, she suffered from pulmonary hypertension. She spent days in an oxygen chamber until they got the medication correct. She will be coming home tomorrow thank God. But if it wasn't for the wonderful staff at Pet Pawlour this would've never turned out the way it has. So please take my advice and if you love your Little furry babies you'll bring them to Pet Pawlour you'll be so happy you did. read more

Although this place is very caring and the owner bent over backwards to accommodate my Fearful Afghan Hound.. Falcon was very scared and kept popping even had diareah many times. I found a very 1 inch deep gash on the left side of his neck see picture and cut marks on his belly. He needs to be throughly looked over. He also was returned with many matted areas. I'm sorry he kept shitting and peeing himself. However, there is no excuse for him being cut. And even more iIMPORTANTLY and what angers me the most. Is the owner and groomer didn't tell me Falcon was hurt... They only talked about Falcon needing Sedatives!!! I'm besides myself. My Falcon was injured and I was shocked to find the gash and cut marks. I should have know better when I was told I couldn't stay and watch that I had to leave my dog!! The most positive interaction for us, is when the Groomer lets me stay and assist. We have been to several other groomers. This is disheartening because of my sever carpal tunnel I'm unable to groom him Myself. I was definitely pleased with the outcome, and even more pleased they caught the start of an ear infection in my pup (felt pretty terrible I didn't notice to begin with). While the staff was friendly I would not be taking my dog back there. I took my dog here since his regular groomers were closed. This place needs an upgrade. Everything is woren and it's smells musty inside the store. Plus I was not a fan of all the loose cats all over the place. Not every dog responds well to loose cats When I picked up my dog his haircut was so choppy and so uneven it was ridiculous, now I have to let his hair grow out so his regular groomers can fix the damage. Ok, where do i begin. How about i just start off by saying this place is AMAZING. I had to move out of my apartment, and stay with family untill i find a new place. I am not allowed to bring my baby with me where im at currently. My baby is a 4 year old male black and grey cat named Django(d is silent, just like jamie foxx in the movie haha). i have no friends or other family besdes my mother and father on the island. i just moved here from Pennsylvania this last year. my cousin recommended "pet pawlour" as a boarding option. so i called them up and spoke with Kristy. She is the only person i have dealt with since Couldn't have found a nicer, more caring person. Shes not hard on the eyes to if you catch my drift haha. But seriously i told her i would need to board him for a while, roughly 1 or 2 months, till i find a pet friendly apartment. she gave me all the info and how much it would cost and such. Which as far as pricing they are the cheapest compared to any other place i called. 14$ a day and you supply your cats food. so i told her when i would be bringing him in and she said okay no problem and that he will set up his area, bed and what not. now the day has come to bring him in which was also the same day i was moving out of my apartment. in the process of packing and moving stuff into a storage unit i put his cat carrier in storage under furniture. i told kristy this and she said that i could come by and she would let me borrow hers, so i did just that. i brought him in, my mother came with me, and after i paid her and was getting ready to leave i started to get really upset and teary eyed, and my mother just completely started to cry. Kristy felt so bad, and tried to comfort us the best she could. literally that same night Kristy texted me and told me that Django was doing fine and that he started to eat his food right away, which she siad most cats dont do for a while because they are stressed and uncomfortable. so i think like 2 days passed and Kristy texts me from her personal cell phone and she sent me pictures randomly without me having to ask...then maybe another 2 days go by and she gives me a call and tells me that Djangos left ear was scabbed over from him scratching. Which i knew he started to scratch like 3 weeks prior to me bringing him there, but i was always on top of it cleaning it. Kristy was concerned as she told me that one of her own cats a while back did the same thing and it looked the same as Djangos, she said that when she took her cat to the vet it turned out to be ear mites, which is an INSANELY difficult thing to get rid off. so i asked if it really looked that bad and should i take him to vet? she told me yes because if its ear mites it can spread to the other animals and also do damage to django. so i made and appointment to take him the same week and took him to the vet...ALSO I SHOULD MENTION, i didnt have a vet, Kristy recommended Aadobe Animal Hospital on forest ave. So i listened to her and made teh appointed, i had to borrow her cat carrier again. took him to the vet and they were so nice and gentle with django. they told me it was just a infection and that they needed to clean it and give him a shot. which they had to sedate him as he doesnt like to be held and will rip you up. so i had that done but they finished with him at 430 and pet pawlour was already closed..i called Kristy and asked what should i do. she literally called her sister and had her come with a key and unlock the shop and set everything up for django, who was still very out of it from the anesthesia. I let Kristy know that i would be back the next day to come by and hang out for an hour or 2 with my Django. She said no problem. i got there she talked with my mother and i for a little before returning to work and we got to hang out and pet django, play with him, and the other cats. i could go on and on, but looking at what i wrote already i cant believe how long it is. if you want the TL;DR(To Long Didn't Read) version here it is: Great place great people, willing to work with you, they listen to everything you say and follow your instructions on how to take care of your pet. KRISTY is an angle sent from the heavens above. seriously she is amazing.
