After getting a recommendation on Facebook for a specific cat groomer for my Maine Coon, I took him to Pet Oasis today. The groomer Ashley claimed to be a Maine Coon groomer of six years. My Son and I left him at 1 pm and picked him up at 3 pm. I couldn't see the full cut because my baby was climbing all over me. We get home and he is omg butchered!!! While there I still felt a matt and asked her to cut it out. I get home and omg he looks terrible!!! His cut is completely choppy, totally uneven and his mane is chopped up badly! I texted her that I wasn't happy and she told me she could fix it. I told her I was completely unhappy and that it was so uneven everywhere. She then calls me and is yelling at me that she had no time to do it properly because she only had 2 hours with him. Andddd calls me "A fat ugly bitch!!" Then hangs up!! $90 and I gave her a $25 tip for this?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! The most unprofessional "groomer" I have ever met!!!! He looks terrible!!!! read more

Clean store and the store clerk, Gianna, was very friendly and welcoming. Would come back for sure ! My dog loved the treats

A small, but well stocked pet store. It's a bit pricey, but not without its reason. The clerk seemed fairly helpful. They have some high end rawhide, just fyi. read more

Go here. I tried to give my standard poodle a hair cut at home and it was a total disaster. Brought her to pet Oasis and couldn't be happier. We were greeted by a real dog lover at the entrance who immediately eased my anxiety of leaving Sasha with strangers, then Francesca took her back to get groomed and she's looking stunning! read more

Completely unhelpful. Both woman who work here are always on their lap tops and cellphones. One even wears the headset and locks herself inside. You have to knock on the door during open business hours? Some items on the shelf are expired and no one cares. The loyalty program is a joke. I've been coming for years and have yet to receive a discount on anything. Don't ask for a sign up if you don't offer the incentive back to your customers. Hire someone who is passionate about the job, actively seeks out to help customers, checks the shelf's for any expired items or coach your employees on basic interacting skills. Pathetic. read more

I came in on 12/14/17 to purchase a harness for my new dog. I was greeted by a very nice young lady Samantha I think was her name. She immediately asked me how am I and do I need any help. I told her what I was looking for and she quickly had exactly what I needed. She was very knowledgeable and described to me in detail how to properly install and adjust it. I thanked her and paid a very reasonable price and was on my way. I kind of had a little trouble figuring it out when I got home so I took my wife and dog to the store and asked if she would mind please helping me out. This girl in no time flat had it on and fitting perfect. I couldn't thank her enough I was so happy. She then answered some questions my wife had about grooming service they provide. Needless to say I will be coming here for all my dogs needs from now on. read more

Francesca did an amazing job!!! She is sweet, talented and so patient! My maltipoo loved her too which is very important to me. Also, she called me for permission when she had to go a little shorter than we discussed due to some matted fur on his belly. I really appreciate that! He came out absolutely perfect. I can't imagine sending Duke anywhere else. Michelle was such a help too! She was informative and so kind to us. Her customer service is excellent. The girls at Pet Oasis are wonderful! read more

Hi so this is my second time with Christina and she's great. Her personality with my dogs is so sweet, they actually want to walk into the store and they go to her voluntarily, they love her. So happy with her cuts and skills, and she's sweet. Downside, she's only at this location once a week for a couple of hours.. . And alex, the guy at the register is so cool and accommodating. Anything u need, if he has it he'll be sure u get it or try his best to help u out.. And even have a high school internship for kids. How great is that?? Talk about giving back to your community!!!!! read more

Oh. My. God. We have been taking our king haired dogs to different groomers around the five Boroughs for over 16 years. Francesca is a dog whisperer. 1.5 hours to perfectly groom my 50lb golden doodle and she came out happy, stress free and gorgeous. The price was also perfect. Not overwhelming for a larger medium sized dog. We are so happy with the outcome! read more

Love this place. I didn't know what to expect from a groomer so i thought everyone did a good job, until i came here! It was night and day with my pups haircut & coat. Francheska was wonderful and very knowledgeable, she tried to explain to me about my pups undercoat and what the groomer should be doing. Although the information didn't stick, i knew she knew what she was talking about! Not to mention both staff members would come out from their areas to play with my pup. He loves going there ! Highly recommend read more

We took our 6 month old Shih Tzu puppy Teddy to his first professional grooming appointment at Pet Oasis with Francesca and we absolutely loved her. She was so patient with him and did a really great job. You can tell when someone is a true animal lover. The appointment was under an hour which I think is great timing and not too much stress on the animal. Teddy was really happy after his appointment and looked really good. Also it's one on one grooming and no crating. We highly recommend Francesca at Pet Oasis. We'll definitely be returning. read more

I took Daisy to get groomed at Pet Oasis on Hylan Blvd with the groomer, Rhonda! This was Daisy's first grooming experience and I am so glad I chose Pet Oasis! I was always worried to bring Daisy to a groomer because Daisy is a very nervous pup an does not let strangers touch her, if they do she yelps, squirms, jumps and bites; very uncomfortable when she's nervous. I let the groomer know ahead of time about Daisy to make sure she would be comfortable and thankfully she was! I did bring a muzzle for Daisy for the groomers protection, and Rhonda did a great job working around Daisy's muzzle. Rhonda was very patient with Daisy, she tried her best to make her comfortable and really took her time. I'm so pleased with how they treated Daisy and how great of a job they did. With the way my dog is, I did stay with the groomer to control the dog, so if you feel like you have to do that, they won't have a problem with you staying which is grThe employees are also extremely friendly and social! I would be more than happy to bring her back for grooming at Pet Oasis with Rhonda, so I do recommend them! read more

Today, October 11th at 12:15 PM I went in Pet Oasis on Hylan Blvd in New Dorp. Upon entering the store the first thing there is, is the cash register counter. There is a girl behind the counter, long braid and dark brown hair with bangs, who did not have her mask on. I asked "Can you please put your mask on?" she gave me a dirty look and slowly raised her bandana, which hung around her neck to cover her mouth. I waited by the door for her to put it up completely and she said "you can come in I'm not gonna bite you." I replied "You're not going to bite me?" I am waiting for you to put your mask over your nose. She looked at me with daggers in her eyes and turned her head. I told her I don't think your manager will be happy with this. Two weeks ago when I went into the store she was eating at the counter and chatting with her coworker and I refrained from asking to put the mask on because she was eating. Honestly, you don't know if people are coming in with compromised immune systems and it is a risk to come in at all. My daughter told me to inform management, however I gave the benefit of the doubt, however I see I was mistaken. There is a young man who works often during the week and when I ask him he immediately puts it on correctly. When anyone enters the store the protocol should be to put the mask on properly. I know the manager Samantha expects so much more from her workers and values her customers. I had a third situation with the same girl, at the time her hair was purple, however again I refrained from asking. How dare she answer I'm not going to bite you and try to demean me or my situation. I am making a formal complaint to the Pet Oasis Corporation as well and expect this young lady to be reprimanded if not fired. read more

I was refer to Pet Oasis on Hylan by my dogs vet. He is a 2 year old shin tzu who all of a sudden had food issues. Looked like he was allergic to chicken. When I went in I had no idea what I was looking for or what kind of food I wanted for him. Just wanted him to get better. After a very informational conversation with Sam about different foods I decided to go with the raw diet. She said Teddy might not like it right away but the many benefits. Well that being said Teddy LOVES IT!! He is finally feeling so much better and honestly is so easy for me. Thanks for all your guidance and helping Teddy be healthy again. read more

I've been a customer at Pet Oasis since it opened almost 2 years now. I take my Maltese, Harry for grooming and buy everything he needs in the store. Samantha the Manager took extra care when I changed Harry's wet food from Blue Buffalo to another brand. She was patient and knowledgeable and recommended a few she thought were best for Harry based on the questions she asked about his likes and dislikes. She even gave me several different brands to try. Harry wound up loving Weruva! It's great and looks like I cooked it fresh for him! Christina is a great groomer too! Loving and patient and treats Harry like he's her own. So, for great service, staff and prices, visit Pet Oasis on Hylan Blvd. you won't be disappointed, read more

Never go to another place as long as Pet Oasis is around. Make sure you see Delores, she is beyond fabulous. Love, love, love this place.

This pet store recently opened up down the block from us. Went in there and explained to the employee that our dog has a very sensitive stomach and we were looking to switch his diet. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He gave us samples of food for us to try with our dog. After today's experience I will never shop in another local pet store. Will definitely recommend this location because out of all the locations of pet oasis I have been to this one was by far the best with the experience. read more

I've never in my life had such an amazing experience and a wonderful relationship with knowledgeable people who truly LOVE what they do especially their groomer DOLORES! As well as the rest of the staff! They are highly educated on what's best for our fur babies when it comes to food, treats, and toys! The second I walked into Pet Oasis the staff instantly became family. They know my fur baby on first name basis and exactly what she needs. It warms my heart to see such genuine people go above and beyond for our fur loves! My dog is a doodle and Dolores does a beautiful job with her coat and goes the extra mile making my baby look and feel her absolute best! Dolores and the staff have organized parties for our fur babies such as Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and yearly anniversaries providing their famous PUP-Cakes and many fun pup activities especially for the humans too! Organize donations for war dogs overseas and adoptions! So accommodating and a wonderful environment that I have such a hard time leaving because my dog wants to stay! They truly give back to their customers which is SUPER important! We love Aunt Dolly and the staff at Pet Oasis! read more
