I am beyond heartbroken and angry about what we experienced. We arrived a day early Sunday 01/18/26 at 11:20 AM and found our dog Zuko in an absolutely unacceptable condition. He was covered in poop and urine, visibly stressed, and had clearly been left like that for hours. The staff did not even offer to clean him. They handed him to us exactly like that until I demanded they wash him. Another dog, my son Luis, was found standing in a huge puddle of urine, which tells me neither of them was properly walked or cared for that morning. That is basic care. This is not a small mistake. This is neglect. Zuko is a rescue. We have worked so hard to make him feel safe, secure, and confident. Seeing him so scared that he came home, pooped in the hallway, and hid broke my heart. He has never done that before. He looked ashamed and terrified, and it honestly made me fear that he may have been yelled at or mistreated. No animal should ever leave a facility in that emotional state. What makes this even worse is that no one called us. No one apologized. No one explained. No one even tried to make something up. Nothing. That silence speaks volumes. It felt like they didn't care at all about the animals or their clients--only about money. This is not just bad service. This is animal neglect. Possibly animal cruelty. I trusted this place with a life that depends on humans to protect him, and that trust was completely shattered. If you love your pets, please think very carefully before leaving them here. read more

I've been taking my pitbull Zuko to this location for about a year or so. He is a rescue and can be a little difficult when giving baths however he has always come back smelling great and looking good. However, the staff never fail to complain about how difficult he is. And call him "bad" or say that he misbehaves. Never seem too happy for me to bring him in, but very much seem happy to receive payment. I had a funeral to go to for the weekend and I needed a place to keep Zuko from Friday to Sunday. And POSSIBLY pick him up on Monday. Being that this is my first experience with a dog hotel and grooming place. I made sure to ask questions and check up on my dog through phone call. They told me that he gets walked three times a day and has a bed and he was fine however, when I returned on Sunday, they did not expect me to be there. Come to find out my dog is not laying bed like they promised, but laying on a wet floor with a soaked wee wee pad. He was so happy to see us, but I couldn't touch him because his whole underside from the bottom of his jaw down to his belly was soaked in urine. His paws were dark yellow, as if he was sitting there for a while I was clearly clean just his give him a bath. While I was there with my mother, we were talking amongst ourselves about how Zuko was presented to us, and I heard the lady in the back complaining that we were "talking shit" I believe the bare minimum was done for my dog and not what they advertised. I had to give him a bath myself when I got home, which I'm probably going to do from now on. The grooming is cheap and the hotel stay is also cheap but you get what you pay for so please do your research before going to any Place like this. read more

I am surprised to see the negative reviews on this establishment as my experiences have been so different. However, I honor the fact that two truths can exist. I found Mr. Nico and Mac Dog during the pandemic when my other groomer was being very inconsistent in maintaining minimal business posture. I called, Nico was cordial and was happy to welcome Pharaoh, my 6lb yorkie who had been in despair as we waited for businesses to resume functioning. The location is beautifully decorated with murals leading into the walkway and up the stairs. Along the staircase are all these beautiful photos of animals they've catered to. Outside of grooming services they have space off the right of the front desk that houses a day care and doggy hotel with the capacity to sleep 7-8 dogs on a reservation based system. During drop off Mr. Nico asks me what I want for Pharaoh and is keen to deliver. Basic grooming $60 and they leave with a cute little bandana. Pharaoh has been with them for a year now and at least 6 times and I'm happy. He's never overjoyed about being left with anyone and this requires that he stays there for about 2 hrs on average. I check him for cuts, bruises etc before I leave and so far, he's good. read more

I've been taking my dog mya here for about almost 2 years usually in between Grooming I'll wash mya I just had a baby recently seven months ago to be exact so I'm still very much dealing with postpartum also while trying to navigate how to be a mom for the first time so yes, so yes I fell off on washing mya Two days ago, I took Maya to Mac Grooming they have dealt with my dog before so they know she does not like to be groomed and she does give some trouble nonetheless my dog is a 6 pound teacup yorkie and before handing her over, I told the owner that she may be matted, when I came later that day to pick her up, there were already two customers in front of me so they should have been served first, but instead the owner on me and starts going off on how I have such a terrible dog my dog has them. He's not sure what my dog has, his employees and my dog should be on some type of medications and I can no longer bring my terrible animal here that was not professional at all. I felt like he was intentionally trying to embarrass me in front of those people if you felt that way, you could've serve those people that were in front of me and then said whatever you had to say to me about my animal, but as I said before, I'm already dealing with a lot so I just paid him and I left Thursday is now Friday 107 in the afternoon and my dog is still acting out of the normal. I feel as though they were aggressive with my dog possibly even my dog before this groomer I had a groomer with retired and yes, she was also aware that my dog is troublesome with Grooming, but never has. She said that my dog has bitten her so I can't help but think if my dog did snap or bite anyone at Matt Grooming it was most definitely because she felt unsafe. Just make sure you read the reviews before taking your dogs to places that don't even ask for the proper paperwork for your dog to begin with. read more

Our dog who is extremely friendly, was even a bit nervous. I should have gone with my gut feeling and not leave our boy there. He came back with his entire butt shaved off. The woman explained to my husband that they used the wrong clippers and offered him $20 off. When I saw him, I was extremely disappointed. We also used the dog boarding for a week, when I picked up Rosie she was clean and happy and I can see that they took great care of her, they even gave me a phone call during the week which was nice. I recommend MAC grooming for all your pet needs including boarding! They are friendly, attentive, kind and affordable and that is what keeps us coming back as happy customers! Went there to pick up a family dog and was immediately met with a racist undertone while being questioned about the dog that they did not allow me to pick up. When I called back and explained the situations to the groomer "Niko" he then yelled, cursed, interrupted, and hung up the phone on me. I was being understanding of his point yet he did not let me speak and threatened to call the police if I returned. I did nothing wrong and only called for clarity on the situation, however I only felt even more disrespected than I already was after entering the spa only to be questioned and turned away rudely. We had a really great experience here! Our maltese needed to be groomed, and the place recommended to us was closed. As we were driving, we saw their sign and made an appointment. The representative on the phone was super nice and we felt comfortable bringing our dog there. The location's entrance is on the side of the building, so it's easy to miss! You walk through a door and up some stairs to their adorable store. We were promptly greeted by the groomer, a very nice man. He shook our hand immediately and led us on a short tour of their facilities. Everything looked so clean and nice, and he made every effort to set us at ease with leaving our dog in his care. For the past year or so, I had taken our dog's grooming into my own hands and he was definitely in need of some professional attention! Not matted, but his hair was all different lengths, etc. We had a short consultation before we left our dog, and felt confident that he would be able to achieve what we wanted. When we picked our dog up, I was so thrilled! We have a 10-year-old dog that came out looking like a puppy! I know our dog can be a little "nippy" and go crazy when people try to groom him. When I've taken him into other groomers before, he always ends up with at least one cut during the process...but not this time! He looks beautiful and is so happy to be handsome again. I never had a yelp in my life but for this I had to make one. Took my dog here Saturday to get groomed. It was in the area so I decided give it a shot. Seemed nice when I got in, brought my dog in WITH NO ISSUES. Came out of the groomer with my dog ears looking red and looks very painful, her eye had crust and she barely could even open the left eye. Both her ears down to her neck a little looked super red. The owner told me she's going bald they had to shave her down he also sold me a ointment to put on her ear. Bringing my dog home I was monitoring her because she wasn't acting like herself. Later on that day her eye was getting worst and the cut was looking way more painful i then took her to the hospital. The hospital told me the ointment he sold to me was 1 not good for her because it's going to make it worst and provided me with another ointment. Then gave my dog antibiotics because they suspect infection and they also flushed her eyes to clean them. My poor dog did not deserve this treatment. So when I was at the hospital I texted the owner NICK and told him what happened and what the doctor said he then told me " she must have came in there with an infection already cause it doesn't happen that quick " as if a doctor doesn't know more then a groomer. He also said he was going to call me later that day but nothing. Going to take this further because he is very unprofessional and money hungry. Keep in mind I paid a 400+ hospital visit bill for my dog. Unacceptable and disgusting. Nick you will get what you deserve you deserve to be shut down. read more

Take these bad reviews seriously, my dog is hurt and it was a waste of money. I called the place it first seemed alright he said it will cost 55. Then after my dog got his haircut he said it was 70!! Note my dog is a small dog. They were definitely rough with him. Under my dogs eyes, close to the snout, it was VERY red and irritated almost looked like it was close to bleeding, my dog was clearly in pain. The worst part is my dogs new ear infection, after taking him and brought him home, i looked at his ear and it was atrocious, it looks as if it was burned and there's crust it's a bad infection. This wasn't there before, when i called this place to tell them the error they did, they didn't take responsibility for it and said there was already a small infection there. If it was a small infection there already, 1 he should've told me it was there(which it definitely was not) 2, how is a small infection supposed to grow so fast in only an hour? It makes zero sense. But i left it alone, the only thing to do now is to let others know and take him to the vet. read more

It takes a lot for me to give negative reviews. I take being a reviewer seriously especially as an Elite member of Yelp. That being said, I felt it imperative to give a review of this Dog Groomer. I have two rescued Yorkies that have been through hell and back prior to finding a home with us. We took our dogs here for the second time after the first grooming went well and the staff were very friendly. However, when my husband brought them home I noticed one of my dogs shrank away from my touch and kept wimpering. HE NEVER DOES THAT. I immediately picked him up and noticed his right eye was BLOOD RED not irritated red like TRAMA to the eye red in the corner. My husband called MAC and they told my husband, 1. "Oh, we forgot to mention soap got in his eyes." (soap would NOT do that) 2. "Your dog was aggressive and he bites" (NOTE: BITE HOW?!? MY DOG HAS NO TEETH! They were removed from the prior neglect he endured.) My dog they were referring to is 5-6 pounds SOAKING WET WITH NO TEETH! Are you kidding me? His eye was not irritated...IT WAS BLOOD SHOT RED it is an injury as if he was hit in the eye with something!!!!!! What made everything worse was that instead of simply informing us of what happened and being honest when we picked them up OR when we called they began to insult our intelligence with implausible statements and downright untruths of what happened. We are reasonable people, but what we are not is stupid. We paid you for a service, you injured my dog and you lied about it. I am completely and totally disgusted. My dog has MORE stress after all he has been through. I need to know that if something happens to my pet, whom I love dearly, the groomer would simply tell the truth no matter what and not be deceitful. Now we have to visit the vet and hope there is no long term damage. This is the entire truth. It is to no one's advantage including my dog and I to embellish this incident or the business's response to it. MAC's response to this incident was simply inexcusable. read more

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this place. I took my dog here for grooming and while he was in their care, they left him unattended in a metal bath tub. The bottom of the tub had drain holes and my dog's paw got stuck and I believe he hurt his leg trying to yank it out himself. The owner wasnt even 100% sure what happened that is why I am assuming they weren't even paying him attention. At first, they took full responsibility and went with me to the vet to see if he was okay. The vet prescribed medication and said to come back if he was still limping a week later to take X-Rays. A week later my dog was still limping and he still is two weeks later to this day. When I told the owners of this place that he was still hurt and needed XRays, they cursed me and my boyfriend out over the phone. They refuse to pay for any medical attention my dog still needs. They tried to brush it off as if he was fine (they are not a vet and have no right to tell me if my dog is okay or not). He clearly isn't okay if he's still limping TWO WEEKS LATER! As PROFESSIONALS, if a dog gets hurt in YOUR CARE while being in your facility, the right thing to do is take full responsibility. My dog still has sprain/ slight tear to his ACL just because of this place. Therefore, I would not recommend trusting this place with your dog. I do understand accidents happen, but if you refuse to take responsibility, that is just TERRIBLE. My dog can have issues for years to come and they rather create a bad reputation for themselves instead of owning up to their mistakes and simply paying for his medical bills. So this is a WARNING before taking your dog here! Very careless to leave a dog unattended while there are many thing around that can hurt them. I typically don't write reviews but I just passed by this place again a year after I left my dog here for the day and cannot believe it is still open. First of all Guytana supposedly watches the dogs at the day care facility but in fact she stays in her home which is connected to the day care and leaves the dogs in the day care ALONE. My one year old dog came home terrified and would not come out from under my bed after spending a day here. A few hours after I brought him home he threw up....... his leash!!!! Which they tied him up with all day. He ate through it. I brought a ziplock bag of his dog food (just one cup and half) and that came back completely full. They didn't even feed him!!!! Someone needs to shut this place down. Don't bring ur dog here. read more
